I recently had to solicit donations for my job at a social welfare agency. I hate talking on the phone to the point of developing a phobia about it, especially if I’m asking people for donations or money. Part of the way I was able to get most of the calls done today was by imagining Usagi telling me that she believed in me and would be with me. Because if she and my mom believe in me, there’s nothing I can’t do.

Taiki is awesome, but girl!Taiki is even awesomer. For me, she is the best Starlight. I hate when people say she is ugly just because her hairstyle is not as pretty as Seiya's or Yaten's.

Victim Hotaru

I know that Sailor Saturn is suppose to be so strong, but whenever I see art of Hotaru, she always looks victimized or about to be victimized. It makes me sick and want to call child services

I miss SailorMoonSecrets Radio night! ^^ I know things are probably busy, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I had a lot of fun and miss it.

Aw thank you! Sorry this took me so long to respond to. SMSecrets is obviously in a very, very...very slow time. Maybe one day I'll do a radio night, but I don't see it in the near future =/

I ship Demando and Saffir together, even though they’re brothers, I felt there was a lot of evidence for them in the anime and musicals.

I love the dedication of the animators.  They kept such an amazing continuity about not just locations but even some outfits.  Usagi wears her Usui shirt on more than one occasion.  The radio station where Jadeite sent out the energy sucking flowers is the same radio station where Seiya spoke to Usagi.  It’s the little things like that that I really appreciate.  It just shows how dedicated they all were to Sailor Moon and all it stands for.

new manga release

I don’t go shopping a lot and had asked for the re-released manga for Christmas - as such, I hadn’t been to a book store since early August. My new husband and I went browsing just before Thanksgiving in a Barnes and Noble and when I saw Sailor Moon volume 2 and Code Name Sailor V #2 sitting there on the display table, I started to cry.

I hate, hate, hate how Rei/Mars is always put before Ami/Mercury in intros and songs and whatnot. When introducing the senshi, SailorMoon media usually goes in order of when the senshi showed up—Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus (since she didn’t actually appear in the manga/show until after the others), Uranus/Neptune, Pluto (as an actual character and not just a mysterious guardian), and Saturn. At least half the time, however, Mars will come before Mercury, and it ticks me off.

I get that Rei and Usagi have this deep OMG BFF bond, but Rei wasn’t Usagi’s first senshi friend. Ami may not be as cool as the others or whatever, but she deserves respect as Usagi’s first ally and the only one Usagi had to rely on for a while there. Besides, if anyone deserves to take her spot when introduced, it’s Minako since Venus is the actual leader and SailorMoon’s Number One.

I know it’s stupid to get so riled about something so trivial, but I love Ami and I think she gets a bum rap. She was Usagi’s only senshi friend for at least a few weeks, and she gets so much flak. Can’t she at least have her rightful place in the line-up?

VERY IMPORTANT SMS NEWS

Hi guys,Kitty here.

I just want to let you know a few things.

Sailor Moon Secrets is going on an indefinite hiatus for the following reasons:

Scoob is on a tumblr break. She hasn't really even been around here as of late but now I guess she is taking a break from the entire site.

and unfortunately, I am choosing to leave Sailor Moon Secrets permanently. I no longer enjoy participating within the fandom in this way and am choosing to pursue other projects with my other fandoms.  There have been ups and downs to working on this blog, and I would say I have enjoyed it about 80% of the time. I want to tell you that this was a hard choice for me to make,but I have been feeling like this for a while. I want to thank oyu all for the support and I hope that you continue to do so while Scoob leads this blog in what ever direction she chooses to take it in.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK IF WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW MODS

I am going to leave that decision up to Scoob.

But for now, SMS will be inactive for a while.

A part of me really doesn’t want a redub of the anime…only because I absolutely love the DiC/Pioneer voice actors. Even though I’ve seen all of Sailor Moon subbed with the original Japanese actors, to me, the original English speaking actors are the Sailor Senshi.
