Erm your art is so good and I love your storytelling… a little unrelated but I wanted to ask if you have any advice on how you maintain the rendering of your work when you upload it?

well that's very kind of you to say, thank you for enjoying the stories! i've been a little deflated recently so it means a lot 🖤

hmm... well i'm not too sure, but if it helps at all i tend to work at 300dpi (A4 size at minimum) because i am a super duper messmaker and i like to work at around 25-50% zoom and clean up at 100%. when i resize, i run the piece through a sharpen filter at ~30-50% strength. i save as 800px png for my own website, and high quality ~1500px jpeg for everywhere else. but each app has its sweet spot as far as sizing, and some have settings that need to be toggled for HQ/4k uploads. in-app photo editors always ruin my image quality, every social media platform (except for tumblr?) compresses pngs into jpegs so you may as well save yourself a step, red compresses especially poorly in jpeg format (you won't see that stopping me though)

and... with instagram it seems entirely random whether or not something comes out looking like straight up Dogged Shit 🚬😮‍💨

A short story for adults about a hookup during one night in the autumn. Dan's tentative fun abruptly ends and he's kicked out into the cold of unsettled memories, but soon falls into brotherly lockstep with his new friend Val. trans and butch, erotic and emotional, all comic and illustrated prose woven together.

you gotta get more comfortable being fat and being attracted to fat people. draw fat people ever. fitness as value, thinness as virtue can't end soon enough. the world is full of them and it's fucking crazy to cut so many different, infinite types of people out of your life, your future, your vision. how good is your art if you can't draw some god damned fat people? how good is your writing if fat people don't feature, if you have no idea how to describe them? your work is not brave if you can't depict fat people. bores me to tears. and do not tell me it's hard. you spent your life learning to draw thin people because you like it more. what's hard for you is not drawing/writing fat people, but humanising/valuing them, outside of art. what's hard is living in a world where fat people, regardless of gender, are demeaned and abused from every conceivable angle.

you know how like, how you Feel being trans, how good it feels, how real you feel, is in some part dependent on how others perceive you— like how, for example, sex is grandly improved by being seen and adored for exactly what you are? dignity and respect and interest and lust in equal measure? imagine that but for everyone else too. be even bolder: imagine that some people link fatness and gender together, positively! imagine that some people link even more than that to their gender, to their fatness. imagine what it might be like to be received as a whole person. and honestly if you're trans, gwan be fat. it's good for you.

kamala harris promised to be more harsh on immigration than trump she promised to have the most "lethal" military force in the world (whatever the fuck that means compared to what we already have) she said she had no interest in protecting trans people on a federal level and she spent her last year in office lying to the public about a ceasefire she was not working towards while thousands of men women and children were slaughtered not to mention saying she wouldn't do a single thing differently than biden who not only green lit a genocide but also vastly increased the budgets for both ice and the police all while the democratic party spent months talking about how freedom of speech has become a problem that needs dealing with.. liberals don't have a problem with evil they have a problem with a perceived lack of decorum

my friend Ahmad went to the humanitarian aid distribution area to try and receive some food for his family, only for his brother to be shot by the IOF.

they are responsible for taking care of their whole family and make daily journeys to try securing food and water, which has become nearly impossible. but Ahmad tries every day because he doesn't want them to die of hunger. these are real people who need our help, whether financial or just the emotional support you'd give a friend. our struggle is one. we struggle together. here's my friend before the war and now:

in light of a long line of punitive crackdowns, there's nothing wrong with being a little coy and secretive about what you do. that's self-preservation.
