why are fictional vehicles that never have or will exist always linked to real car brands and why is it always brought up

its a real nitpick of mine when in a movie the main/side character goes "oh look at this flying car that uses big propellers to fly that were gonna act will ever be made or will work in real life!!! look at it its a honda!!! honda mass produces these!!!" like what???

who thought it was a good idea to say that the dime (10x more worth than a penny) would be smaller than a penny???? and why is our half dollar bigger than the dollar

like i dont get why we didnt just sort it by size - biggest coin is worth the most and smallest is worth the least its that simple

did the guy who decided that we would use imperial while everyone else uses metric do this too
