My Hazbin hotel S1 review

Character design: ok-ish

There’s one character design that sit at the lowest point in my book which is St Peter in Episode 6.

Same face structure, same bowtie and suitdesign, I’m sorry but Peter looks so mid, he look like a twink

Story writing, world building, songs:

The pacing in this season is horrendously fast. We just started the series with 8 episodes and we’re already fought against the Heaven Exterminators/Exorcists in the season finale.

Like there’s no build-up, no tensions, no consequences, nothing but plot twist at the end.

The songs in this series, aren’t very good to impress me. Again, there’s some weird building up to the song that the character is about to sing and it feels unnatural for me to listen.

I almost kinda liked “Hell’s greatest Dad” if Mimzy hadn’t buzz in and interrupting the crew. Unfortunately it happened and she ruined the song for me.

Overall this series so far is very mid compares to the 2019 pilot episode. Nothing but disappointed

I still have PTSD after that incident.

I’m still feeling ambivalent about her.

I was disappointed when she was being rude to certain people and felt very sorry for them(I still do)

and then I knew her other sides. All I can say is she had a hurt soul and because of that she often made bad decisions.

I’m not responsible for her and yet I felt guilty for a long time that I couldn’t stop her from being hurt and hurting others again and again because she always treated me so well. I don’t know if she even trust me anymore.

It’s just me want to clear things out. That’s all.

So I know I said I won’t be posting, I probably won’t be uploading as often as I don’t want to rush right back into things and fall into burn out again. But I worked hard on this drawing and it came out much better then I imagined so I wanted to share

Another drawing inspired by the lovely headcannons done by @thotsforvillainrights (some 18+ stuff on their blog so heads up for that) with my favorite drunk man, Deidoro and my OC Yukubo

This was more just to play around with a more cartoony style since I often jump between something that’s more semi realistic then rubber hose inspired style, tried to do a combo of both. Deidoro was a lot of fun to draw!

Also him and Yukubo would make for a chaotic duo and I want them to be drinking friends

Technically it’s my birthday on the 29th but posting this a lil early as I’ll probably forget tomorrow Honestly my 18th birthday kinda sucked with the fact we couldn’t really do all that much with COVID, I was hoping my 19th would be a little better, but with some family members who are more vulnerable then me being down we have to take things safely, but hey ho: here’s hoping my twentieth can actually be celebrated the way I’d like to next year To anyone else who’s having/is going to have their bday in the upcoming days happy birthday to you!
