This parallel between how Max and El snap out of Vecna's hold suggests an El/Max happy ending

In s4e4, when Vecna was about to kill Max, she thought of a flurry of memories with Lucas and her friends. Of course, Lucas is prominent in these flashbacks. But the LAST memory Max thinks of is being friends with El:

This parallels El's own struggle in s4e9, getting out of an identical "Vecna pillar": after she hears Mike monologue for two minutes (and not recalling any memories of Mike... the one flashback we see is from Mike's POV), she sees Max is about to die.

Then, when she revives Max, she has MANY memories of her friendship with Max:

This symmetry seems deliberate. It shows the power of FEMALE FRIENDSHIP, and particularly their friendship. It not only suggests that El's future isn't in a romantic relationship with Mike; this also could be foreshadowing of the happy ending I predict for them in my recent "Who will die" video, where El and Max survive Season 5, El loses her powers and gets to live a normal life, and they get to live their lives as best friends.

Now will it be platonic? =D I'm guessing that Lumax is endgame, but also that Elmax shippers will have a canon relationship that is very shipping-friendly! =D

I think there’s going to be a parallel between Lumax’s relationship in season 4 with Byler in season 5.

I don’t necessarily want to bring up leakers, but i have seen some people talking about the dynamics that Mike and Will are going to have this season. Lots of people are speculating that Will is going to be distancing himself from Mike slightly (not a whole lot but enough for him to notice) And its going to be a lot of Mike being very protective over Will.

Obviously, I have no idea whats gonna happen, but i do kind of expect some kind of scene where Mike is just begging Will to talk to him about whats going on. And obviously if Vecna is using Mike’s likeness and voice to torture Will, he might be a little hesitant to talk about it. Or even if its some deeply traumatic shit with his past, like his dad or the upside down. Will is the king of not being vulnerable with people.

I do think they’ll get over this because we hate miscommunication, but i do think that this situation creates a great opportunity for Will and Lucas to talk. Because, Lucas has been in Mike’s shoes. He’s been the one left in the dark until its too late. And, i can totally see him sitting down with Will and telling him that he can’t keep pretending that he’s alone in this. Because, whether he likes it or not there are people who love him and care about him; and if something happens to him that they all could’ve worked together to avoid, its not only just going to affect Will. It’ll affect everyone.

I can also definitely see Will breaking down and saying “I can’t talk to Mike about it.” And when Lucas offers to listen, it turns into a really sweet and touching coming out scene, possibly the first person Will comes out to.
