Just The Sniffles

Ranboo sniffed for what felt like the tenth time that hour. He was sitting at his computer editing, so he didn’t really notice that he was sniffing so much, but his significant other Y/N, who was sitting across the room reading a book, most definitely noticed. After he sniffed once more, and sputtered out a cough, they couldn’t help but confront him.

“Are you sick?” They asked, putting a bookmark on the page they were reading. Y/N was known to be pretty blunt, and today was no different.

Ranboo stopped typing. “No. Why?” He answered, but random sneeze completely ruined his statement.

“Really?” Y/N asked, standing up from their spot on the couch to stand behind his signature unicorn gaming chair. They laid the back of their hand against his forehead, it was immediately met with warmth. “Because you’ve been sneezing all day, plus you’re burning up. Tell me the truth, how do you feel?”

He practically melted into their touch, their touch being better than any medicine out there. “The truth? I feel like shit.” He finally admitted. They smiled lightly at their boyfriends way of words.

“Go lay down, I’ll get you some headache pills and water.” Y/N ordered, ruffling his hair lightly as they usually did. He nodded and stood up, making his way to his bedroom slowly. They dashed downstairs, quickly grabbing two pills from the bottle and filled a water bottle with ice cold water. When they returned, Ranboo was under the covers with his hand over his eyes, blocking out the light coming from the window. They laid the pills and water on the bedside table and then closed the curtains.

“Take those, it’ll help.” They said, sitting on the edge of the bed. He nodded slightly and grabbed the pills and water, downing the both somewhat quickly. He laid back down with a groan, closing his eyes. They quickly kissed his burning forehead, not caring if they got sick themselves, and stood up. “Rest up. I’ll just be in the other room.”

With all the strength he could muster, he clutched their wrist in his hand. “Don’t. Lay down with me.” He demanded in a soft voice. They rolled their eyes with a smile and pulled back the covers on the other side of him, laying down beside him. His mood seemed to increase knowing they were beside him. They kissed his cheek as he was slowly drifting off, their own eyes beginning to close. “Thank you, love.” He muttered.

They smiled. “You’re welcome, hon.” Y/N said back. When Ranboo’s Mom returned from her errands, the sight of her son and significant other made her smile lightly and shut the door.

Triggering Content ~ I write triggering content like depression, anxiety, etc to a certain extent. I won’t go into the gory or gross details of it, & maybe just do headcanons on how they would react, for example. I do write abused!reader, just not inside the pairing (ex. Abusive!Dahyun x Reader).
