The Land of Make Believe: The Aftermath
This post is in reference of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. I was going through a Reddit thread that asked the question "Anyone who was a kid guest on Mr. Rogers show, what was it like on the show and did you maintain any values you maintain from Fred?" What I ended up reading was some beautiful stories of people who not only actually met Mr.Rogers working on the show, but even outside of the show. But someone posted something that kinda impacted me a bit. The Reddit user said "We were all guests on his show."
And that hit me hard a bit. I remember being that little kid where all the PBS cartoons were over, that I would watch Mr. Rogers being welcome to the neighborhood. Hearing his stories of how his day was and going to the land of make believe to see what exactly was going on today. I remember feeling that sadness when the show was off hating to say goodbye. I always say that I use to owe alot of my morals to TV shows back in the day like Pokemon and Arthur and the like but I never go back to think how Mr. Rogers influenced me.
And I think that is sad. I think alot of people forget the lessons that was taught by Mr. Rogers that helped us along the way as a child. I think alot of us forgot the Land of Make Believe. Alot of us get caught with fighting. Judging your fellow person. When some of us who grew up on Mr. Rogers know it's the opposite of how we should be. Even I myself got caught up in that in my teenage years. I'll never understand the what or why we became this way. All I know is at the end of the day, We all can use Mr. Rogers in our life now. We all can be the people Mr. Rogers expect us to be.

Crisis on my Infinite Mind
Yeah the title is a reference to Crisis on Infinite Earth. But, honestly I am suffering a crisis. Hell the word suffer is all I've ever known. From a Baby when I was almost sold into the black market. Dealing with the dangerous dealings of being young living with my grandma dealing with her and my mom wanting to fight for ownership. My oldest brother drugs driving him crazy til he committed suicide just to name a few.
The teen years was not helpful in my likings either. All I've ever known is the word fight. But I use to just forget about myself and do what's good. And I am here today honestly because for once I am questioning that. I have friends who go out the way to do things I do not approve of at all. Drugs and alcohol were never my thing cause they cursed my family for as long as I lived. But the thing is I am seeing my friends who do that and I am having a tough time grasping that I'm the one that's wrong.
I see them happy. Carefree. Living life and making moves I can't even make even if I tried. What's really good? What's really bad? Is it because of the horrible childhood I had that I am just not functioning like I should be? I just have alot of questions and not a lot of answers.
I'm always told to live my best life, but when all I have known is darkness what is that best life? I am just not happy in my life. And I know I have to be the one to change it. But I honestly have no direction or no idea how to do it. What do you tell a person when all he's known is pain?
