Who am I?
What are we? Or more aptly put, Who are we? Asians? Nah. When Russians are reluctant to be called North Asians, why should we be regarded as South Asians or simply Asians? Are we Indians? No. Not at all. Or at least, that’s not what ‘Indians’ consider themselves as. We are Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and what not! But no, we aren’t Indians.
Now, Does ‘Indians’ not being ‘Indians’ making any difference? Why does that even matter to us?
Because it’s you who’ll sip on a cup of coffee on a sunday morning reading stories about a riot that turned a thousand people homeless and exclaim, ’Nothing can change this nation!’.
‘What does that even have to do with me being an Indian or not?’
Well, It has a lot to do. When you are just an Indian, and not an Indian, you don’t seem to bother.The reason being, ‘I’m not an Indian, why should India bother me?’
You say that the country can’t change. It can. How? Be an Indian. Being born in India doesn’t make you an Indian. Being brought up here doesn’t do any wonders, too. So, how exactly do you be an Indian?
Be loyal. Be willing to do something. Don’t just sit with hands crossed. Raise them. That’s what they’re meant for. Whenever you can, just stand and inspire. That’s what this country needs to change. It needs inspirations. If you do that, then you’re an Indian...

THE FIGHT WITHIN
'The biggest threat a country faces is the threat within'. November 1st, regarded as 'Karnataka Foundation Day', is celebrated throughout the state with great enthusiasm. On the Maharashtra-border-side though, it's a clash of two communities. The Marathas regard this day as 'Kala Diwas', meaning 'Black Day'. It's quite disturbing that Indians, who make 1/6th of the world's population, are divided into several fractions. There are several such cases throughout the country. The growth of this nation depends on whether the people are fractions or a whole. #UniteForTheGreaterGood #TheIndianist
