But ever since Amaterasu took over and the city went into isolation, the news station became corrupt with withholding the truth, much to Emi’s disdain. Unfortunately, in order to keep her family safe and not lose money, she is forced to be silent and turn the other way with the corruption.

She is a warm-hearted woman who treats everyone with kindness and patience, but can be strict and overprotective in order to keep people safe.

So I have learned today that Makoto’s WDO uniform during the final battle was actually black (and looks to be the exact same as Yuma’s but recolored unfortunately).

So some update designs will include Makoto’s uniform being black instead of the navy blue, and he will still keep his trousers, but are like a certain material that allows him to be flexible like Yuma.

Physical Descriptions to describe Makoto Kagutsuchi in Dual Swords AU:

has a bit more healthier hair, but still very much messy

Wears a long rain cloak much like the one in-game in the Mystery Labyrinth

When he gets the face mask, he puts it on the top side of his head when not wearing it on his face

So I realized something that I’ve decided to use to Yomify Kanai Ward in my Dual Swords AU. And an edit to go with the analysis I made.

From what we can see in the first picture above, the major color of the lights radiating off of Amaterasu HQ, especially the sign, is purple-pink, which matches the color of one of Makoto’s main color scheme. Which symbolizes Makoto in charge of Amaterasu.

So with Yomi now as CEO of Amaterasu, he would no doubt change the lights into red to fit his color scheme and show how he is the one in power of Amaterasu, and bathe all of Kanai Ward in his light.

Twin CEOs AU

Welp, thanks to a friend from the Makoyuma server, the brain rot I had for months now has become a new Makoto and Yuma AU, and that is the Twin CEOs AU where, you guess it, Makoto and Yuma are both the CEOs of Amaterasu. Mainly because I want to create an anti-villain/villain duo of Yuma and Makoto with a side of fluff, angst, found family, and redemption arc.

Premise: After Yuma was orphaned at a young age, the UG Research Facility took him in to use as a blueprint to create their Perfect Homunculus, and succeed in doing so. However, the Perfect Homunculus, naming himself Makoto, escapes the Lab and takes Yuma with him to Kanai Ward. Where they would both save the Homunculi and become the CEOs of Amaterasu to protect Kanai Ward, the Homunculi citizens, and each other.

At any costs.

A man who desires order and laws to be instated to the city. Formerly a police chief from a village in the Outskirts of Kanai Ward, he moved into the big city and joined the Peacekeepers to continue his diligent work. Unlike the rest of the Peacekeepers, he is actually a fair man who wants to protect the city, but he believes you need to follow the rules in a city like Kanai Ward to find said peace.

Death Detective AU The former Police Chief of Yuma’s home village. He used to work with Yuma’s mom as her boss until her passing and he moved to Kanai Ward to work as a Section Chief. Strict and vigilant, he works to maintain order to the city, especially as crime has risen.

He and Yuma had had encounters in the past and are on rocky relationship since Sosuke joined the Peacekeepers.

Okay this is just more an adorable thought basing off the timeline we’ve had in Rain Code, but imagine if Yuma discovered his love for detective novels because Yakou let him read some of the ones he had in his sub the first night Yuma came.

Unnamed Ghost Hunter Agency AU

Based on Lockwood & Co (Spoilers for some plot elements)

Fifty years ago, the world became infested by ghosts and demons that would haunt the entire world and bring harm and even death to the living, leaving everyone trapped in fears. At the same time, a small percentage of people were granted paranormal power of the spirits and psychic, allowing them to interact with the ghosts and send them back to the spirit realm. An organization is formed called the World Ghost Hunter Organization (not creative I know) to train people with even the simplest psychic power in seeing the spirit realm into Ghost Hunters and defeat the ghosts and hopefully one day free the world from the spirits.

In the present day, a young man named Yuma Kokohead, a former Ghost Hunter from the WGHO, is heading into Kanai Ward, one of the most haunted cities, if not areas, in the world, to the point it had to be isolated from the rest of the world. But there are rumors that because of having to rely on themselves, the city’s population, especially Amaterasu Corporation, developed and discovered ways to handle the ghosts. Eventually becoming a source of resources for the world to handle ghosts. Yuma is traveling over to the city in the hope he could find a way to heal his twin brother from a ghost-lock. But he needs to be able to sustain himself while staying in the city, and unfortunately can’t get a job because he is an outsider to the city. Luckily, he finds one through an independent ghost hunting agency called the Nocturnal Ghost Hunting Agency, run by Chief Yakou and misfit members of the WGHO, and now must bring back his ghost hunting skills to help protect Kanai Ward from the ghosts while finding a way to save Makoto (and uncover the dark secrets of Kanai Ward along the way).

So I watched a YouTube video review about a show called Lockwood & Co, and after having watched the first two episodes, I can safely this show pretty much has the elements where the Rain Code characters and world can just fit into the show itself.

Spoilers for Lockwood & Co if people want to avoid spoilers until they watched the show (since that’s the only source I used).

A main character with family issues and wanting to prove their values and worth? Yuma in a nutshell, both canon and fanon-wise.

An agency that is considered unofficial and their members outcasts and misfits? Sounds like the Nocturnal Detective Agency.

A turning point event where a main character survives a massacre and is blamed for the event because of a traitor amongst the organization? Who doesn’t think this reminds you of Chapter 0 the Amaterasu Express Massacre?

The main setting being London itself? Like the city that was one of the main inspirations for Kanai Ward?

A world of supernaturals and ghosts with special people (kids) that can see them? That’s basically the world-build premise of Master Detective Archives with the supernaturals and ghosts.

I haven’t watched the rest of the show (and it’ll take a long time to finish it; I’m busy at the moment—also the show has been canceled), but there is just enough elements where I, or any Rain Code fans who have the time to watch the show in its entirety (or read the book series from what I’ve heard the show is based on), could make an AU out of it. Which I have by the way ;) I’ll make a post about it sometimes later this week or month.

Peacekeeper Yuma AU

So I’m going to make an official AU post on Peacekeeper Yuma so people can ask me questions and see the official premise I got now.

In one universe, Number One was able to sneak into Kanai Ward and trick everyone, including himself, into believing he is the trainee Yuma Kokohead. In another universe, that plan falls apart and the amnesiac is left wondering who he is and what is the God of Death’s deal (who is just as freaked out that her Master’s plan has fallen apart). The Peacekeepers take advantage of his amnesiac state and his mysterious power of death to make him a powerful Peacekeeper (under Yomi’s thumb) that executes the culprits of many mysteries.

Now Yuma is left in the hands of the Peacekeepers, Makoto and Shinigami needs to figure out how to get the plans back into place, and the Nocturnal Detective Agency are wondering why does ‘Number One’ care so much about this imposter?

Sigh, yes, I have updated Death Detective AU again. At this point, it’s probably to be expected when it comes to brainstorming AUs like this. This has been the most complicated AU I had to brainstorm over because I am changing not only the lore, but there were just so many concepts I thought I could work with together but it’s just not meant to be.

Because I realized that the Peacekeeper storyline wouldn’t have worked with the backstory I came up with for Death Detective Yuma, and decided that him becoming a vigilante would fit better for the AU. But don’t worry, I am not abandoning the Peacekeeper!Yuma idea! I am just gonna make a separate post so you guys can ask me questions about it whenever you want on this blog.

To clarify, the posts will stay where they are for anybody who wants to use them for their own fics (with credits of course).
