One of the big takeaways from Parts I and II the Unofficial Fallen London Profile Questionnaire 2025 was that players want more space on their mantlepiece/in their scrapbook. Nearly 30% of respondents say their mantlepiece and scrapbook is of the utmost importance when it comes to profile and character customization options — only a character's name (at 47.5% of players saying it's "of utmost importance") rated higher!

18% of comments in Part I and 14% of comments in Part II have thus far been requests for more mantlepiece/scrapbook space. (I'd be remiss it I didn't note that there was even a comment saying they'd pay Fate for extra slots.)

As such — 100% agree with this proposal.

(And to anyone who hasn't participated yet, Part I and Part II of the Questionnaire are still accepting responses!)

i think we should get bigger mantelpieces as our lodgings size increases and bigger scrapbooks as our PoSI status increases

The most popular form of address is currently: Captain, at 8.2% of respondents, followed by My Lady at 8.2%, and Doctor, Professor, and Correspondent at 6.7%

The least popular non-Fate form of address is currently: Private at 0% of respondents

The most popular adjective is currently: Irrepressible (Unlocked with Artisan of the Red Science 9) at 11.9% of respondents, followed by Watchful adjectives at 10.3% of respondents

The least popular adjective is currently: Reprehensible (probably because of the consequences having of a criminal record), Proletarian (Connected To: The Docks), and Dodgy (Connected To: Criminals) at 0% of respondents

The most popular noun is currently: Scholar at 14.9% of respondents, followed by Lady at 12.9% and Gentlemen at 10.8%

The least popular nouns are currently: Dame, Dowager, Lad, and Oaf at 0% of respondents

Here are some takeaways from Part II, and some of the wishes and requests that players have written-in:

Players really want more cameo and profile portrait frame options.

Many players wish they could create a Favoured Outfit without using up one of their precious outfit slots.

Many players wish for a bigger mantlepiece/scrapbook.

Over a quarter of players haven't written a personal description for their profile, and of those 47.1% want to, but haven't gotten around to it.

Unofficial Fallen London Profile Questionnaire 2025 | Parts I & II

Looking for something to do while you anxiously await Estival 2025 (starting this Monday)? Consider taking part in the Unofficial Fallen London Profile Questionnaire 2025!

Part I of the survey focuses on the choices you have made in-game for character customization. You may retake the survey multiple times to respond for as many accounts (or "alts") as you have.

Part II of the survey focuses on the player's experience of character customization. Please respond to the survey as yourself, the player, and not thinking of a single character. Please only take this survey once!

This is completely unofficial, and was created out of pure nosiness when I began wondering which cameo is the most popular (and which is the least popular). The survey ballooned out from there. Because I assume that everyone else is as nosy as I am, the results will be publicly available (you'll see a summary of them after responding). Please do not share sensitive or identifying information in your responses! Your email will not be collected.
