I recognise that this may be a controversial opinion on the "everything is better when girls" website, but I feel like making the action-adventure game protagonist's obligatory tutorial/exposition-providing bratty little fairy companion a boy is underexplored territory.

In hindsight the second hypothetical of the last post was vague and unclear so I'm clarifying here.

The secondary question was, "what happens when the Affini, a race that believes themselves to be superior to all others, runs into a race that is a demonstrably higher weight class than them. Bonus points if it's not a whole species and is just one singular entity of a more Eldritch nature.

okay random thought: what would happen if the affini encountered a race of people who were already unapologetically themselves. The affini's whole shtick is that they domesticate planets in order to help their people be their best selves (or at least that's their justification), what would happen if they encountered a race of people where NO argument could possibly be made that they aren't already their best selves and don't need the coalition in the slightest?

separately: what if they encountered a race like the czarnians from DC that simply CAN'T be domesticated through sheer force of body/mind

one time i visited a cemetery and this one dude's grave had THE sexiest male angel statue i've ever fucking seen. like. he was nude except for a sword and helmet. he had nipples. you could see his entire bare thigh. what a baller move to put an ancient athenian's wet dream on top of your eternal resting place. i think about him a lot.

two side notes

1: is it just me or is the Triforce of power drastically better than the other ones? the Triforce of courage makes you naturally talented if not prodigious with a sword, and the Triforce of wisdom does the same with magic, but the Triforce of power just outright grants it's owner unparalleled power (both physical and magical), immortality, and simply won't let it's user die.

2: the idea of being an immortal stuck in a cycle of reincarnation must be horrific. every few centuries you have to fit the same reincarnated hero, who while similar in many ways to the last one, is ever so slightly different in minor ways like equipment, outfit style, and personality. the worst part being they are unaware of the reincarnation process and don't remember the last time you fought. it's akin to an imperfect time loop; each time is slightly different, but only you notice it.

through a massive spiral through Zelda lore i've come to realize that in most canon timelines Ganon/Ganondorf just straight up can't die. in the fallen hero timeline he keeps getting sealed away so it's implied every time you fight him he's not reincarnating it's just the same guy, and in both the other timelines he demonstrates that even as Ganondorf he's functionally immortal since he's still alive in both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, which both take place at least a century after Oot. The thing that cements this for me was the cutscene in Twilight Princess where the sages stab him in the gut with a holy sword and kill him, only for the triforce of power to jumpstart him back to life, which he was going to use at the end of the game when Link stabbed him the same way, only for it to be shut down by Zant's pissed off ghost.
