& I know I did this to myself. I made the decision to leave.. but my god was it the last thing I wanted. I had envisioned a life for us.. I had been through everything what it would be like waking up next to you everyday and what our children would be like.. 

But it was a one sided vision. I miss the life we never had. I miss the experiences we had together. Sitting close to each other by the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue, talking about everything under the sun. I saw the building that looks like a cake the other day as I was riding down the highway, and tears came to my eyes. Sometimes I catch a scent that reminds me of our first kiss. Parked in your car listening to punk. You tasted like Kombucha and I was scared. 

I’ve wanted you for a long time. From the moment I met you I knew I wanted you in my life. But as always, I’m just your beautiful distraction..

And on the off chance you see this.. 

I will always love you and I constantly miss you. I’m waiting for the day that you come to my house willing to fight to have a future together. 

I don’t think that day will come but I hope I’m wrong.
