Chapter Fifteen
masterlist
chapter warnings: NOT PROOF READ YET I'M TOO TIRED :( dirty texts, mentions of lingerie and sex toys? noah being a loverboy
this is kind of a filler chapter? i just wanted to build on readers friendships with Nicole and Alyson <3
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
"Okay," Nicole clapped her hands together as the door chimed behind you, "Me and my sister picked a few dresses last time we were here, so I want to start with those."
The small boutique was tucked into a quiet street, an hour away from home. As soon as you walked in you were in awe of the interior, there wasn't a single white dress in sight, and it smelled of candle wax and fresh roses.
Every wedding gown was either black, wine red, blue, purple, deep green, or a stormy shade of grey. Velvet, mesh, lace, satin, sequins- it was like walking into a vampire coven's showroom. Alyson let out a low whistle beside you.
“This place is fucking magical,” she muttered, "Why didn't I come here?"
Nicole looked completely in her element, a little smirk playing at her lips as she turned to you both.
“Told you. The moment I walked in here last week, I knew I'd find my dream dress.”
A stylist appeared, dressed in an all black suit, making her red nails pop.
“Nicole Rodriguez, right? You’re back for a second look at the Ravenswood, the Tempest, and the Aphrodite?”
“Yep,” Nicole nodded, and then glanced at you and Alyson. “These are my bridesmaids... We’ll be looking at their dresses after.”
While Nicole disappeared behind a red velvet curtain, you perched on the leather bench beside Alyson, pulling your phone from your pocket to check the text you'd just felt vibrate against your thigh.
Noah: what are you wearing today
Noah: show me
Noah: don’t make me beg baby
You bit your lip, typing back quickly.
You: relax i'm just wearing leggings and a hoodie
You: sorry to disappoint x
Noah: i’m not disappointed. i’m just imagining what's beneath it.
You locked your phone fast, just as Alyson leaned in slightly.
“Who’s got you blushing?”
“No one!" You said, too quickly.
“Mhm.” She narrowed her eyes.
Before she could press further, Nicole stepped out in the first gown.
The Ravenswood was beautiful, it had a sweetheart neckline and a fishtail silhoutte. It had off the shouder sleeves, and was made of a soft black material... but that was it. Nicole looked beautiful, but you could already tell from the way she looked in the mirror that she wasn't sold.
"I don't know," she frowned, "It's gorgeous, but it's not for my wedding... It's more like something I'd wear on date night.
She disappeared back into the dressing room before anyone could say anything.
Your phone buzzed again.
Noah: i still can’t stop thinking about this morning, baby... Your thighs around my head
You: stop being horny right now or you're not getting a picture of my dress
Noah: sowwy
You sighed, turning your phone facedown on your thigh and refused to reply. He was impossible.
The second dress, the Tempest, was even better than the last.
This time, the dress was an a-line silhoutte, with a v neckline that dipped low, as did the back. Black beading and sequins decorated the bodice, catching the light beautifully. Nicole strutted out with her hands on her hips, doing a spin.
"I love this one!" Alyson gasped.
"You look like a princess," you murmured, you had no words for how amazing she looked, "Is this... the one?"
"It's definitely between this one and the next," Nicole said, taking in the look of the dress in the mirror, "It's going to be a hard choice."
"Then go put it on!" Alyson chuckled, "We'll help you."
So, with a nod of her head, Nicole disappeared behind the curtain again.
Then came the third dress.
You and Alyson looked up from your conversation the second Nicole stepped out... and you both just stared, your jaws dropping.
Nicole stepped out in a black, full length, ball gown style dress. This one was also off the shoulder, and had a sweetheart neckline, with Intricate floral appliqués and delicate sequins shimmered across the fabric, catching the light with every movement.
She turned to face the mirror, and then to look at both of you.
Nobody said anything for a moment.
Then Alyson whispered.
“This... This is it. This is the one.”
Nicole looked at herself for a long moment, eyes slightly wide, and then nodded slowly.
“Holy shit,” she breathed. “I think I’m gonna cry.”
You stood, walking toward her, taking a closer look at her dress.
“You look... Nicole, You look perfect... You're like a goth princess.”
Nicole bit her lip, blinking rapidly.
“Okay, yeah... Most of my family is gonna hate it but I don't give a fuck... this... this is the one.”
Behind you, Alyson was already taking sneaky pictures to remember the day Nicole found her dress, because you and here were planning on making a wedding scrapbook for her.
Then, your phone buzzed... again.
Noah: been thinking about this happening for us in the future
Noah: think you'd wear white for me one day?
You laughed under your breath, wanting to tell him Nicole's not wearing white, but you replied anyway.
You: depends... only if you wear black :)
With the wedding dress triumphantly chosen and already whisked away to get tailored, Nicole turned to the two of you with a mischievous smile.
“Alright, my loves. Your turn.”
...
There were numerous dresses that Nicole and her sister, Jasmine, saw the last time they were here and picked out. As the stylist came back with a rack full of dresses, you noticed each one was a beautiful dark, deep shade of red.
You and Alyson both gave each other an excited grin, and Nicole picked out the first ones for you to try.
You both took the first dress and made your ways to the fitting rooms, pulling the thick curtain across before slipping out of your clothes.
The fabric of the dress felt soft enough in your hands, but you already felt a little funny about the high neck and cap sleeves... it was beautiful!... you were just afraid it wasn't something you could pull off.
Still, you slipped into it, and looked in the mirror. The dress fell to just above your ankles, and there was a slit in the side that you were thankful for, it gave the dress something extra to it.
Then, you heard Alyson call your name.
"Yeah...?" You called back, over the wall separating your cubicles.
"What do you, uh... What do you think about the dress?"
"I mean... it's not bad..."
"Oh, it is bad." Alyson chuckled, and you heard her pull her curtain across.
You pulled your curtain across too and walked out at the same time, and when your eyes met, you both burst out laughing.
"Oh no," you said, hand flying to your mouth. “Oh no, no, no.”
Alyson looked you up and down with wide eyes.
“Okay, it’s not just me.”
You shook your head, biting back a grin.
“You look like a very fashionable nun.”
"With a thigh split?" Alyson pointed out, laughing.
"I know it's Nicole's choice but this just doesn't feel... bridesmaidy."
"I hate it," Alyson confessed, "I'm hoping she-"
"Oh..." Nicole's voice cut her off, and you noticed her walk in, the stylist by her side.
“That bad, huh?” You laughed.
Nicole winced playfully.
“I mean… it’s a gorgeous dress. Just not for the wedding.”
Alyson turned to the mirror and frowned, tilting her head up.
“Why does this neckline make me look like I’m all neck?”
“It’s the sleeves for me," you laughed, "I feel like I’m hiding shoulder pads under here.”
"Well, that's one dress down," Nicole chuckled, waving a hand. “And that was one of Jasmine’s picks, so lets try another one- one of my picks!"
You stepped back into the changing room and reached for the next dress, the silky fabric ever so slightly darker hue than the last. The stylist had mentioned this one had a lace-up back and a higher slit, and when you pulled it off the hanger, you instantly understood what she meant.
It was sexy.
You stepped into it, wriggling it up your hips, and tightened the lace at the back before checking yourself in the mirror. The neckline plunged lower, the slit nearly hit your upper thigh, and the material clung to every curve.
A slow smile tugged at your lips. This might not be a bridesmaid dress, but…
"Okay," Alyson called out. "I’m not gonna lie… this one makes me feel good."
“I was just thinking the same thing.” You laughed
You pulled the curtain aside and stepped out at the same time as she did. and the look you exchanged said it all.
“Okay... Absolutely not.” Nicole said immediately, pointing at both of you.
“But-” You started, already laughing.
“Nope,” Nicole shook her head, “With a split that high I'd spend the whole time worrying that one of you'd flash the whole of Jolly's extended family."
"But it's cute!" Alyson said, checking herself in the mirror.
“It’s giving Vegas bachelorette weekend,” Nicole deadpanned. “You’d both upstage me and then some.”
You looked down at yourself in the mirror, smoothing your hands over your waist and giving your reflection a sly smirk.
“Honestly… I’m not mad about it. I might keep this one for a date night- I mean, if I ever get the chance." Good cover up!
Alyson nodded in agreement.
“I mean, we could all get a bonus dress just for the guys' album afterparty…”
Nicole rolled her eyes but smiled.
“If you want to spend the money, go for it. Just don’t wear that on my wedding day.”
You laughed and stepped closer to the mirror, turning slightly to see the back. The corset tie detail showed a lot of skin, but in a dangerously elegant way. You would keep this one in your closet. Probably for a date night with Noah. Maybe after the album release party, when you could really let him see it…
As if he knew you were thinking about him, your phone buzzed again.
Noah: Thinking about you.
You bit back your grin, glancing over at Nicole and Alyson who were both chatting with the stylist again. Quickly, you lifted your phone and snapped a subtle mirror selfie, just your body from the neck down, the slit in the dress revealing your thigh, the curve of your waist unmistakable in the red satin.
You: Found something sinful. Not for the wedding. But maybe for you :)
Seconds later...
Noah: You’re evil. Send another.
You laughed under your breath.
You: Nope. You’ll see it when you earn it.
Just as you were typing, Alyson peered over.
“Again with the phone?”
You blinked innocently.
“Just checking the time.”
“Mmhmm.”
Nicole narrowed her eyes.
“If you buy that dress for a specific someone, I better be hearing all the details over lunch.”
You shrugged, grabbing the curtain.
“We’ll see…”
Back in your cubicle, you slipped out of the daring red dress and hung it carefully on the ‘maybe’ hook. This wasn’t the bridesmaid dress… but you had a feeling it could become one hell of a memory.
You slipped into the third dress slowly, almost cautiously. The stylist had mentioned it was one of their most popular styles for alternative weddings, deep wine red, with a structured bodice and a soft, romantic off the shoulder neckline. The moment the fabric settled against your skin, you felt different. Like you belonged in it.
It cinched your waist perfectly, the skirt flowing out with the faintest tulle underneath, and the back dipped low in a way that felt elegant but still bold. You turned to glance in the mirror, running your hands down the sides. This… this was a bridesmaid dress.
You heard Alyson’s quiet “holy shit” from the other side of the wall.
“What?” You called out, pulling your curtain open.
“Wait until you see this,” she said, stepping out of her cubicle in a matching dress, same off the shoulder neckline, same flowy bottom, same dark, romantic energy.
You both froze when you looked at each other.
“Oh my god,” you said at the same time.
Nicole’s mouth dropped open as she spun in her chair.
“Okay… okay?! You both look so good I might cry.”
Alyson twirled, grinning.
“This is it. This is the one!!”
You turned toward the mirror again, brushing your fingers over the neckline.
“It’s perfect. Like, it actually feels like a wedding dress… but for us.”
Nicole got up and circled the both of you, practically beaming.
“The off-the-shoulder is so flattering, the colour is rich without looking too flashy, and you both look amazing in it!”
The stylist returned with a small tape measure in hand.
“So, ladies, how are we feeling about this one?”
All three of you responded in unison.
“This is the one.”
“Definitely.”
“Perfect.”
The stylist smiled warmly.
“I’ll make a note for final fittings.”
As she began measuring your waist and making notes on her clipboard, your phone buzzed again on the bench behind you. You caught Nicole eyeing it with suspicion, so you kept your smile soft, discreet.
Noah: Still thinking about you, and that dress
...
Once everything was sorted in the boutique, the three of you wandered into a cozy café down the street, collapsing into a booth by the window. The smell of coffee and fresh bread filled the air as you settled in.
You had barely picked up your menu when your phone buzzed again. You didn’t even need to check. You knew who it was.
Noah. Again.
You tried to be discreet, slipping the phone into your lap and silencing it without drawing attention—but Nicole’s eyes didn’t miss a thing.
“That was him again, wasn’t it?” she asked casually, flipping open her menu.
You froze. Just for a second. But that was all it took.
Alyson looked up sharply. “Wait—him? Who’s ‘him’?”
Nicole didn’t even look up. “Noah. Her phone lit up with his name earlier while you were trying on dresses.”
Alyson gasped, dramatically slapping her hand over her heart.
“YOU’VE BEEN TEXTING NOAH ALL DAY AND DIDN’T TELL US?!”
You winced, cheeks burning as you tried to hide behind your menu.
“Can we order first?”
Nicole leaned in across the table, eyes narrowed.
“No. We are not moving on until you tell us what the hell is going on. I thought you two hated each other?”
You glanced between them, both of them staring at you like you were under interrogation.
“Okay,” you sighed, lowering your menu slowly. “Fine. I’ll tell you. But this stays between us, okay? No one else knows.”
They both nodded, swearing that whatever is said at the table stays between the three of you.
You inhaled deeply.
“Well, we made up not so long ago, the last festival the guys played at... And, well.... We’ve decided to try again, now things are different.”
Alyson gawked.
“Wait what?! How long has this been going on?”
You hesitated.
“A week. Maybe a little more.”
“Who made the first move? Spill!” Nicole leaned over the table.
You took a deep breath.
"In bed... he asked me to be his girlfriend when I was, well, on top of him. He took me out on a date that afternoon, it was the first real date I've been on, and I stayed with him that night- oh and the night before!"
"I can't believe you two finally came to your senses." Nicole smiled, "Jolly told me it was kinda love at first sight for you two, so I don't understand how this took so long?!"
"Well, after we first met, life got in the way for a while and we didn't see each other for years," you confessed, "And then the tour happened last year, and I screwed everything up... but he still took me back."
"If that's not love, I don't know what is."
"Hey..." Alsyon began, a mischevious smirk on her face, "Did he tell you 'I could wait for you at the bottom, I could stay away if you want me to, I can wait for years if I gotta-"
A swift kick of your foot under the table shut her up, but she couldn't help but laugh.
"I'm sorry," Alyson smiled, "But I'm happy for you two too... Is it actually serious this time?"
"I want it to be," you said, pulling slightly at the sleeves of your hoodie, "But I can't stop feeling guilty... I lied to him, I went behind his back and I was sleeping with someone else for months, and it still hurt him even though we weren't really together... and he still wanted me after that?"
"It means he loves you." Alyson said, reaching over the table to hold your hand, "He knows everything that happened, and he still wanted you back."
"And don't forget, it took some time for him to come to terms with things and forgive you, it isn't like it happened overnight." Nicole reminded you.
“I guess…” You looked out the window, the weight of it still sinking in. “It just feels surreal. Like I have no idea what I did in a past life to deserve someone like him.”
“Oh my god, stop you’re gonna make me cry,” Nicole pouted.
“More like,” Alyson added, “What did he do to deserve you? He’s been a stubborn asshole at times. And you stayed.”
Nicole nodded.
“You’ve both hurt each other. But you made it. So don’t feel bad. Be happy! And start thinking about what you’re gonna wear under that dress at the album release party.”
You blinked.
“What?”
Nicole pointed out the window.
“Lingerie store. Right there. In plain view.”
You followed her gaze... sure enough, a pink and black boutique across the street with mannequins in lacy sets, babydolls, and even some BDSM pieces in the window.
“Oh my god,” you laughed. “That’s not subtle at all.”
“Oh, we’re going in there,” Alyson grinned, sipping her drink. “I need something new to surprise my husband.”
Nicole grinned.
“I want bridal lingerie. And something for the album party next week.”
Alyson suddenly looked at you and grinned.
“You should tell Noah where you’re going. Send him a little teaser. I bet he’d lose his mind.”
“He already did when I sent a photo of that second bridesmaid dress!”
“I knew I saw you take a pic!” Alyson pointed, giddy. “What did he say?”
You pulled up your texts and passed her your phone. Alyson scrolled for a second before gasping.
“Oh he’s feral...”
Nicole leaned over to read, and her eyes widened.
“What does he mean by your thighs around his head-”
“Okay! That’s enough scrolling!" You said, yanking your phone back with a grin.
“No, don’t be shy!” Nicole teased. “Me and Alyson share everything.”
“Yeah,” Alyson nodded. “And now you have to tell us everything. If you’re comfortable, of course.”
“Yes please, I need to talk about this with someone. I’ve never been so... satisfied in my life.”
“Oh we’re definitely going lingerie shopping later.” Nicole laughed.
...
As you stepped inside the store, your eyes didn't know where to look first.
Soft, warm lighting bathed the shelves and racks, highlighting delicate lace, silky satin, and mesh in every almost shape and shade imaginable. The faint scent of vanilla and something floral drifted through the air, and music played quietly from the speakers in the corners of the store, which happened to be one big room, set into sections.
Nicole’s eyes immediately locked onto the bridal section.
“Okay, this is where the magic happens,” she said with a grin, running her fingers over an intricate lace set. “This is exactly what I want to wear the night I get married."
Alyson chuckled and drifted over to a display of babydolls and chemises in deep jewel tones, there was emerald green, sapphire blue, rich amethyst.
“I’m definitely getting something for the album release party. Maybe a new toy, too. You'll find that when you've got a rockstar boyfriend you get quite lonely when they're on the road... Toys will be your new best friend.”
You felt your cheeks warm, your pulse quickening as you wandered to the racks of bras and panties, your fingers tracing the soft lace and satin.
There were sets in every shade you could imagine, baby pinks with tiny bows, deep reds that reminded you of Noah, sultry blacks, and dreamy lilacs. Some had delicate floral embroidery, others were daringly strappy, like they were designed to tease with every glance.
You pulled out a soft lilac bralette trimmed with tiny bows and floral details and held it up against yourself. It looked innocent, almost playful. Then your eyes caught the baby pink set, sheer and delicate with satin ribbons and little heart shaped charms dangling from the straps.
Next, your gaze landed on a black set, sleek and seductive, mesh panels and velvet details, with a silver ring at the centre. It made your breath catch.
And finally, a deep, dark red that was exactly you thought of when you imagined Noah’s favourite colour, and it had a heart shaped cut out on the crotch...
“Okay, I’m overwhelmed.” You murmured, pulling out your phone. With a quick snap, you took a picture of the four sets layered across your arm: lilac, pink, red, and black.
You texted him:
You: noah.
You: say nothing. just pick one.
Within seconds, his reply (or replies) popped up.
Noah: Red.
Noah: You already knew that.
Noah: Wait maybe pink too fuck i dont know
Noah: What else are you looking at?
You bit your lip, hiding a smile.
From behind you, Alyson’s voice purred.
“Did you send him those?” She held up a baby blue babydoll, the sheer fabric shimmering under the store’s lights. “I’m thinking this is definitely coming home with me.”
"I couldn't decide which one to get, but then Noah said the red, and pink... But I know reds his favourite colour."
"Girl, get them all!" Alyson grinned, "Think about it, at least one pair will get ruined if he's anything like Matt..."
She was right.
You looked at the four sets in your arms, and gave her a smirk.
Because why choose?
Curious, you wandered toward the back of the store, where the toy section was. There were shelves and shelves of anything you could ever imagine. Vibrators, blindfolds, restraints, oils and flavoured lubes, dildos, plugs, and you had no clue what a Womanizer even was.
Your heart hammered in your chest as Alyson led the way, her eyes gleaming with mischief.
“This wand? Game changer. Matt and I use it all the time.”
Nicole, who had spotted the two of you coming this way and joined, leaned over, admiring a collection of delicate cuffs trimmed with velvet and lace.
“If you don’t come out of here with at least one thing, I’ll be shocked.”
You reached for a simple white wand vibrator, surprisingly heavy and smooth in your hand. You cradled it like a secret treasure, your pulse quickening with the thought of what it could mean for later.
“I might get this...” You said softly, tucking the box under your arm.
“Do it for you! ...And for Noah,” Alyson said with a wink, already juggling her own collection of silky pieces and toys, "You won't regret it once he's touring again."
You took a deep breath, heart pounding.
“I'm getting it, but I won't tell him... not yet.”
“Secrets are sexy.” Nicole smirked.
You pulled your phone back out, finding Noah's contact.
You: couldn't decide in the end, i'm getting them all :)
Noah: Fuck please come over tonight wearing one of them
Noah: Only one of them*
You: nope! gotta wait til the album party :)
You laughed, locking your phone and sliding it into your pocket.
“So," Nicole's eyes twinkled, "Mr. Sebastian’s losing his mind over your lingerie choices, huh?”
“You have to send him pictures in them when you get home.” Alyson nudged you.
You smiled, a little thrill running through you.
“Oh, that’s definitely the plan.”
...
By the time you got home, the bag handles were starting to leave little indents on your fingers, but you didn’t care. You’d been smiling since the second you left the store, heart fluttering every time you glanced at your phone and saw Noah’s name still lighting up your screen.
Folio was in the kitchen when you walked through the door, popping open a can of soda and rummaging for snacks. His eyes landed on the glossy shopping bags hanging from your wrist.
“What’d you buy?” He asked casually, raising an eyebrow.
You hugged the bags a little closer to your chest so he wouldn't see the logo.
“Girly things!” You said quickly, then turned on your heel. “Don’t worry about it.”
He narrowed his eyes suspiciously but said nothing as you bolted up the stairs like a woman on a mission, butterflies already swirling in your stomach.
Once in your room, you kicked the door shut with your foot and dropped the bags onto the bed. You peeled off your clothes and carefully pulling out the red set first, Noah’s favourite.
The lace was delicate and soft, hugging every curve perfectly as you slid the pieces on. The bra lifted just right, the panties sitting high on your hips with thin straps that left little to the imagination. You turned to the mirror, adjusting the band, and swallowed hard. It looked lethal.
You reached for your phone.
You: got a minute?
Noah: Always x
You: remember that red set?
Attached: a mirror selfie, just your torso, angled just right, showing off the sheer lace and sliver of your hip, the strap of the thong peeking above your thigh.
Noah replied in seconds.
Noah: Fuck it i'm coming over right now
Noah: Dont move. Don't breathe.
You giggled, sitting back on the edge of the bed. You still hadn’t even shown him the other sets. Or the toy that you had tucked carefully away in your drawer.
You: oh? but I’m not done showing you everything…
Noah: I’m not even kidding. I will abandon this session i'm in and speed there.
Noah: You look insane. like a dream.
Noah: Take it off and send me another.
You: nope :)
You: you get to see it in person. next weekend.
Noah: You’re torturing me.
Noah: I love you.
Noah: I hate you.
Noah: How the fuck did I get so lucky
You smiled, setting your phone down and reaching for the black set next. Because if he thought red was dangerous… he had no idea what was coming next.
