Spottedstem is still Ravenpaw's mentor and Firepaw is like, shared between mentors, like some days Lionheart has him some days it's Whitestorm other days (worst days) Darkstripe has to train him, best days are with Bluestar and Spottedstem.

I see Firepaw having a very unconventional apprenticehood because Bluestar is very busy due to being leader and he needs to catch up with a lot of things the other apprentices just know because they grew up in the clan.

She still takes a lot of interest in Firepaw due to Ravenpaw seeing her kill Redtail so the more cats she can get to her side and convince Raven is crazy the better (Gatekeeping Gaslighting Catboos)

The one thing I know is that I do not want them travelling back to it due to being the "Only ones capable of solving their problems", so the answer is idk they're probably doing their own thing and chilling from the clan drama.

The swap is mostly on my convenience because some characters don't swap and some do (Hawk and Moth, Tawny and Bramble, Spotted and Tiger obviously, Sand and Fire swap in Firestar's Quest despite never really being swapped before), so on one hand: Yeah it could totally happen and Feather lives but Storm dies, I think both siblings have the same amount of reasons to stay in the tribe even in this au, I think both are haunted in different ways by their parents deaths and take it differently, I think Storm resents Graystripe a bit and Feather could never understand Silverstream, I think the messy thing that is knowing you're probably older than your parents were when they had you hits a bit when you realize the place they called home no longer exists, their graves are gone, you don't have to stay. I see them both young and angry and especially Feather resentful to Starclan for given her this responsability to a clan that failed her when she was younger, that failed her and her brother.

It would be so interesting if she lives and he dies because that's her final point, they did this and Stormfur died, she followed this invisible and frankly stupid command and her brother is dead. And Stormfur? His sister didn't have to do it yet she did, and now she's gone, and she's not even acknowledged by the clan, she's just remembered for that and nothing else.

Schrodingers Storm and Feather, are they alive? Dead? Until we get to the cougar we won't know.

Ted talking anon here! Glad to have you back! I have thoughts on Hollyleaf.

Hollyleaf has always been The Diplomat out of the three to me, and meshes well with Golden's ( Lion's ) The Knight and Jay's The Priest. She's smart, she studies cats and lives by the laws passed down because she's been taught that the code is what differs them from the other cats outside of the clan. She lives her whole life by this code, would happily die to uphold it, argues about the meaning of the words and the interpretation from voices long silenced.

And then she finds out she is a product against it. By the laws of the Clan, she should not exist.

Disgust is a feeling I think she'd feel, but I think she'd feel it for herself more than for her siblings or parents. She feels anger at those who lied, but Disgust with herself, because all her life she has defended a code that, if followed, would mean she would've never been born, should've never been born. She's a melting pot of hate and disgust that stews in her until it floods out at the gathering.

I don't imagine it like the maps, where it's her standing up on the gathering trees braches yelling down at the cats angrily. It's a messy outburst at the worst time and place, it's an airing of grievances in front of everyone. I do think her little thought of " If Starclan doesn't want me to reveal it, they'll cover the moon, they'll show me something to stop me " but instead of thinking or asking for approval from Starclan, it's more " I'm screaming this secret at the top of my lungs so that even God may know and judge you "

Idk, I always liked Hollyleaf as a kinda parallel to a hyper religious person who has their faith Shaken so bad they snap. Anyways, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk! ( feels good to say that again! )

I think they would get together between the second arc and Tiger's death, they're old, they've lived through many things together, it's a slow build up in the au and then there is peace.

idk really, like i don't think he hates Firestar as much as in canon, certainly not because Kittypet (because Cloudtail is his brother and he loves his brother and sister), I think however he feels entitled to Squirrelflight's affections still, because that's part of his character, he has attachment issues and that goes deep and doesn't justify anything he does.

so like, slightly sameish character that just acts well rounded to family and friends but like you do not want to date him at all he is a walking red flag that needs to discuss things in therapy but refuses to go.

how did longtail (and well, the rest of swift’s family/friends) cope after swiftpaw’s death? I don’t think this was explored in canon iirc (it’s been a long time since I’ve read the main series) so I wanna know your thoughts on it in this au :3

Well in this au Swiftpaw doesn't die, but his attack still leaves scars to him and his family Goldenflower and Longtail become very protective of him, and very hostile of Bluestar and active critics of her because of the attack, which does sour a bit Longtail and Fireheart's relationship that they were building up.

Swiftpaw for the most part feels guilty, because it was his idea, and his idea led Brightpaw to get injured badly, so he's not taking it well, Cloudtail is a big comfort for her but not really him, he hates the fact that he still hates him, that he's younger and got to be a warrior and is now spending tiem with them like nothing.

I think he does get better, slowly, healing and finding a place for himself in the clan that loves him, I think he never grows out of that hatred for Bluestar until he's old, I'm not sure when he would die, not on the journey, but I don't think he'd be alive come PO3 or OOTS, so we'll see.

In the hypothetical case of Swiftpaw dying here, I think Longtail takes it the worse, if only he fought harder for the ceremony, if only he'd been there, a better mentor for him. I think Goldenflower insists over the elder's to carry him and bury him right next to Lynxkit graves, and then she leaves the clan for a bit, searching for someone that needs to know, someone she knows will not hesitate to take action, I think it would add a reason as to why Scourge has no problem killing Spottedstar and then going after Tigerfoot. I think Goldenflower still goes to do that in the canon of the au, once it's revealed who led the dogs to Thunderclan, because with Bluestar gone and tensions unsures she needs to tip the scale in their favor.

Grief is handled so differently in warriors and in different ways through all the series, by the more recent arcs we see characters devastated y loss, but by the first series they take it like you haven't lost a child or a brother or a mate, just a clanmate, so yeah, hope that answers the question!!!

Oh god I’m so glad starclan doesn’t hate sandpool girl deserves all the most respect

Like seriously she had the babies that you needed you fucking told her to give them up!! Stop trying to blame her!!!

I'm really not sure what they were going for there, drama??? That's not even good drama that's just being hateful to the characters, and very important context, the two female characters that have been blamed by everyone for everything in like two whole arcs and that book now.

I gotta be honest I love warriors because it's my childhood but I really hate the books I really do, but I don't want to create just to bash on them! One can analyze how unintentional or not they have created this power that is petty and could just go behind its promises like it's nothing, and that's horrifying that's scary. And the worst thing is that no one would believe you if you said it, that's great for a horror take but not here! Here Starclan is just... sometimes uncaring, like a force of nature that just exists. They can't hate there are too many cats to truly reach a consensus, and I like my Starclan that way.

Oh Sandpool who are you here.

She's named after a dear friend of the clan, and yet a direct relative of Spottedstar, she's taken under a mentor who cannot communicate with the stars well, who has taught her that it is not necessary yet she sees the way other edicine cat's look at him, she thus must be perfect and unwaivering in her faith, because if not who else, in the clan, that can and wants to take this mentally and physically demanding job. She wakes up from nightmares and confusing nightmares in silence and stares at the stas with love because they love her enough to show her the visions, to accept her, she looks at Tigerfoot and wonders what caused his lack of faith, of the rejection of the stars, and when she asks they just tell her to not question their judgements so she does not.

And she loves, she loves with all her heart everything and everyone. And this love will be her undoing.

And I think of who she becomes later, a caring cat to everyone else, a sister an aunt a mother figure of everyone that her identity is so tied to her role some days she thinks of the adventure they had together and wonders if perhaps the Sandpool that wanted to leave and not return still lingers inside of her, in her heart, that perhaps it was left behind with Mothwing, that it died with her under that crimson lake.

She has her kits and it's the first time he stares at something she knows she can't do, not right now, not alone, not when they are so tied to her it hurts to look. So she asks Squirrel and Tawny to take them and never let them know who their parents are, because that would ruin them.

In this au it is not forbidden for medcats to have mates, it's just not really seen due to their connection with Starclan, half-clan kits however, yeah that's a no on code probably.........

So she probably, distances herself a lot on the three in this au, in their early life they just know her as auntie Sandpool, like most kits, it doesn't really sink in them that she's actually kin until they're apprentices, when they start interacting more, and the buildup of forming an actual familiar bond is slow and in different stages for the three of them.

Her relationship with Starclan actually cements, and she becomes even more cryptic in the visions, she's regarded as one of the most talented Medicine cats in the afterlife for being able to not only keep her duty through it all but show the ultimate sacrifice and trust just like Moth Flight, and is quickly regarded and brought into the ranks of legendary cats. Yeah we're not doing the trial bullshit, as stated before Starclan is apathetic but not cruel to a rule that isn't really there.

God god god I know it will be a long long time but could we get some info on the three? Lion, jay and Holly?

I haven't thought about the three in this au mostly because my knowledge of the 3rd series and onwards is very limited (country didn't import the books and I grew up with the still being translated 2nd series so the three were introduced through maps and discussions, and sadly I haven't picked up on reading for a while)

But! I do have an idea on their parents and what would their roles be in the au, very subjective to change

Considering the major changes happen in the first series and second series, 3rd series plays differently in terms of conflict and relationships, Tawny and Squirrel coparent the three as Squirrel admitted to her what was happening (their relationship is more closer in this au and healthier, and Tawny knows what it'd be like to be shamed for things outside of your control, especially about your parents), the excuse given to the clan is that they found the three being abandoned by two-legs or rogues and took them in.

I think of Hollyleaf and Lionblaze a lot in this AU: The prophecy is chagned to "Kin of the Five", meaning 5 cats from 5 clans, so Thunderclan only got 1 which was Jayfeather, but in my mind the three don't get to hear the prophecy, as only leaders and medicine cats were given it, Firestar received it soon after Sandstorm left the forest, and Tigerfoot received it right before he died, Sandpool (Leafpool) got it not long after the three were already settled in the nursery, so she thinks it might not be about them, there is more mystery because no one is sure who exactly it is about, or if they would even reside in the same clan.

Goldenblaze is named after Goldenflower, not really their grandma now but still a very respected Clan member that passed not long before the three were born. He's tall, gets his height definetly from Longtail though with a big build that is mostly from Fireheart's family, not as big as Cloudtail but definetly there.

He's good in battle! And that has gotten him... Visits from a certain old leader no one has taught him about (cough cough Spottedstar cough cough), who influences him not about glory or power but the duty he has to protect his clan, his family, and maybe telling him "You're totally a cat of the prophecy how else would you be talking to me?" I haven't thought of much, just, he's a guy what can I say.

Hollyleaf's arc is still kept mostly unchanged, she struggles with the feelings of loyalty and code brought by warrior culture, but then you start to think, where do these feelings actually come from? I think in this au they would come from being raised by Tawnystalk, who instills a lot of what it means to be a good cat unto Holly and ocassionally gives her scary stories about Spottedstar to emphasize why it's important to understand and take into context why they exist, how they can be twisted, and assure her they must never.

It ends up pretty much the same, a core character trait of Hollyleaf is that wanted or not she takes things directly, if someone tells her it must be a way there is a reason because of that, right? I need to think about the third arc better because I still needs to figure out why the three turn up this way, how the events of the second arc shaped the clan around them and how it led them to be this way, a lot of personality is kept mostly the same because that is part of them, of the characters, that I do not want to change, she will still run to the tunnels she will still reveal her and her siblings origins (because why? Is it suddenly disgust? Shame? Are you repenting yourself for something that was out of your control, ironically the same thing your mothers tried to do by preventing this truth from coming out)

As for Jayfeather, well... I'll probably have to make a separate post about the "Kin of the 5" prophecy and who their recepients are.
