Hey there!
I'm Ishaan Guha and I've been drawing since the innocent age of 5, and started taking art seriously around 2019 after my board exams were over.
I mainly specialise in inks and sometimes graphite. I'm still on the journery of improvement, and I hope I can inspire millions more with the art I post.
Have a great day 💪🤜🤛

Sensational Shoutout - Sahib Chaggar
(Era: Sensational Shoutout i.)

"Hey, my name is Sahib Chaggar, and my pronouns are he/him. I'm someone who can't just be an audience member and content consumer; there's always a want in me to create and showcase my own talents. One of these are sketching.
My page @/scrupulous.strokes is a mix of what I'm good at and what I'm passionate about. Growing up, I have always been fascinated by comic book charaters. They're charged with superpowers and yet have so many flaws in them and hage to deal with huge world-saving problems. The way they deal with them shows their real character, thereby educating us about what's right and wrong."

Introducing: Sensational Shoutouts
instagram: @/thesaaiofficial
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
To work towards promoting content created by South Asian artists, the SAAI team presents Sensational Shoutouts.
Sensational Shoutouts are a sub-project started to aid in South Asian artistry receiving the love it deserves. They work by us receiving content created by a South Asian artist they wish to see promoted, and we may also contact you privately via Instagram and Tumblr for your permission to form a special post featuring your works.
Content you wish to see promoted may be sent to us either on our Instagram @/thesaaiofficial or our Tumblr @/saai-official along with a writeup introducing yourself, your account, and your work.
However, please do keep in mind that not all work you send may be posted. In those rare occasions, we'll contact you informing why it won't be possible for us to promote your piece.
Entries are officially open! We hope to acheive our main goal via this project, which is to see South Asian artistry receiving the love it deserves.
Thank you!

Chikankari - The Art of Embroidery and Detail
ig: @/thesaaiofficial

The famous Greek traveler Megasthenes describes the beauty of intricate floral motifs and patterns on cloth using chikankari in his work 'Century BC'.
The story follows the traveler when he passes by a small village in Lucknow, India, and his throat was sore due to thirst. There, he met a man who offered him water. To express his gratitude, the traveler taught him chikankari embroidery to make him self reliant, and so that he may never live without the basic essentials of his life.
Chikankari is the authentic artwork of Lucknow, and is the delicate art of crafting shadow and designer type embroidery. This is usually done on a white yarn or colorless muslin cloths over a temporarily made pattern.

A majority of women are involved in the production of these breath-taking creations, and work tirelessly to make them by hand.

An array of floral arrangements adorning drapes with creepers is one of the most famous chikankari works by far, and rightfully so. Chikankari works also feature jasmine, roses, flowering stems, and lotus sewed on the sides of the main artwork.

Although very famously used for South Asian bridal couture dresses, chikankari is also regularly adorned on pillows, bed sheets, duvet covers, bath linens, drapes, and more for a more gorgeous personal touch.
