Samir Al-Astal, son of Ahmed Al-Astal, has been in critical condition since February 2024. He lost one leg, and the other is now effectively paralyzed. All of Samir’s severe bone fractures are a direct result of the occupation in Gaza. Heartbreakingly, Ahmed has already lost his other son, Saeed. Most recently, their tents were struck by a devastating bombing, resulting in the deaths of an entire family.

As Ahmed puts it: “The genocide does not stop in the tents.”

Is that not a devastating truth?

Tents and shared camps are among the only remaining sources of shelter and solace for many Palestinians—yet even these offer no true safety. Despite everything, Ahmed continues to fight for his family's survival, working tirelessly to amplify their campaign, even as the algorithm tries time and again to silence him.

Please, do not let his efforts be in vain. This family has endured more than anyone should, and they deserve to know that their story moved someone enough to take action and donate.
