University of San Agustin (U-Week)

University week, the most exciting activity in the University of San Agustin every second semester of the year. It`s a week that can make every student enjoy, have fun, let loose and not worrying about paperwork ,school problems and classes, and just enjoy a week of freedom and excitement.  U-week will test the student’s teamwork, sportsmanship, unity and competitiveness among each departments of the university. February 26- March 1, 2019  will be the starting week of University week that the school prepared for us students. This U week`s theme is “Filipino Fiesta”, on February 26 2019 (Tuesday) 3pm-5pm, Foot parade in the University of San Agustin field, then in the afternoon we will having the Pasiklaband activity where different departments in the University will be held in the University of San Agustin field to form a band and compete with other departments. 

February 27, 2019 (Wednesday) Dance Crew in the USA gym this activity will let us enjoy how Agustinians build and unite and form a group to test their skills and compete in other dance groups to see who will be the next Dance crew champion this 2019. On February 29, 2019 (Thursday) the Mr. and Ms. USA 2019 in the USA gym, where students was chosen and represent by each department to see who has the Brains, Beauty, Passion and Talent and be crowned MR & MS USA 2019.

But wait there`s more

February 28, 2019 (Thursday) 9am-12nn at the USA Field Laro ng Lahi, this is where the school prepare games for all students that is willing to join.  On March 1, 2019 (Friday) this will be the at Lunchtime where each department prepare their Food Fiesta that will be feast and enjoy by each and student in each department areas. Then we will have the CLAYGO activity where students in each their department show their hidden talents and show to the audience their full confidence. Then after that we will have the Pinta tao where there will be a representative student which we call a model that will be painted in a unique and artistic way then when its finish the best work will be declared the winner for Pinta tao 2019. Then we will have the last and Final activity the TGIF Obra 2019  at the USA Gym 4:30pm-10pm where the chosen models get to where each departmental design of each category and the best design will be declared to be the winner of TGIF Obra 2019. College of Commerce is one of the Leading Department at University of San Agustin, It is specialize Marketing Management, Financial marketing, Entrepreneurship, Accounting technology, and Accountancy. Below I have listed my top 5 reasons why I chose this department.

1)Good places with good people

These are my favorite spots in the COC Department. It is where students come to thinking and relax with their spare time. Sometimes student just hang here with friends and enjoying them selves out in the open. 

Students enjoy spending their time in the fresh air and the surroundings of nature, it just makes them feel relax and open to the world.

2)The Teachers 

Teachers in the COC department are positive they may also be strict in terms of teaching students but they share their knowledge and guiding students to success and to enhance their knowledge. They know the work is challenging, but they’ve accepted the task and know they can be an amazing teacher because their attitude is great and no one can tell them they can’t do something. 

3)College of Commerce offers High Standards Education

Having a high standard of education can lead a student to succession and goals. The lessons that you learn here will give you so much knowledge and education, it can also test your limits on how you can be pressured in school that can lead and develop you to a higher standard of learning and knowledge. 

4)Provides comfortable facilities

Classrooms are now provided with Television, Air conditioners,  Projectors, Speakers and also changed the chalk board into a glass board,  having this equipment's can really help students to focus on their lessons and can easily get the attention of the students.

Inspirational Blog

Every student has its favorite spot in the campus and I would like to share to you mine. 

Aguirre Park of University of San Agustin

this place is where i come to thinking and relax with my spare time. Sometimes I just hang here with my friends and talk about life and sometimes nonsense, I enjoy spending my time here because of the fresh air and the surroundings of nature, it just makes me feel relax and open to the world. I can also see a lot of people passing by with a smile on their faces that makes my day a whole lot better.

Another place in the campus I truly love is the Chapel. This is the place where I talk to god with my problems and and thanking him that I`m still alive and health everyday. I always ask for guidance and blessing from him and to guide and protect the people I cared about and to the people who are going through a difficult time in their life. 

This is what inspires and motivate me as a student. With god by my side I can reach my goal, not the fastest way but by gods way for me.

Personal Blog

Today i decided to blog about my personal life.  Hi my name is Sam and this is my short story.

I am Samuel Owen Barrera Cabaluna. You can call me Samuel, Sam, Sammyboy and Owen. But at home they call me Nonoy. I am 20 years of age and was born on November 19, 1998 at Iloilo City. 

I am the second youngest among the five. I grew up in my Lola`s place in Jalandoni Street Jaro Iloilo City. I am currently studying at University of San Agustin taking up bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management. 

These are my parents. Life with out parental support can be a disaster. My Parents are one of the most amazing people you can find around the world for all the sacrifices they had made for me. I have great parents, and I still live with them. They help me with every step of my life. They never turned me down or made excuses about it. They are sweet and lovely. They love me and they would give their life for me. I thank god that gave me such a great gift.
