A surge of annoyance  – of fear,  of sadness  –  ran through him when Andrea said that there was nothing they could do.  Daryl didn’t want to think about what would happen if it was Merle who got bit  –   if he lost Merle.  They had relied on each other their whole lives.  He  wouldn’t   think about it.  But Merle was an easy target in a different way than Amy was.  Merle was too full of himself,  over confident,  LOUD,   reckless.  That was just as dangerous as being defenseless.

❝It ain’t gonna come to that.❞  He had absolutely no way of knowing that,  but he preferred to stay hopeful.  Despite the nagging sound of Merle’s voice in his head,  even when he wasn’t around,  telling him to grow up.

         andrea envied the fact he was so hopeful, that in his mind he knew no harm would come to their siblings. she wasn’t like that, she always saw the negative in everything. it’s what she expected these days. it had only been a few weeks & she’d witnessed numerous deaths, people being torn apart in front of her. even she knew it was due time until it happened to one of them. still, she allowed him to have his hope, she wouldn’t ruin that for him, it wouldn’t be right. not when he was being kind, doing his best to make her feel comfortable.  ❝ —- i appreciate that, daryl. i really do... ❞  a half-hearted smile, it was all she could force upon her face. she just couldn’t wrap her head around how the world had come to this.

         she cleared her throat & reached out to the clothes she had been rinsing in the lake. they all had their jobs to do, being a human washing machine was hers. anything to keep herself busy. the lake was nice too, something beautiful to look at as she worked away. she enjoyed the feeling of the water rushing up against her feet, it reminded her of better days. days when her father would take her & her sister out on fishing trips.   ❝ you wanna sit for a while? ❞ she thought that maybe he could do with the peace & quiet, perhaps he needed to clear his head.

he had had     enough problems     in recent weeks , enough of his men had DIED because people wanted to keep poking the ever lasting SHIT out of the fucking bear and his patience     to deal with     it without going fucking CRAZY  was waning . the dumb ass move     this blonde     thought would work only PISSED  him off even more , but he was so     reasonable     he had not yet killed her . ❛ he could be talkin’ about your god damn MOTHER  but the one thing you DO NOT  do is pull a gun on one of my men . ❜ already     his mind     is RUNNING  through punishments for breaking the     fucking rules     .. lucille ? god , she was just not THIRSTY  today .. each fuckerthere was lucky as shit . he was giving her one CHANCE  , one chance     to understand     who the fuck really was in CHARGE  , otherwise .. it     wouldn’t be her     paying or her mistakes , not DIRECTLY  at least .

         a part of her knew she needed to fear him, she just couldn’t force herself to. she’d lived in fear for so long now that she’d grown accustomed to it. if negan was going to kill her, he was going to kill her -- there was no point in her living the rest of her days in fear, shuddering every time he brought his bat along with him. she thought of fighting back with words, snapping back at his remark on glenn, but it was no use. she was no good dead, there was still a lot more she had to do.     ❝ —- you’re right, it was stupid of me. ❞ she hated admitting to it, allowing him to have the satisfaction.  ❝ so, who do i write my apology letter to?  ❞ she held back the cheeky smirk that wanted to cross her lips, now was not the time. perhaps she should just walk away, keep her mouth shut. the problem with andrea was that she always had something to say, no matter who it was she was saying it to.
