The very first chapter. Like literally within the first twenty pages. This man settles a little disagreement between Fred 104 and a Chief. It wasn’t even an argument yet. And he’s so proud of himself. He’s so proud that he managed that. He’s so proud in fact that he goes “You know what? Maybe when I retire I’ll transfer to the diplomatic corps and negotiate peace treaties.” You know what that’s like? That’s like me successfully changing my car’s tire and then going “Damn, I should just go and sign on to a company as a lead engineer I’m so good at this.”
