some nice, happy anime recommendations!

these anime i find to all be pretty tame, without any fighting, gore, scary scenes, etc. but please make sure to look into them before viewing if there are some specific things that trigger you!

note: this is not one of those lists that secretly has a super messed up anime in it, if you are nervous though, feel free to do research on them all!

1. Laid-Back Camp

“Set in and around Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, the series chronicles the adventures of Rin Shima, Nadeshiko Kagamihara, and their friends as they travel to various campsites across the country. “

2. K-On!

“K-ON is about 5 high school girls who become friends through the Light Music Club. Yui the lead guitarist, Tsumugi the keyboardist, Mio the bassist, Azusa the rhythm guitarist, and Ritsu the drummer. K-ON is the story of 5 aspiring musicians and their journey through high school together.”

3. Asobi Asobase

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ANIME, ITS SERIOUSLY FUNNY!)

“The story revolves around three classmates who play simple hand games. One of the girls is good at games, but hates them as she always lost to her older sister and forced to do chores while growing up. Another girl is of American descent, but raised in Japan, and who only pretends to be bad at Japanese.“

4. Uma Musume Pretty Derby

(couldnt find the same type of image as the others, sorry!)

“In a world very much like our own, great race horses of the past have a chance to be reborn as “horse girls” – girls with the ears and tails of horses as well as their speed and endurance. The best of these horse girls go to train at Tokyo's Tracen Academy, hopefully moving on to fame and fortune as both racers and idols. “

5. Cardcaptor Sakura

“The story centers on Sakura Kinomoto, an elementary school student who discovers magical powers after accidentally freeing a set of magical cards into the world; she must retrieve the cards to prevent catastrophe.“

6. Himouto! Umaru-chan

“Umaru Doma is a high school girl who lives with her older brother Taihei. At school, Umaru appears to be the ideal student with good looks, top grades and many talents. However, she transforms into a kid-sized layabout and spends time at home feeding her video game and food addiction, much to Taihei's dismay.“

7. Snow White with the Red Hair

(if i remember correctly, this anime does have a bit of violence, but i dont think its anything major. be careful though!)

“Shirayuki is a headstrong young pharmacist with a shock of beautiful apple-red hair. When her mane gets her noticed by a prince who demands she be his concubine, she runs away to a neighboring kingdom, where she befriends a handsome stranger.”
