!!INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT POST FOR THE KND FANDOM! PLEASE SHARE AND SPREAD THE WORD NO MATTER WHAT FANDOM YOUR IN!!
Some things have come up in the kids next door fandom that I can no longer be quiet about because it is affecting the mental health of me and several of my friends, including a MINOR. Arudan, I hope you’re reading this, because a storms fucking coming you POS.
I am so disgusted and appalled by your behavior through such a messy situation. Instead of taking accountability and trying to address the situation with grace you attack your friends and the MINORS that came to you about this situation who just wanted clarity and were hoping that maybe this was all a misunderstanding. However, your horrific behavior, refusal to engage with the matter, and worst of all trying to drag a MINORS name through the mud, is absolutely repulsive and screams guilt.
I can’t believe I gave someone like you a second chance. I can’t believe I let you convince me you were better and continue to roam in a fandom you have no place in being. I’m even more of a fool to think you would keep your word and remove yourself from the fandom like you said you would, only to go behind the backs of people who thought you were their friend, and continue to push the narrative that you’re the victim. You’re 30 fucking years old, trying to hurt the reputation of a minor, all because you got caught, again.
The truth is, I have screenshots. I have proof. You can’t fucking hide anymore. Im not going to let a monster like you continue to lurk in the shadows and manipulate people anymore. Leave now. You’re not wanted here. You should have kept your word and kept your mouth shut. I will never EVER fucking forgive you for what you put me, your friends, and everyone else through. We gave you a chance and you do THIS.
Most of all, I’m disappointed in myself that I let you manipulate me into believing you could change. You really had me convinced didn’t you? Wow. Incredible performance. You really know how to play your board. Congratulations for getting this far, really. Fuck you.
It’s going to take some time to get the call out ready, so I’m giving you a chance to come clean now, and leave. You have one last fucking chance to get out of here with what little grace you have left. Don’t try deleting messages. We have everything screenshot and saved. We have what we need. If you want to save yourself the headache, leave before I push this out. It’s not going to be pretty.

Now I don’t want to spoil much about my AU of Maurice so I’ll try to make this short as possible.
My AU of Maurice is similar to canon when it comes to his storyline of going solo for three years to find the source of the chicken pox which he was successful in and now he’s a TND spy and is dating Cree to get information from her.
Though it’ll be a bit more different with its execution since I want to go more in depth with him and his storyline. As Maurice will basically be example of: a hero getting the goal that he wanted it but pays a heavy price. As he gets his goal but not in the way he wanted it.
Maurice in my AU has a hero complex but not in an arrogant and egoistical way but more of trying to be the symbol of an great KND operative that everybody sees him as to a point of damaging his social life and connections with his loved ones. Since he’s a really good kid that wants to help others, it’s just his major flaw is being too laser focus on the mission and a bit too loyal for the KND.
A prime explain is that during his three years of going solo, he slowly stop responding to his teammates letters. Believing that it’ll protect them from harm if he ever make any great enemies on this mission. And how his relationship with his parents was damage since he’ll skip school or won’t come home for days because he’s so laser focus on completing his mission.
Another thing that I’m planning on exploring is his romantic relationship with Cree as the concept of dating somebody because you want to get information out of them is too much of an interesting concept to not go in depth with.
And yes I’m still going to explore his dynamic with Abigail and 8a+8b. Especially with Abigail as their dynamic is really interesting once think deeply about it.
That’s all
If you have any questions I’m happy to answer.

A quick ramble about KND as a show
KND is one of those shows where despite its flaws. I could never hate or even dislike it. While it’s not my current hyper fixations at the moment, I still enjoy it.
The show is a perfect 5-7/10 depending on the episode. While yes it’s very flaws and hasn’t age well. I can’t bring myself to hate it.
As whenever I watch the episode of the show or see any fan work that showcase the spirit of the original show. It always brings a big smile to my face.
As you can tell that during that time and even now, Mr. W and the rest of the crew really cares about the series and wants to see its full potential.
Now I don’t know what production was like for the show, but it really feel like the crew wanted to push the show to its limits of what it can do and be during the later half, but was limit to the genre of being an 11 minute action comedy cartoon.
Now I’m not saying that KND is this underrated masterpiece of master class writing with zero flaws what’s so ever.
It has its flaws and I myself have a lot of criticism towards the show.
But I kind of disagree with the notion that it’s a terrible/bad tv show.
For what the show is, it’s a good 5-7/10 depending on the episode/storyline. Not the best I seen but far far from the worst I seen.
It’s a simple series that knows what it wants to do, try to go over and beyond to push its limit but couldn’t (because of reasons we don’t fully know) but still did a decent job at it at the end of the day.
Also the fandom is filled with a lot of creative and talented people and I’m so so glad that this is the first fandom that I actually interacted with. Like seriously a lot of y’all are so talented and very inspirational.

Finished the live reading and I almost cried towards the end with a big smile on my face. As it was a great reminder why I fell in love with the show in the first place.
Even if GKND doesn’t get green light. It still brings a smile on my face that Mr. W and the rest of the entire crew (VA, other writers, etc) are still passionate about this series.
It also makes me want to lock tf in more with my AU just in case I’m onto something with the teens despite how differently my AU is from the canon show. (As lately I been having a creative boost for the last couple of days).
Overall the live read was a very enjoyable and emotional watch as it reminds me why I fell in love with the show to begin with.

Hopefully he doesn’t look to unrecognizable as I try to do something a bit different with him. Like he still has his mullet and sun glasses and will have his basic color scheme. It’s just different plus I decide to give him braces cuz why not

Update
I’m planning on doing a few more character reference sheets then I’m going to start back working on the prologue chapter.
Luckily I already did the script and storyboards
As I just need to work on the actual pages then upload.
I originally plan on uploading it scene by scene but I’m just going to drop the entire thing as a way for saying thanks and apologizing for taking so long.
If you have any questions about anything I’m happy to answer.
That’s all

If you could have any KND merchandise be rereleased, what would you want? I myself would love a rerelease of the plushies. They're super cute and I'd love having the whole team.
Have a great day/night!
Honestly I don’t know much about KND merch expect for a few toys and books. But if I had to choose.
Probably some official rainbow monkey plushy, an entire dvd/blue-ray set with behind the scenes and commentary, and lots of prints and stickers.

It's not a direct question about your AU (sorry…), but I have to ask: do you think we'll finally get some G:KND announcements next week?
No need to apologize and for my answer:
Probaly not.
As while we are getting revival and sequel shows left and right. I don’t think GKND will happen as it might be seen as two risky from CN/Warner bro.
But if I’m wrong, then I’ll be very mix on the idea. Mostly for a few reason
1- we have too many revivals/sequel series and not enough original shows. As I want more original shows to start getting greenlight before wanting to see a reboot/sequel series greenlight.
2- while it’ll be such a cool and interesting story to tell. I feel like it’ll be too grand and to big where it doesn’t feel like KND any more and a story that promise a lot of things at the start but doesn’t back it up with a satisfying ending.
Hope this is a satisfying enough answer.

A quick ramble about KND and the fandom (specifically on tumblr)
I know what I’m about to say might not seem much coming from me since not a lot of people know about this blog or what I even do. But I’m still going to say this anyway.
Dear KND fandom
Y’all know you’re allowed to like and enjoy the show without feel any guilt or shame about it. Now I know that statement might feels like I’m lying due to how heavily the show is on this side of the fandom. Some criticism that I agree with and criticism that I don’t fully agree with, feeling like that specific issue is more nuanced.
But at the end of the day. You’re still allow to like, enjoy and create fan content about it
Yes I know the show isn’t perfect but in my opinion it’s not the worst show out there. And before you think I’m defending any of the outdated and even bigot things that KND does. I’m not, I’m just trying to say is while the show is flawed I feel like it’s not as terrible as a lot of people make it out to be. It’s the literal definition of perfectly mid and that’s okay.
If you enjoy the show, you’re valid
If you hate the show, you’re also valid
As at the end of the day, this is a kids show that aired more then 20 years ago and won’t have any new things coming out about. This isn’t me saying that we shouldn’t have any conservations about it since that’s just anti-intelligent and reduce the conversation to “it’s not that deep bro”. But I feel like the show needs more nuance as again its flaw but not the worst show that was created.
Also for those who’s afraid of creating a AU/fanfic because you feel like everybody else will hate it due to how different it is just do it anyways.
Wanna create an AU where sector V was the one delightfulize. Then do it
Wanna create an AU only focusing on Father and the Delighful children. Then do it
Want to create an AU where all of sector V got decommissioned and meet up again in the future. Then do it.
As long as it ain’t no proshipping bullshit. Then try it.
Will others hate it. I don’t know. But at least you try something new and different.

Mini essay/rambling about representation in KND
So lately I’ve been seeing post about how KND handles its representation when it comes to their minority characters, rather that be related to gender, race, neurodivergent, etc. which causes me to start thinking and reflecting about the topic since recently I was rewatching the show (not the entire show just random episodes).
As I want to talk about how KND handles its poc characters, specifically its black characters (since I’m black myself) as while it’s not the worst I’ve been it’s far from the best.
Now before I get into the meat of things
Yes, I know the show is over 20 years old
No, I’m not saying that every show with black characters should have episodes that’s basically are history lesson/political commentary about race and racism in America
And no, I’m not saying every single black person is the same and have the exact same experience.
That being said. Let’s actually get into things.
The black characters that I want to focus on is Abigail, Cree and Maurice since those are the black characters that I personally know the most about and am more confident about making an analysis on.
First Abigail. While she’s one of my favorite, if not my favorite character of the show, I do understand and acknowledge that she’s an example of the “sassy and aggressive black girl” stereotype who so happens to get more nuance as the show went on. Operation dog house is an example that comes to mind where she’s ask Wally to help her defeat the wolf queen. Or in operation Maurice where she’s fearful of becoming a teen as everybody she knew is either already a teen and evil or will become a teen soon, being examples of episodes where she’s more nuance as a character. Also her being a tomboy, (while isn’t the worst thing, as there are black folks that doesn’t care for traditional gender norms and just want to be themselves and dress however they like.) is still dicey since blacknesses as a whole is seen more masculine and more aggressive. Which is why I wish/headcanon her to be more on the gender enby/nonbinary side of things (not overly masc but not overly fem). Overall I still enjoy her character even if she’s a stereotype at the end of the days. Though in a bit I’ll explain what they couldn’t done with her characterization.
Second Cree. Now when it comes to the problems of Cree’s character writing. I believe it’s less of a race issue and more of a character writing/skill issue. As she’s just an eviler version of Abigail and that’s really it. With her being evil for the sake of being evil despite the fact that she has the potential of being a more morally grey character. Like I don’t know, explore more of her dynamic with Abigail and Maurice, explain why she join father and the teen ninjas, and have her even challenge the KND ideology and ethics of decommissioning operative once they turn thirteen. Though back on the topic at hand, I guess the only problem I have with her writing related to race is that she can be overly wrathful and angry at times but some can argue that cause she’s a villain while I’ll argue back “yeah but her character writing is still shit”.
Maurice- Honestly I don’t have much to say when it comes to his character writing and how KND handles its black characters. Since bro is literary only in two episodes and one of the episodes operation Party is literally like a few minutes at the most. So like Cree, it’s less of a race issue and more of a writing/skill issue.
Like I said before. I don’t expect KND to have episodes that goes into the topic of racism when it comes to their black and other poc characters. As at the end of the day I understand that the shows main goal is to be a basic power fantasy and silly show about an organization fighting against evil adults. That being said I still believe that they could’ve done storylines that can represent their black characters decently well without even having to mention/bring race involved. As I have a few ideas on how they could’ve done so
For Abigail- have it where her being overly protective, chill, and motherly to her friends be the point. Since she’s try to be on the mask of “cool 2nd in commands that everybody can rely on and has everything figure out” because she was inspired by Maurice who had a similar mask put on during the days of old sector V. Though as the series goes she learn that while it’s okay being selfish and be there for your friends, you still matter at the end of the day. I’ll also have her be more on the gender enby side of things where she’s a mixture of fem and masc presenting to a point of giving people gender envy. And one more thing I’ll have is that whenever she is being sassy, the framing will be different. With it less being over the top and more of a dry humor kind of way. Since me and a lot of black folks that I know will call out or at least react to other people that are being jackasses even if we don’t comment it or say it out loud.
For Cree- Have it where she’s a reflection of people going down the villainy route because they don’t have a safety net, similar to the league of villains from my hero academia. Along with exploring her dynamic with Abigail and Maurice. For example, her being more playful and less serious whenever she’s fighting Abigail since while she respect Abigail skills she doesn’t see her as a threat. Or to have Cree be more nervous and even shy whenever she’s goes on date with Maurice like an average teenage girl would. Along with explaining and showing more of her backstory on why she betray the KND and join father with her having to basically grow up more faster compare to her peers due to how dangerous being father apprentice is.
For maurice - have it where his character comment about how people will abounded their friends and families to complete a goal and for what they believe if for the greater good. To a point of damaging their relationship with everybody around them. Like how Maurice has a hard time socializing with teens around him since he spend three years alone unless he’s with Cree or Chad.
As while these stories aren’t inherently about race. I have a feeling that it’s stories that a lot of black folks and other poc people can relate to.
That’s all I have for right now. And sorry for this long ass post as I have a lot of thoughts about KND as a whole

Okay so I’m doing a short rewatch of the show (not the entire show just about 10 random episode or so) and I just got done finish watching operation OFFICE
Mr. Boss plan of sending the children of his employees to random planets has to be one of the most dumbest villain plan I ever watch. As it has so many obvious draw backs
Most noticeable is that his employees won’t be concern with work if their children ends up missing. They’ll be too busy basically grieving their children’s disappearance and probably also angry beyond belief that their children ended up missing at their job
A better villain plan is to have the “take your daughter/son to work day” be a cover up for breaking child labor laws. That way you’ll have more hands on work with little pay. Of course there’ll still be draw backs but at least it can be more well hidden then “a bunch of our employees children randomly ended up missing at the same time in our building”.
But hey I’m not an evil business man from a 20 year old children show. So what do I know
