it had been a very interesting twenty four hours. emotions had been al over the place but now all that she felt was happy. she hadn't thought that he would be popping the question. part of her was relieved that it wasn't some big production. they were in his hotel room and it was just the two of them. it was everything that she could have wanted. the tears were falling but she couldn't stop smiling, nodding," yes!" nothing else mattered in that moment besides them. they were going to share their life and their future. she knew that he was it for her and had known it since that night in new york. her gaze was focused on him and she nodded," i promise i'll do the same, you are the only one that i could dream of having a future with." he took the ring from the box and slid it onto her finger. it fit her perfectly and she couldn't believe it. "i think that i do," she breathed," probably as happy as you've just made me." the ring was so perfect and she wasn't going to want to take it off for even a second. though she knew if she was photographed with it on, so many questions would be thrown her way. he was climbing to his feet and she reached for him," i love you too, so much." a gasp escaped as he hoisted her up but she wrapped around him in an instant. sabrina couldn't stop herself from laughing a bit as he carried her towards the bedroom," i love you more than i ever realized i could love someone," she whispered," you've become so important to me, you're all i want, i love you so much." she found herself laid on the bed, going to look towards the ring on her hand," i'm going to be mrs. sabrina pascal," she breathed," and we're going to be so ridiculously happy together."
It was clear that Sabrina was surprised by his words and even him on his knee for her. In a sense, that's what he wanted the most because he didn't want her to suspect his move when it came to proposing to her. As the tears began to swell and roll down her face, he went into a slight panic because he wasn't sure if it was out of happiness or not, but as she nodded and began to speak, Pedro couldn't help but let the grin take over his lips. "Si?" He asked again, wanting to hear her say it once again.
Pedro knew that they would have a lot to explain to their families, but in that given moment all he could think about was their future. Their happiness. He wanted her more than anything else in this world, and he wasn't afraid to admit that. "I promise to love you for the rest of my life. I promise to make sure that you're happy and well taken care of." He spoke slowly in attempt to keep himself centered and focused, and with that, he took the ring out of the box and slipped it onto her ring finger.
Brown hues looked at the ring that he had chosen for her on her finger, and he couldn't help but choke up at the sight. "You have no idea how happy you've just made me, amor." Now that the ring had been slipped onto her finger, he rose back up on both his feet and looked down at the blonde. "I love you."
There was something within him that just took control, and thank god for that. Both his hands were quickly on her thighs just under her ass and he lifted her off the floor, her body pressed against his. "Tell me how much you love me, por favor." His words a demand as he carried her back to the bedroom and slowly but gently laid her down on their bed. "You're mine and I'm yours for the rest of our lives."

sabrina was resisting the urge to possibly pace. she didn't know what he could have for her. he was one of the few people that seemed to be able to surprise her. it felt like an eternity passed but it was really only a few minutes. her eye brows arched up the second that he reappeared. he seemed to be holding something behind his back and looked surprised that she was on her feet. her eye brow arched up as he brought up how he had just asked her to marry him," you-you were planning on it?" that wasn't something that she had expected. she hadn't been too sure if he had been serious when they had talked about it briefly before. she wasn't too sure what she was supposed to say or if he wanted an answer to his question. any other thought flew from her head the second she realized he was saying her full name. her breath hitched in her throat the second he went down on one knee. it was a something that she was never going to be able to forget. he held up a ring box and was opening it to show the most beautiful ring she could have imagined. her gaze went towards his face then back to the ring. she nodded quickly, feeling more tears forming," oh my god." she realized that she hadn't actually said yes but she was feeling overwhelmed. one of her hands reached to wipe at her face but she held out her left hand for him," yes, a thousand times, yes, i'd love to be your wife." all that she was thinking about was their future and how happy they were going to be. marriage wasn't something she had considered because she was so focused on her career but she wasn't going to deny herself.
Shutting the velvet box, Pedro took a deep breath in before walking out and as he walked out of the room he exhaled slowly because his nerves were getting the best of him. What if she declined him once she saw the ring? What if she got scared because of how serious he truly was with his proposal? Two main thoughts that were running through his head, and he tried his best to push them aside because he didn't want his negative thoughts to ruin this moment for him. For them.
Walking out of the room, he held the box behind his back and met her halfway, he was a bit surprised by the fact that she had moved off the couch. "Okay, so I know I just asked you to marry me in the heat of the moment, but it's been something that I've been planning, and I had envisioned myself asking you after meeting your parents...but, it just feels right now?" His sentence sounding more like a question than a statement, but he wasn't looking for an answer.
"Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter...." he began as he went down on one knee and moved his arm that held the ring box forward towards her, and opened it, "will you do me the honor of being my wife...my partner for life?" As he spoke out his question, he couldn't help but choke out the last bits of his question to her. It all felt so surreal but also so perfect, because he was finally able to express what he had been thinking about for weeks now.
As he waited for a response, so many thoughts rushed trough his mind. Nothing negative this time. The only thing going through his mind at that moment, was what their future would be like. How proud his mom would be of him, and how thrilled his family would be that he finally found a person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. All things that he never thought he'd see for himself. All the had thought about for the longest time was his career, but in that moment? That was the farthest thing from his mind.

sabrina sighed since she knew that he was being sincere. he wanted to avoid hurting her again. they both wanted to take care of each other but knew that relationships came with hurt. sometimes it was unavoidable and that was just how it is. she nodded as he spoke of how he could attempt to try," that's all i ask and i'll try my best to not hurt you." she hoped that she wouldn't but you never knew. they needed to be honest with each other, completely. that was something that she knew they needed in order to work. there were certain things that were hard to talk about. sabrina could only imagine how hard it was for pedro to think about, let alone speak about his mother. it was a huge loss that he had suffered. her teeth caught onto her lip as he sighed," i know what it means," she admitted," but when i say that i want you, that means all of you, even the dark or ugly parts that you keep tucked away." her hand reached to run through his hair as she took a deep breath," and she would have been so proud of all of you," she told him," and happy for all of you." she didn't want to keep thinking about his past. especially because she might lose her temper in regards to it. she wanted to just focus on him and them. it felt like they were moving in the right direction. a smile appeared on her face as he confirmed that she was the only one. she felt so completely relieved that they were no longer fighting and that she no longer wanted to avoid him. there was the brief thought that she'd need to get her things from the other room. the kiss was something that they needed. it was gentle but fueled with desperation. she couldn't help but stare in surprise at how quickly he was willing to take responsibility," i can't wait for that conversation to take place." she knew her dad would likely be in shock at meeting pedro and let alone finding out that his youngest daughter was getting married. confusion hit her as he told her that he had something for her," you do?" she allowed him to move her and watched him as he moved about the suite. the blonde sat up as she wondered what he could possibly have. she found herself climbing to her feet and resisting the urge to go into the room to see what he was doing.
"While I don't know that to be true right now...I can at least try my best to not hurt you like this again." Sabrina did make a valid point in saying that he couldn't' guarantee not hurting her again, but he was the type of man to try and keep his word regardless. He was self-aware that there would or could be times that he couldn't help the inevitable of hurting a person, but as long as he was honest with her and an open book then he'd have those chances be at an all time low. Which he was sure was what she wanted, and what he wanted, as well.
As he sat there with her, he thought about how scary it would be to open up about his mother to her, but knowing that she wanted to hear more about the woman who raised him made him feel a sense of relief to a point that he'd be willing to speak of her. Letting out a soft sigh, not because he was upset or frustrated with the situation more so because they were finally getting somewhere. "I hope you know that because you just said that, that means I'm going to let out all the ugly for you to see." Maybe the term ugly wasn't the best way to describe it, but to him, that's how he saw it. A past that he couldn't exactly fix or make sound pretty. "Pains me to know that she isn't here. Here to see what her kids made of themselves..."
Her words short when he brought up Dakota yet again. That's when he realized that it was best to leave it at that. The last thing he wanted was to make her more upset about his past, a past that was left there for a reason. All he wanted her to focus on was them. The love he had for her and how she made him feel.
Looking at her, he blinked a few times at her comment, he almost smiled as he heard her speak but refrained from doing so. "You are, I swear." If he had to remind her of that every single day of his life then he would. It wouldn't be work to him at all, in fact, it'd finally give him an excuse to shower her with endless love for the rest of their lives.
As his lips were pursed, he motioned his lips to the side as she spoke out his name softly. And when she said that, she wanted to be his and just his, he allowed himself to be swept into the kiss. His lips meeting hers in desperation but keeping it sweet and tender. It felt like they had been apart of years and not just a night, but this reunion was everything to him. "I'll take full responsibility for it, I don't care." He finally said, his lips pulling into a side-way grin. "I have something for you..." he said, his words leaving her hanging for a moment, "aver," Pedro gently moved her off him, positioning her to the side of him and he stood up. Disappearing into the room, he pulled out a black velvet ring box from the nightstand on his side. It was a ring he had bought in a Harry Winston store during one of his off days while roaming the streets of London — Pedro knew what he wanted, and when he wanted something he didn't let it go. Opening the box before walking back out, he looked at the ring and knew, he knew that this was it.

i love hearing that! everyone has been asking for confirmation about what inspired it and i thought it was obvious? maybe it is just to a select few people. i am so ready for it to be out in the world! i have no idea if it'll get me another grammy but thank you!
Tumblr media
Of course it is - it's so fucking catchy. I would ask what inspired the song but I fair it is a very obvious thing. Great - I can't wait until your new album is put out cause it's going to be immediately on my rotation when it is. Can't wait for more Gramyms to come your way with it.

sabrina knew that he didn't need a reminder of how he had hurt her. she had left him alone for the night when they both liked to be close. it was something that she never would do if she was okay. though she had the feeling that she was going to be back in his room that night. she sighed as he promised that it wouldn't happen again," you don't know that." she wished that he could but she knew there was a chance that something could happen again. she didn't know if it would but they could hope that it wouldn't. she knew that the loss that he had suffered but she didn't know how much. he hadn't told her everything but she felt like she knew more now. everyone had ways that they kept themselves safe. sabrina knew that he was trying trying to protect himself. though she hoped that he would feel safe enough to talk to her about the hard things," it's okay if it's not okay," she told him slowly, whispering back," i would have loved her too." she wasn't sure that she wanted to hear more about what he had done with his co star. her head tilted as he spoke about why he thought that had happened," it just did." she wasn't sure what to think about that. she didn't want to make him feel worse about it. especially since she knew that he had a habit of beating himself up. she almost wondered if she hadn't come along, that dakota would be in her position. she didn't want to think about that. instead she wanted to focus on what was going on now. it felt like the stress was leaving her body when she climbed into his lap. he seemed to fall back but his arms were wrapping around her. everything always felt better when she was in his arms. it was an utter relief to hear him say those words," i better be." her head lifted as she felt his hand pushing her hair out of her face. nothing could have prepared her for the next two words that came from him. her head lifted as she realized that he was being serious. "pedro," she breathed, feeling as if they were crazy. tears were filling her eyes but they were happy ones. her breath hitched as she realized that she hadn't actually given him an answer. she knew that she had told him no proposing but it seemed that was out the window," that's all i want, i want to be yours and just yours." she pulled him into a kiss that vaguely tasted like the salt from their tears. the kiss was gentle and she had to force herself to break it before deepening it," but you have to be the one to explain to my family why you didn't meet them before you proposed."
Pedro pursed his lips as she made the comment about how much it hurt. Fact of the matter, he couldn't be mad at the comment because he knew that it did hurt her. The fact that she had to up and leave while getting her own room was proof enough, and it was something that he hated. Knowing that she was so close yet so far, and all because he wasn't one hundred percent honest with her. "It won't happen again, I promise." His words soft and sincere — if he could avoid an argument like this again, he would and he knew that they would still have fights just like any other couple, but he didn't want it to be over him not being honest or open.
Shrugging at her apology, he appreciated it but he knew that there was nothing that could be done to fully erase what he had felt all those years. Being so closed off was sort of like a defense mechanism to him and not having someone in his life like Sabrina made it easy not to talk to anyone about it, but now? He knew that it was something she wanted him to do, and he would try. Even if it pained him, Pedro knew that he could trust her with his feelings and thoughts. "It's okay..." his words merely a whisper as his brows cinched together, "she would have loved you."
"I don't know how it happened either, since I typically keep my distance from co-stars after our scenes are over. It just did..." It was the truth, one day it just happened and it took a mind of its own — it was fun while it lasted, but Pedro wasn't looking for anything serious at the time and was just looking to blow off steam. When Sabrina walked into his life though? It was different, and for a moment he fought the feelings that intensely grew within him, but there was a point where he knew he couldn't resist.
As Sabrina crawled up into his lap, he leaned back against the couch and wrapped his arms around her giving her a slight and gentle squeeze. God how he needed her to be this close, "You're all I want too." Raising one of his hands up towards her hair, he pushed aside a few strands from her face behind her ear. "Marry me..." two words that came with a punch escaped him — he had thought about it for weeks now, and he had been fighting the urge to ask her, "let me be yours and only yours for the rest of our lives."

"probably as much as it pains me that you weren't honest," she said without thinking about how hurtful the words could be. sabrina knew that she wasn't in the greatest state of mind. she should have stepped back and let him keep talking. it was something that she wanted to be able to process. she wasn't sure what was going to happen and what direction their conversation was going. it felt like there was a chance that things between them could come to an end. that wasn't what she wanted, at all. normally she'd be in his hold or within reach. she knew that if she did that, any chance of keeping her composure would go out the window. no matter what, they longed to feel that physical connection. that closeness they shared was something that they both needed. it felt wrong but she knew that she needed to stay clear minded," i can't imagine that it would be easy to talk about," she paused," or think about, i'm sorry that you have suffered so much and i wish i could have met her." the petite blonde was struggling to figure out what she felt or what she was supposed to do. she inhaled sharply as he spoke of his past with dakota. she couldn't help but take a deep breath," i don't understand how you accidentally land in bed with a friend but if you say she's nothing, then i'm going to believe you." that didn't mean that she was going to like the actress but that was't something she was concerned with. she was unthinking as she kneeled down in front of him. he reached for her hands and his question threw her. her teeth caught onto her lip," it's what i want, you are what i want." they both had tears in their eyes and she froze when he reached to wipe away at a few of hers. she had no idea if he was feeling as unsure as she was. that was what propelled her to move," i love you too, i know-i know you didn't mean to hurt me." she crawled up into his lap to wrap herself around him and hid her face against his neck, feeling the urge to hide," this isn't what either of us wanted or thought would happen when i came for this visit." she had wanted it to be good but she knew all couples fought," i lo-love you so much, i want you-just you."
"You have no idea how much it pains me knowing that you don't think I trust you." It really did pain him in a way he didn't think was possible. Instead of making her absolutely happy, he was making her feel like she couldn't be trusted. That he didn't or couldn't trust her with his deepest trauma. The thing was, he did, he did trust her but he just hadn't gotten to that part yet. He had gone back and forth with himself on how to tell her. Another thing he constantly thought about was how she might want out of the relationship they were building because of all the shit he had gone through. Truth of it all, he was scared of losing her.
Yet here he was on the brink of possibly losing her and Lux made him self aware of that. It was light someone had grabbed a knife and stabbed him right in the heart — watching as she kept her distance from him. Usually they couldn't fight the urge of being near each other, and were always all over one another but now? She felt so far away, almost unreachable and that killed him. The ache in his heart was almost unbearable, but he didn't let himself break. "As much as I hate that you had to find out from her about our mom, I'm a bit relieved that you did. Just thinking about bringing it up to you aches. Reliving that pain while telling the story to someone new hurts...even if it's someone that I love more than anything in the world." As Pedro spoke, he could feel himself choking up, the sensation straight in the middle of his throat that felt like it was barbed wires tightening on his throat.
"I'm sorry for blindsiding you, baby. I'm sorry that you had to find out from her directly and not me." This was one of his biggest regrets to date and he understood why she was upset. Why she kept her distance from him. "If you want me to be honest with you, it only lasted during the summer. After that? It ended and I dove myself into work...so much fucking work. I never saw her as anything more than just a friend who I accidentally landed in bed with a few times." The way he described it was probably the worst, but it's how he thought of it, and she wanted honesty, so he was giving it to her.
Watching as she kneeled in front of him and taking his hands into hers, he was hesitant at first but then took her hands. "Are you sure that this is what you want?" He almost didn't ask, but he couldn't help it. "Sabrina, I fucking love you and I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry for being a fucking idiot and hurting you this way..." letting go of one of her hands, he raised his to cup her face and wiped away her tears with his thumb gently.

it felt like she was dancing along that inevitable edge. if she made one wrong move, she'd fall off it and lose control of her emotions. it was something that she wanted to avoid. everything about her relationship with pedro was different. including how they handled everything. she knew that if she closed the distance, she could just sink into him. that was why she remained planted by the door, leaning against it," it feels that way, pedro." she knew that sometimes it was hard to bring up those painful memories. the blonde thought that he would be willing to open himself up to her, completely. lux had explained what had happened to their mother. the circumstances of which pedro had lost her. she could understand why it was painful for him to discuss. though she would think that he would trust her enough to let her all the way in. she hadn't kept something big from him like that and she continued to stare up towards the ceiling," i know it all happened so fast," she told him," we did and i never expected to fall for you as hard or as fast as i did but i thought you'd tell me the big stuff, the important stuff and it took me calling your sister crying, for me to find out." she wasn't sure how she felt about all of it. it felt like her mind was everywhere. her hold on the door handle tightened a bit as he brought up dakota," i don't know what i want you to do about it either," she admitted," but i don't like being blindsided and it doesn't matter if it would have made me more upset, you should have been honest with me." at his words about not wanting him, her head tilted down so she could meet his gaze. it took her a few moments but she finally moved. her stomach was in knots but she went to kneel in front of him. her hands reached for his as she allowed herself to take a deep breath," i want you, i still-still want this, us, we both have trauma but it's something we have to be honest about with each other." she felt tears escaping and didn't bother trying to wipe them away," just be fucking honest with me, always."
Each and every word that Sabrina spoke made him realize that she was right, and for once he knew that he had to be open with her and let her in completely rather than taking it so slow. It wasn't until her last sentence that caused him to swallow hard — how could he respond to that and not crack mid-sentence. Brown hues looked at her for a brief moment before looking away — leaning forward his elbows on his thighs, and both hands on either side of his face. "It's not that I don't trust you, Sabrina." He trusted her with everything in him, but opening a wound that he had been carrying around for years was something he always had trouble with.
He rarely spoke about his mother with his family, it wasn't until recent years that he slowly began to speak about her without crying. A part of him was glad that Lux had told Sabrina about her, but now he was suffering the consequences of not telling her himself and he knew that pained her. It was written all over her face, and Pedro knew that this was a kind of hurt that couldn't be forgiven quickly. If the roles were reserved he'd be hurt too, he couldn't deny that. "I know if I were in your shoes then I'd be hurt too, and I'm not saying that you don't have the right to be hurt or upset with me. Everything between us has happened so fast, and I was over taken by so much love for you that I never expected it..." Pedro still couldn't bring himself to look up at her, "I wasn't expecting falling in love with you the way that I did and it scared me. But I allowed myself to fully embrace you, us. I was going to tell you about my mom...I just didn't know how or when."
Letting out a soft sigh, he moved his hands up toward his hair, running his fingers through his curls. "And the whole thing with Dakota...I don't know what you want me to do about that. I can take accountability about not telling you about her, and I should have when you shared your concerns about her but I didn't want you getting more upset. It's also a thing of the past...the only one I want is you. Just you. But if you don't want me, want this then I understand. I come with a lot of trauma and it's something I've come to terms with, but I am trying. And if that's something you don't want to add to your life then...I get it."

sabrina wished that she was able to be rational, especially when it came to pedro. there was something about him that just made it feel impossible. otherwise she knew she wouldn't have gone down to his room. anyone else and she would have let them wait. the both of them had a tendency to overthink and she wanted to avoid doing anymore of that. plus she didn't want him to spin out more than he probably had. she stopped midway through stepping in at how quickly he bolted upright. she shrugged since she wasn't feeling too sure of herself," i wasn't going to," she admitted," my mind and body are on different pages." it always was whenever things didn't feel right between them. she took a deep breath as he confirmed that lux had called him. she forced herself to move, going to shut the door behind her. under any other circumstance, she would have joined him on the couch. instead as the door shut, she fell back with it. her fingers still wrapped around the door handle. she didn't speak because he beat her to it, shocked that he was actually spilling his guts out. her stomach felt like it dropped as he spoke of why he tended to not let others in or kept himself closed off. "i understand things being too painful to talk about," she slowly said once her brain seemed to catch up. she couldn't imagine suffering such a huge loss so early in life. she could understand why he lived the way he did but she didn't think it was best. her gaze went to the floor and she took a few deep breaths," but in relationships, you have to be open, it hurt me that you constantly tell me that we need to talk things out and i feel like you aren't doing that with me." she had told herself she wouldn't cry but her throat was already tightening up," and it hurt that i had to find out about something that big in your life from your sister." her eyes squeezed shut as she attempted to keep herself in check," how can i...think about wanting to be your wife when i feel like you don't trust me?"
Once he had sent her that text, he found himself going straight to the couch and threw himself onto it. Kicking off his shoes, he laid there and starred up at the ceiling. Thoughts running faster than he could control — he thought about how Lux had a point in telling him that if he didn't tell her everything then he was going to lose the one good thing he had in his life and he didn't want that. He had already told her that he envisioned a future with her. That was something he didn't do with anyone, not even past relationships. There was just something so special about her, about them.
The knock at the door startled him, brows cinched as he looked over at the door as it began to open. It was either Sabrina or Coco, the only two people who had a key to his room and would come in. Although, he thought it was Coco because of the knock before opening. He pursed his lips once he caught a glimpse of the blonde, and that was enough to get him to sit up straight on the couch. "I didn't think you were going to come...." he began softly, and quickly nodded at her question, "she did, and she told me that you know about our mom and all that..." It still pained him to this day to talk about her, and how he went about life after the fact.
"I normally don't talk about her to anyone outside the family because the pain that's there it's too big and I'd rather keep that bottled up and pushed to the side. It's one of the many reasons why I close myself off to pretty much everyone, and why I live such a private life. So, I normally don't talk about my past, even if it means talking about past hook ups because then I just begin to spiral and if I can avoid that? I do." Word vomit was all he could do in that moment, and maybe it was a lot to unleash just as she walked through the door, but if he didn't start now he wasn't going to do it.

sabrina had no idea how long she had ended up on the phone with lux. there had been some tears and a lot of rambling. she couldn't remember feeling so wiped out emotionally. she had ended up curling up in the bed and finding some awful reality show for background noise. she had tossed and turned for most of the night, not actually resting. it had taken every single ounce of her will power to not text pedro or show back up at his door. she doubted that it would go over well. eventually she gave up on sleep and ended up going to take a very long shower. it felt like nothing else was going to make the tension she was carrying away. she was still thinking about her conversation with pedro and then the one with lux. it felt like she finally had all the pieces to the puzzle but too late. she hadn't known about pedro's mom and everything that had happened. he hadn't mentioned her and she hadn't pushed. she had started to pull on some clothes when she realized her phone was going off. her hand tugged on the hem of the shirt as she wondered who it was. there were plenty of people who might have been texting but not that early. it was going against her better judgment but she reached for it. she saw pedro's name on the screen and slowly went to open it. her teeth caught onto her lip as she wondered what she should do. her teeth caught onto her lip as she wondered if she should go talk to him. there was the urge to just get back in the bed and hide. she did have a few things to take care of. though it wasn't anything pressing as far as she knew. she kept staring at her phone before realizing how dumb she was being. that was what prompted her to grab the key cards and make her way down to his room. she felt stupid knocking but she wasn't sure what to do. instead of overthinking, she just went to use the key for the door," i was going to text you back and then just found myself here," she admitted," i'm guessing your sister told you i called her?"
Sitting on the bed, as he left her in the living area alone he heard everything that she had said as he walked away from her. He felt like an asshole for leaving her talking to herself, but she wanted the space and that's what he was giving her. He didn't want them to go into circles about what he did to fuck this up, and he would lay in bed thinking about how he managed to do this. The constant replay of her saying "I'm acting like you did something wrong —" as much as he wanted to shake that from his mind, he couldn't.
The rest of the night was uneventful and it certainly wasn't how he imagined how things would go. All he did was say goodbye to his dad, as he went back to the states to be with Javiera and her family. Of course, he asked Sabrina and he simply lied saying that she was busy getting ready for her next few shows in town, and his dad had told him to give her his regards and that he had enjoyed his time with her. It pained him knowing that despite him opening himself up the way he did to Sabrina, it wasn't enough. He had ghosts in his closet, but he wasn't fully prepared to unleash that to her. She didn't deserve to hear about all the sadness he had already gone through in life — he preferred keeping that in the past, and to himself.
It was five In the morning when he woke up the following day — a day full of training at the gym was what he had in store for him. Maybe it was good that, that was all he was doing. He'd let out steam and not fully have to commit to playing a character for hours. Just as he was getting back to his hotel and into the elevator, that's when his phone began to vibrate — there was a sense of hope in him that it would be Sabrina, but much to his surprise it was Lux. The call ended up just being her yelling at him and telling him to get it together — she even went far enough to say that she told Sabrina about their mom, and that's when he felt like someone had punched right in the stomach. All of the air somehow seemed to disappear.
Pulling out his key for the room, he tapped it on the door and walked in. Shutting the door behind him, and leaning against the door. Tilting his head up he knew what he had to do, but it still wasn't easy. The last thing he wanted was to dump all of this on Sabrina, but he had no choice at this point. If she would talk to him? He didn't know, but he figured he might as well try and reach out. Pulling out his phone, he unlocked it and went straight to his imessages and found Sabrina's name. Typing out, "I'm really sorry about yesterday. I love you, and I'd really love for us to talk before you have to leave for work." and he hit send.

"i thought you already knew that you needed to be open with me," she told him, feeling like they were going in circles. she knew that he hadn't been involved in a relationship in a long time. maybe he was out of practice or maybe he didn't see himself as worth it. she wasn't sure what she was supposed to do or how she was supposed to do this. everything felt like it was exploding and it wasn't what she had thought would happen on her latest trip to see him. relationships weren't easy and she knew that. she also knew that she didn't want to keep feeling like she was caught in a vicious cycle. it was something that she wished they could figure out. her eyes narrowed a bit," i'm acting like you did something wrong! i'm not acting like you cheated." she knew that pedro wouldn't cheat but she felt like something was broken. she understood that pedro was someone who didn't let people in easily. she was an open book to a point but with pedro? that was something that she had leaned into fully. she had no idea why pedro couldn't seem to do the same thing with her. though she was starting to think that he might not be able to be. "i can't help but think you wouldn't have told me if i hadn't been told by someone else," she told him, knowing she was going to be honest. it was clear that they were going to be going in circles. he could keep apologizing and she wasn't ready to hear it. she was surprised that he was actually giving her space. she didn't know what to do or say even though he was giving her what she wanted. she found herself leaning against the wall for a few seconds. her head shook as she forced herself to turn and walk out the door. her free hand reached for her cell phone as she walked towards the elevator. her mind was racing as she thumbed through her contacts till she landed on the name, lux pascal. his sister had told her to call at anytime and she hadn't taken her up on it. though the blonde found herself going to hit the call button. she cradled the phone between her head and shoulder as she pressed the button for the floor above his. a sniffle escaped as she realized that lux had picked up," i'm sorry to bother y-you but can you talk?"
"So, I broke your trust...I get that. I should have been more open, I know this too." And he did, he was suffering the consequences of not being one hundred percent open with her, and this wasn't something that he thought would ever get him trouble, but that was proving to be wrong in that moment. He was at a loss for words because he didn't know what to say or do to make her feel better about the situation. There was no blame to be put on anyone else but himself, and he felt like absolutely shit. Brows raised up as he tried to gather his thoughts and his sense again, but he couldn't help but clear his throat as he tried to fight back tears. In that moment, all he could think about was how pathetic he was for feeling this wave of sadness over something he created.
"I know that it's not okay that I just brushed your worries to the side, but you're acting like I went and had sex with her while we were together. I would never do that to you." Pedro could be many things, but a cheater was not one of them. Closed off he was, and he was learning how to let someone in after all these years of being closed off to anyone that wasn't his family. While he had a fling with Dakota during filming, he didn't fully open himself up to her like he was with Sabrina. Becoming an open book was work for him, and he tried every day to be better at it, especially for her and he was clearly taking a little too long.
"Friends with benefits, whatever the fuck you want to call it...I know it's not the brightest ideas once can come up with these days. This all happened a year ago, Sabrina. Again, I know I fucked up and I should have told you about this sooner and I'm sorry, so sorry that I didn't." He didn't want to sound like a broken record, but at this point he truly felt lost and like he had lost the most precious thing in his life. Pushing himself away from the island, he turned around to look at her, facial expression straight, "I don't know...I don't. But you clearly need space, so go. I won't make you stand here and continue to argue with me...." running his tongue along his upper teeth, he looked away from her and began to walk to the room, closing the door half-way. He figured if he walked away, she'd just go instead of having to deal with him — was it a smart move? He didn't know, but it felt like it was at that moment.

sabrina had been wanting to avoid what was happening. she had wanted time to collect herself and cool off. that was why she had even gotten herself a room. she had wanted to avoid just blurting out everything that she was thinking and feeling. he probably was going into a full on panic. she had thought that he'd be honest with her and instead he had only reassured her that he was merely friends with dakota. it made her feel foolish but he clearly hadn't thought about the impact he would have on her. "you really think that trust is something i can do with you, right now?" she asked, wondering if he didn't realize how poorly he had chosen his words. she wasn't sure why she was even still standing there. all she would have to do was leave and go up to her room. instead she was staring at him as he continued to speak," you haven't lied? no you've held things back, you've brushed my worries aside and i don't understand how you think it's okay, i know we've both done work but right now, it doesn't feel that way." she didn't stop herself from rolling her eyes," she's nothing but a friend? sex between friends? really? because that's never a bad idea." she knew that she had made that mistake in the past and she had told pedro about that. her gaze went towards him as he remained in the kitchen. there wasn't a ton of distance between them but it felt like the grand canyon. she took a deep breath, staring at him," i never said that i don't want to be with you but i just need some time." she wanted to process but she wasn't sure how to make it happen," how in the world could i forgot about you? forget about us? i don't-i can't do that even if i'd like to think that i could, i can't just move on from you or let you go."
Maybe him wanting to keep his life private was coming to bite him right on the ass, as she began yelling at him again. Talking about how he kept something from her — she was correct, he did keep that from her, but she also didn't straight out ask him if he had a past with Dakota, but he should have known better and been truthful from the very beginning. Pedro was well aware that he might have fucked this up, whether they were going to make it out of this? He didn't know, but he was hopeful that they would and he'd do anything to make it up to her.
"I know that you've told me about your past and it's been something we've been getting at little by little, which I'm grateful for, trust me." Looking away, Pedro didn't know if he should walk closer towards her or keep their distance, instead he just shifted his weight from one leg to the other and his eyes looked everywhere except at her. He couldn't bare looking at her, and seeing the disappointment written all over her face. "I've never once lied to you, Sabrina. I've open myself up to you in ways that I haven't done ever and that was work for me, but I did it because I love you. You were upset with me during the promo because of how touchy feely we were, and I told you the truth that there was nothing to worry about because I don't feel anything for her...." his words trailed off as he began to walk towards the kitchen, putting both hands on the island he leaned forward a bit.
"She's nothing but a friend to me. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you we had sex prior to us meeting. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you all about my past, and I can't say or do anything to change that, I know and I'm so fucking sorry. If you don't want to see me anymore after this, then fine. I'll respect it. I won't force you stay with me just because I want you to. If you want to go and forget about this, about us, then fine. It's going to hurt me like hell, but all I want is for you to be happy. I just...I just don't know what to do. You're mad and I get it." As he spoke out every word, every sentence it pained him more than he thought it would, and it was clear to him that he loved her. And because of that, he would respect whatever she wanted. Pedro knew that he had fucked up and possibly ruined the best thing he ever had.

sabrina knew that she was possibly pushing all the right buttons. it hadn't been hard for her to figure out what got to him. that was why she knew that by saying the things she was, he might back off. it was wrong and it was likely she'd feel bad about it later. that would come after she got over her anger. otherwise she knew that she wouldn't have even said any of what she had. she wasn't sure what was going to happen the next day or the day after. all that she knew was that her mind was all over the place. "i don't know when i'll be ready to talk," she admitted, knowing how that wouldn't help anything. she didn't know if she'd reach out to him again after she left. it was likely she'd do quite a bit of overthinking since it was a talent of hers. she knew that he wanted to talk everything out and get the issue resolved. she was normally okay with that but not right then. not when her anger just felt like it wasn't going to go away. she kept her grip on the handle of her make up bag as if her life depended on it. there was an expectant look in her eyes as he seemed shocked. she had the feeling that he didn't know how to react. her eye brows arched up as he opened his mouth to speak. no words came out and she couldn't even imagine what he was going to say would make it any better," not important? you kept something from me!" she was unable to stop herself from shaking her head at him," how am i supposed to believe anything right now?" her hand reached to push her hair away from her face," i've told you about my past! i've been an open book with you and i thought you'd be the same with me! you don't want me to shut you out and i'm not even sure that you ever let me all the way in!"
When she yelled at him about repeating this all over again, that stung a bit but it wasn't until she said she wanted space from him that really struck him like lightening. His emotions haywire and he was trying to control his anger and the wave of sadness that came over him with those simple words that came from her. Had he really smothered her to the point that she needed to get away from him and not want to talk things out? And if he did, why didn't she say something sooner? That's when it clicked in his head that maybe asking her to come out to him all the time was too much. Taking his glasses off his face, he hung them on his t-shirt as he kept his gaze down on the floor. He couldn't bare looking back up at her. "Okay, you want space from me, fine. Just go and I guess reach out when you're ready to talk." It almost felt like he was letting her go for into the abyss and not knowing what was going to happen after this. Was she going to reach out or was she absolutely fed up with him? The constant unknown during situations like this drove him insane, and that was why he asked her to talk to him. He didn't like being shut out, but it was becoming a constant with her and he didn't know how much of it he could take. Raising one of his hands up to his face, he placed it over his mouth and fan it down towards his neck in frustration.
Pedro looked up at the blonde, shocked at the new revelation that she was knew about his past with Dakota. His mouth opened in attempt to say something, anything but nothing came out because how did he explain this to her? How could he tell her that what happened with Dakota meant nothing. Closing his eyes as he took in a deep breath, he let it out slowly and opened his eyes again, "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about that...I just, I just didn't think it was of importance. It's a thing of the past, amor. Please...please don't go." He tried to reason this out with her, but he didn't know if it would work. "When I told you not to worry about her, I meant it. I love you...only you."

sabrina should have realized that pedro would realize something was off. especially since they had formed a routine since they had been together. she had hoped that he would just chalk it up to her being busy or just not notice. though she had quickly realized that he was someone who noticed practically everything. she knew that she could have tried to play it off as if it was nothing. she could have acted like everything was fine but she wasn't going to do that. she was someone who spoke her mind and that didn't always work out well for her. "i'm leaving because i feel like being alone," she told him, making herself move to slip past him. she doubted that he would ever actually physically stop her. it wasn't a shock that he was following her. though she froze when he actually rose his voice,"here we go again! can't you just realize i need space? that's all that i need right now! some time and space away from you!" maybe it was mean but she wasn't trying to make things easier for him. especially when he seemed to think that what he was doing was going to make her answer him. she crossed the room so that she was near the door. though she turned as she realized that he had stopped moving. her heart was racing as she forced herself to meet his gaze," it's not what you did, it's who! i told you how i didn't love how you acted in interviews and one little chat with dakota lets me know i wasn't just seeing things! you slept with her!" she really didn't want to be behaving the way that she was but she wasn't going to let him think that he was the one who was hurt," so if i want to fucking shut you out, i'm allowed! you're lucky i have to be back here so soon or i'd be on my way to the airport!"
Pedro went about his day as normal, he had left Sabrina sleeping in their bed when he left for the morning and he continued every hour and minute until he was back in the hotel room. What he didn't expect was for another fight to brew between the them, and that's why when he walked into this suite he was shocked not to find her there waiting for him like she had been the last couple of days. He also noticed how she didn't even bother to blow up his phone with texts while he was away, which was something he looked forward to when they were apart. At first he just chalked it up to her being busy or doing some shopping. When he walked into the bedroom, his brows cinched at the tone she had taken with him and how she was practically rushing to get out of there and away from him. What could have happened now? And while he was filming at that. "What's going on? Why are you leaving?" He asked almost panicked, as he followed her out of the room and into living area. "What did I do know?!" The volume of his voice rising just a bit, it was something that he couldn't really control at that very moment. He was genuinely confused, and he wanted answers.
"Before you walk out of that door and shut me out yet again. The least you can fucking do is tell me what I did now and why you're leaving like this...without talking to me, damn it!" Pedro really tried to calm himself, as he took in a few deep breathes in and exhaling slowly both of his hands were on either side of his hips. His facial expression fully giving away that he was frustrated and confused all at the same time.

sabrina wasn't entirely sure what she was doing or even feeling. though she knew that she couldn't go back to the states. she was due back in london for two shows in a little over a week. the idea of having to go through jet lag again wasn't enticing. she could text any one of her friends that had a home in the city. instead she found herself down at the front desk. it was a relief that there weren't a ton of people around as she asked for a room. price wasn't an issue and she just wanted somewhere to be alone. she was relieved when they had one available and it was even better that it was on a different floor. they offered to get someone to help with her luggage but she said that it was fine. that was how she found herself dragging her suitcase into her new suite. she was glancing around in hopes of figuring out if she had everything. it seemed that she had forgotten her make up bag and she knew that she could forget it. though she didn't want to have to replace every single product. she rolled her eyes before glancing at her phone. she had no idea what time pedro was due to be back but she hoped he would be busy. she rolled her eyes but made her way back to the elevator. her foot tapping impatiently until she reached the floor. she hated that she felt like she was sneaking around but she used the key to get into the room. there was no noise and she was relieved. the blonde walked over to the bathroom, groaning. her make up bag was on the counter but she had left everything scattered. she went to begin to shove everything into it. she was shoving her facial cleanser into her bag when she heard the door opening and closing. a sigh came from her as she went to zip it shut and heaved it off the counter. the light was flipped off and she stepped back out into the bedroom," i don't want to answer any questions and i don't want you to give me that look that gets you your way, i'm staying somewhere else tonight." @pedrcpasccl
