1. Lee is probably the reason Metal is such a Kazekage fanboy HAHAHA Lee always speaks very highly of Gaara but he himself is too modest to actively boast about being good friends with the Kazekage.

2. Admittedly, Metal has heard from Lee that they knew each other quite well…but he honestly had a little difficult time believing it. With Gaara always in and out of Konoha usually for Kage business, there was little opportunity for them to hang out much. They do exchange letters now and then, though, so they know of each other’s children
