Tanjiro x Reader Park Date Headcanons

So, you can’t tell me Tanjiro wouldn’t spend at least a day checking nearby parks himself to see which ones are especially lovely.

He’d find one with a grove of cherry trees and oh, he’s decided.

This boy is so excited to take you there, he’s basically bouncing on his heels the day you’re supposed to return from your mission.

When you do get back, he’s so happy to see you.

“I know you’re probably tired, but I have a relaxing date idea, if you’re up for it..?”

And off you go!

The two of you are hand in hand as you walk amongst the beautiful nature.

He’s really only admiring you, though.

Come on! To the sunshine boy, you’re far more beautiful than any scenery.

Elderly ladies taking strolls would likely comment on the two of you, leading to a few blushes from you two.

This boy would absolutely surprise you with a picnic, too.

Where did he even pull that picnic basket and blanket from..?

That’s when he takes you to the grove of cherry trees, insisting you let him set up the entire picnic while you rest on the blanket he brought.

We all know Tanjiro is probably a good cook. The food he made for you both is just amazing.

Compliment! His! Cooking!

He’ll get so flustered, insisting it isn’t that good, but he’s really happy he made you so happy with it.

You relax together with your head laid on his lap, pointing out shapes between the branches and petals of the trees above.

He probably leans down to kiss your forehead and nose a few times when he’s able, too.

It’s a day full of fun, relaxation, and smiles, and you two manage to forget all the worries in the world.
