Hirano & Kagiura‘s MBTI

I was a little curious about the Personality type of Hirano and Kagiura!

I‘ve read a book about cognitive function and physiology facts about people’s personality a few weeks ago SOO i’ve just thought:

„why not look up Hirakagi‘s personality?“

I will be explaining everything very well and detailed so it’s easy to understand 😇 I colored the MBTI tho (if people are impatient).

Let’s start with basic information (for those who don’t know cognitive Functions)

Cognitive functions are referring to the mental processes our brains use to acquire knowledge, process information, make decisions, and interact with the world.

There are 8 functions: Extraverted & Introverted Thinking, Extroverted & Introverted Feeling, Extraverted & Introverted Sensing and Extraverted & Introverted Intuition which are organized into 4 pairs (each pair oriented of the external world [extraverted] and internal world [introverted])

Okay! Let’s start with Hirano’s personality type! 😁💛

— Dominant Function: (Te) Extraverted Thinking aka someone who focuses on the external world logically and efficiently through facts, planning & structure and goal oriented acts.

(Example: He participates in a a group project and makes sure the team hits deadline)

— Auxiliary Function: (Ni) Introverted Intuition aka someone who focuses on Internal patterns, insights, and future possibilities. Connecting ideas beneath the surface and understanding the long term consequences.

(Example: Predicting the outcome of a decision before acting)

— Tertiary Function: (Se) Extraverted Sensing. The Focus on Awareness of the present moment and reality. Sometimes less mature as they seem but develops over time.

(Example: Enjoying physical activities like playing basketball w Kagi or noticing his surroundings and the opportunities in real life)

— Inferior Function: (Fi) Introverted Feeling, someone who focuses on personal values and boundaries. Finding outcomes that sometimes speaks against their own personal beliefs or ethics.

(Example: Quietly reflecting on whether an action aligns with personal values, even if it's not practical.)

The result of those Functions would make the personality type ENTJ (Commander). Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging (organized)

ENTJ may look "rude" at first side, but they are good at leading and helping people. Organized and disciplined. And soft for people they like.

Hirano is extroverted, he may be a bit grumpy, but he has no problems in social norms! Actually he likes it being around people. Some would say now he’s Sensing instead of Intuitive but that’s exactly it, Hirano TRIES to explain things through details and facts but that’s not working so he’s just trusting his guts now 😂. I don’t have to explain thinker… He researched the term liking… he thought there’s a contract for dating… A person who thinks all the time. And For Judging, he’s a really organized person. Yea. (there’s no explanation needed in that one too…)

Now let’s analyse Kagiura‘s Personality type! 💚😋

— Dominant Function: (Si) Introverted Sensing aka someone who focuses on past experiences and internal memories. He relies on things that have worked before and pays attention to traditions (like marriage).

(Example: Remembering his last match to make his current decision more accurate)

— Auxiliary Function: (Fe) Extraverted Feeling. The Focus lies on harmonizing with others. He picks up on their moods, needs and dynamics and makes decisions that mantain positive relationships.

(Example: He senses Hirano‘s [or any person actually] discomfort and adjusts his behavior to make them feel at their ease.)

— Tertiary Function: (Ti) Introverted Thinking aka analyzing and understanding principles through evaluating ideas objectively (like when he plays basketball).

(Example: Finding a way to solve a problem or organize a task even more efficient [like the we play a round basketball and then we‘ll learn])

— Inferior Function: (Ne) Extraverted Intuition as for exploring possibilities or future potential. Someone who "looks" for what could be but can feel pressured or uncomfortable.

(Example: He considers new ways to approach a ‚problem‘ or situation in general)

The result of those Functions would make the personality type ISFJ (Defender). Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging (Organized)

ISFJ‘s are caring and loving. Sweet and detailed oriented. But also insecure about some things.

Kagiura is a ray of sunshine that for sure. But my boy IS introverted.. He doesn’t hang around with other people (other than Niibashi, Hirano and sometimes his teammates). He likes to have his few friends and that’s it. He’s a person of facts, before even knowing if he likes Hirano in that way he was down on the ground of marrying this boy. For him details are important, especially in basketball. And for Feeling… well… he’s extremely… feeling (i don’t think we need an explanation do we?). For the Judging factor, Kagi is extremely disciplined and professional when it comes to success (Basketball, staying w Hirano ect.)

ENTJ and ISFJ are computable for each other. Even if there can be potential conflicts like the bluntness of ENTJ or the sensitivity of ISFJ they balance each other out building a strong team! (Fits to them doesn’t it?)

Hirano to Kagiura chapter 32

Hello everyoooooone! 😆

I am on vacation since two weeks and I’ll be here for another two weeks so my actual plan was like:

„no posting & no social media“

But Hirakagi chapter 32 dropped and here we are now…!

I won’t be posting any panels as long as the official digital version dropped so I’ll just talk about how diabetically cute (idk if this is a word but it’s exactly hrkg ch 32) this chapter was.

(For those who don’t want to get spoiled until the english tl drops, here’s the spoiler warning!)

The first pages with Kagiura‘s perspective was extremely cute.. my shayla…

The way he was thinking about yesterday and how he wasn’t sure if hirano now confessed or not was so funny and sweet.

The point where he was like „Are we dating now?!?“ and started blushing in shock and hope was the end for my heart 😭💚

Hirano‘s part was more funny than cute tho. (but he was SO DAMN SWEET too)

The way he looked ANGRY thinking about wether they are dating or not had me on the floor 😂 My boy is something else… I love him…

But right after that he was blushing and thinking about yesterday too, a little bashful and embarrassed, but he wants something that matches with the needs of Kagiura

(Hirano we know you love him go get yo booooy)

The funniest part was the way he wasn’t sure if they are together now and he thought „There’s no contract or somethin'“ I was lmao 😂 This boy is so DENSE it’s crazy… he’s so silly 😭💛

The end was just perfect, the way they were both thinking about each other… and about if they are dating or not…

So that’s my first reaction to the chapter! I’ll post another one when the chap drops (with the panels and everything)

I personally think the next chapter will be very sweet and shy. Both not confident enough to ask each other out but both also very curious about what they are now 💚💛

An idea persists in my mind of a universe where Kagiura's world is one that exists in silence, not the bright and beautiful color that it once was, in which he, too, loses sight of the color blue, the sky now incessantly, infinitely overcast, the engines of planes no longer registering in his ears, and the sun never quite shining. Never setting, never rising, and the moon is forever lost in the world's shadow

This world is born from the time he loses Hirano. A cruel, twisted fate, violently yanking all the love Kagiura has ever known out of his life and blindsiding him forever with the knowledge of it. Despite all the purpose he once had, the loss of one of his passions completely destroys all of his others. It feels almost wrong and sick to indulge in them—of course it does. With Hirano gone, nothing motivates him. In his heart, a tank full of love, exists a bleeding, gaping hole, a wound inflicted the night Hirano died, with the same weapon at the same time, even if he didn't know it yet.

Except, a product of this loss is exactly one desire: to know. In the face of a listless, aimlessly existence, Kagiura turns on his heel toward his duty, his responsibility, his purpose to find out who killed the love of his life, and kill them himself.

Some may call it revenge, or justice. Kagiura doesn't think of the act as either of these things. In his mind, it's simply fair. Not right, or defensible, but fair. Something like an eye for an eye. He will find Hirano's murderer, he will know for sure who, and when, and how, and WHY, down to the last detail. He will internalize each of these facts, piece together each seconds of Hirano's last moments and hold them close to his heart. He owes that to him, at least, to humanize Hirano for as long as he was alive, to feel what he felt, to see what he saw. Kagiura will know peace when that day comes.

It won't fix anything, obviously. The sun won't shine again. There will be no light at the end of the tunnel, no flutter in his chest. No longer will his eyes register a blue so deep and precious, or kindness so raw, or fire so hot. But, truly, all Kagiura wants is to give Hirano his eyes back.

Here is the wonderful duet of Yoshiki's and Hikaru's voice actors singing the choir song Shadow of Our Days. Their voices sound so well and beautiful together when merged! I hope we get an official full version of it eventually or at least a making of the recording!

what he means: End this game we're playing in a way that puts us back on neutral ground where it's safe. Prove to me that we're not friends, that I'm right, that you don't like me just like you're supposed to, that we're both only pretending for fun, that this means nothing. You're not supposed to care and it's easier to pretend that I don't when you want me dead and hate me like the others. I don't want to face the fact that the idea of shooting you feels bad now, so you have to finish this for me.

Losing my mind watching people not understand why Jax treated Pomni like that, yes he was awful to her, yes he absolutely said things he shouldn't, but he's VERY BLATANTLY self isolating, he's not being a dick for dick's sake, he's BLATANTLY trying to villainize himself to Pomni so Pomni leaves, but she is able to correctly call him out for the fact he's lying because he's scared of the fact he let her in even a little, and while Pomni doesn't have to take it, it's clear she is unsatisfied with the narrative Jax is clinging to and is wanting to push Jax out of that comfort zone because she sees the damage it's doing to everyone including him.

It's sloppy and messy and bad for them, but it's not Pomni being helplessly gaslit, Jax isn't trying to subtly manipulate her, he's trying to self harm with her, he's literally trying to get her to shoot him in the head without him fighting back. He's hurting himself on her to make her leave and to make him not want to reach out to her.

Which is still again, unhealthy as fuck, but in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT way to just Jax being a manipulative jerk and the fact she doesn't seem to want to give up isn't a sign of jax "winning" or "manipulating her" it's her seeing through his bullshit and going "nope, you are a person, a terrified angry person lashing out, and i dont have to take this, i wont let you walk over me, and i won't let you do this to yourself unchallenged."

The way Goose tricked us into thinking it was something massive and important… and it was just trypophobia. Honestly I’m okay with that it would’ve been impossible for me to digest more Jax angst than we already got at once.

Edit: I agree with the theory that he’s afraid of abstracted people, since their eyes look like bunch of holes, or vice versa. That could explain a lot since they spent A LOT of time addressing that phobia, so it must have something to do with his lore. But it does not necessarily have to be that deep, it might just be one of his silly character traits.

In my personal opinion, I think it will be brought up again, and it will have some meaning for the plot.

He really was about to burst into tears here..

He's so sad. He's so fucking sad it's genuinely breaking me, because he knows he fucked up with Pomni, he's convinced that he'll never be able to rekindle that genuine spark and connection he felt with her

And combined with the awards show going on, I can't imagine how overstimulated he must have been here. He wants the connection, he wants to trust, to be loved, to have someone by his side. But he just keeps self-sabotaging, and I don't even think he knows why he does this at this point.

My heart is almost completely shattered, I love him so much it sickens me

This might just be my favorite scene...out of ANYTHING. Not just the Digital Circus, I mean in all of media.

You can dissect so much out of every line, every twitch, and every little change in his expression, right down to the eyes. You can see how much ALL OF THAT is nothing but him trying to believe his own bullshit, because if he doesn't...

Well...You get the idea.

In episode six of The Amazing Digital Circus — Jax gets too real!

In all seriousness, this was completely fantastic to watch. It was such a good depiction of self destructive behaviors and Michael Kovach was PHENOMENAL.

His instant reaction to pomni hugging him was super telling. He wants to get closer to her, his behaviors show that clearly, but he fears it as well.

His regret after the outburst is also extremely telling.

This did not go as planned. He did not expect to get so close to her and have to push her so suddenly away. He didn’t want to push her away, but felt in this moment that he needed to, at all costs.

As much as he wants everyone to believe his actions were planned, they were IMPULSIVE.

As insistent as he was on telling Pomni that he didn’t care, that it was stupid to think that he might, Pomni was right when she pointed out that Jax wasn’t fighting back. He DID care.

He never hurt Pomni for his own fun at any point in this episode. His actions directly contradict what he’s trying to make Pomni believe. He hurts the others, so she might believe him. But he didn’t want to hurt her. Not anymore. The only time he hurt her on purpose was when he felt like he needed to push her away. But otherwise? He has shown that he doesn’t see her as something to torment. Jax sees Pomni as an equal, a friend.

His words are hollow.

Even his reaction to Ragathas “accusing” him of making friends with Pomni was extreme. Initially his uncaring expression threw Ragatha off, but once she was eliminated you can see that this is the moment Jax realized he was going too far — far past even his own personal boundaries — in forming a bond with Pomni.

Jax was lying the whole time he tried to make Pomni believe he didn’t care. He used all his tricks. Deflected with jokes, brushed off the intensity of the situation, made fun of Pomnis attempts to befriend him, he even tried to make her push him away first with the traitor bit.

Actually, he seems to be obsessed with the whole bit thing, don’t you think? The archetypes.

He thinks that fitting into the role of the circus will help him survive.

As if trying to maintain humanity whilst being deprived of it causes abstraction.

So he picks the perfect role to extract himself of any sort of sincerity or responsibility.

The comedian.

He uses it as a shield even if it damages his relationship with Pomni. And he tries to use Pomni’s humorously chosen role to his advantage, to get her to leave.

Pomni’s prying would humanize him. He would be too open, too vulnerable, too human. He won’t be able to play his role anymore. Or use it to protect his sanity.

If he had nothing beneath his cruel exterior, he wouldn’t have to beg Pomni to stop looking.

Jax knows that if she keeps looking, if she helps him open up, if she pursues his friendship despite his protests, he WILL break, and he WILL show her who he really is. He can’t resist getting close with someone because he — like everybody else — needs a friend.

So he had to make her stop.

very funny to me how people took jax’s rant about being the one that causes pain and enjoys it at face value as if he literally didn’t almost burst into tears at the award show for hurting her. guys if somebody screams in your face that they are sadistic and evil and then is immediately like STOP TRYING TO LOOK FOR DEPTH I DONT HAVE ANY!!!!!!!! on the verge of tears what do u think that means lol
