Hiii, I'm the anon who asked about the Scions! I just used anon cuz I was nervous to strike a chord with asking that question ; w; hahah.

I read your post and I guess I should have been more clear when I said "last expansion" that I meant Endwalker! I guess I didn't wanna spoil anything for your followers, so that's my bad! I agree with you, I don't see any place fitting for a Scion to meet their untimely end in DT. Also YEAH DT should have been split into 2 parts, holy cannoli. Truth be told I haven't even finished DT yet because I got so burnt out after getting to Solution Nine. I did the trial, got to the next area, and haven't progressed MSQ past that for months.

On the topic of the Scions, I agree (once again lol) that sunsetting them to a new group entirely OR fewer of the main group and bringing new people in would be the best idea. Not that I don't also love the Scions! I do!!! BUT seeing some new faces from different races *coughAuRa&Roegadyncough* would be great.

All in all I agree with your takes. And yes, Y'shtola needs a new outfit.

Ah whoops!!! Sorry for me accidentally spoiling you on some of the broad strokes of Dawntrail, hopefully I didn't say anything too specific that undercuts the experience! 😅

I'm glad my points managed to make sense, and even just going off the end of Endwalker, I think that would've been a good time to have a stronger off ramp for the Scions. We got our victory, the long arc started in ARR wrapped up, and everyone gets to go home in one piece; if there was ever a moment to introduce a cast of new faces (and you make a good point about the races), it felt like Dawntrail was it. Now that they've made their narrative choices with the main DT MSQ, it'll be interesting to see where they go.

I would love to get your thoughts if and when you do finish the MSQ, and I won't get into the why of it, but I do think the patches so far have been a great extension of the 7.0 MSQ and have given it some of the breathing room it needed.
