He gave a nod at her suggestion. He began to follow after her, taking his time as he walked to examine each building in detail, letting it all seep in. He placed his hands in his deep pockets, turning to her with a smile, "So you've yet to explore all of this town? Interesting. There's much to explore, then?"
“Hm…well, the best bet is to start in the town’s shopping district and work our way through.” She suggested after a moment of thought. This town did have plenty to offer, and there were still parts of the town she had yet to explore. However, she figured it would be a wise idea to start with the familiar places first before she began to explore the unknown spots. “The district is where many people here start in learning about the time since it has everything we need. Who knows, we might even discover something new when we branch out to the other areas.”
She removed her hand from her hip and gestured him to follow her. “Come. I know we’re almost there so we’ll just go ahead and check it out.”

He was surprised at how enthusiastic the girl was; most he'd met had been quick to call out his flirtatious tendencies or give him the cold shoulder flat out-- perhaps a simple greeting was the best approach. "Rydia," he tested the name on his lips before nodding, "Yes, good to meet you as well. Tell me, where did you come from? Your hair is too exotic for Ivalice. Not that it's a bad thing, of course."
Tumblr media
“I am! Hi there!” Her excitement for meeting a new, friendly face was practically palpable, especially after she’d come across Kefka who had been nothing but rude, disrespectful, and above all, creepy. Her own hand extended and latched onto his loosely, giving it an ecstatic shake before she released him and latched her arms together behind her back. “I’m Rydia! It’s nice to meet you.”

His smug grin turned to that of a blank expression, his eyes watching her as she spoke, listening closely to her tale. "Your boyfriend, no doubt? If it weren't I'd fear for the one that is yours-- your voice is filled with concerned for this Squall." He gave a shrug, "If he'd gone on a mission, I'd think him strong enough to handle it. I'd not worry to much."
She turned her head towards him with a slight smile, dragging her foot horizontally on the pavement. Softly, Rinoa spoke, “I’m looking for Squall. He went on a mission and told me not to come after him but it’s been a long time and I’m worried. No one knows I left.”

"Ah, I see. Interesting enough, I suppose." His smug grin grew at her suggestion, "I'd be happy to, the best madhu you've ever tasted! That is, only, if you've the gil to pay-- half price, of course." He'd be mad to give away his imported goods for free, even if he was trying to 'charm' her.
She smiled, waving her hand in a dismissive gesture.  “Not quite.  I own a restaurant, but I do both the cooking and the bartending, so in a way, yeah, I am,” she said cocking her hip as she smiled proudly.  “A bar, huh?  That’s pretty cool.  I’d need to check it out and have you make me a drink sometime.”

If you've noticed by then that I haven't posted a reply to one of your threads, please inform me via ask and I'll reply ASAP! With a slight sigh, Tomaj placed his hands upon his hips, eyes casting to the ground. Perhaps he'd never get the information he truly wanted around the town--, but the kid he had some good ideas.
He raised his head once more, a slow grin coming to play on his lips once again. He nodded, "A good idea, that. But which to ask?" Tomaj thought he was pretty good at dealing with moogles, but as he looked around there were some from Ivalice and some that looked completely different from the others. He glanced at them one by one, hoping to find one that looked the most knowledgeable about the town.
Sora’s grin faded and was replaced by a questioning purse of the lips. He shook his head and replied, “No, I don’t, unfortunately. In fact, I’m not entirely sure I know anyone that does…”
As soon as he finished that sentence he realized that he may in fact know where the locals might be. Smiling again at the taller male, he continued, “But maybe the Moogles might know!”

"A traveler? I envy you. My work mostly keeps me cooped up, though, by chance, in my first travels in awhile I find myself here." He shrugged, "Vector? Can't say I've heard of it. My apologizes though. A homeland destroyed-- it's happened in Ivalice once or twice." Another shrug came, along with the slightest hint of a frown on the brunette's lips.
Tumblr media
Obvious? She wondered how, though she imagined it was a mixture of her clothing and how absolutely befuddled she probably looked. This place was doing nothing but waning on her navigational skills with each passing moment and it irritated her. Still, his own homeland was one she didn’t recognize by ear. Ivalice? What a foreign name. “I’m mostly a traveler, though my homeland is ruined. It was formerly a place called Vector, however.”

"Afraid not. And I'm afraid I haven't found anyone native to it either. Though, I have become accustomed to it. Perhaps if you need to get somewhere I could point you in the right direction." Usually Tomaj would ask for a fee for his services, but lately he'd been kind to the passer-bys of the town. Maybe the new town was softening him up. Or, perhaps, he was just unintentionally persuaded to wave the fees by all the beautiful women he'd been meeting as of late.
“I am,” she responded, offering the man a soft smile.“My name is Lenne,” she said mimicking his slight nod. Lenne was still getting used to the different customs here, people seemed to think her bowing was overly formal, a bit odd even. “Do you live in this town?” she asked the stranger. Though the town was much smaller the the cities she was used to, Lenne was still managing to get lost.

"I know how I got here, but I'm afraid it wasn't exactly on my map of directions-- I was out looking for a caravan I was expecting when, suddenly, I ended up here. Funny, that." He cocked a brow, glancing around the town as the other did before his eyes stopped on her, "How did you end up in this Moogletown?"
“Slightly worrying,” she said to herself aloud, looking around at the tiny town. “Some people say they came here on their own, but others…aren’t too sure.”

"Only adapting myself, you could say. Though," his grin turned smug grin, "I am used to adjusting to my surroundings very well, and at a fast pace too. But I am open to any secrets you may hold of this little town."
“Mm, I’ve been here for awhile,” Ven replied, hands rising to clasp his hands behind his head.  ”Can’t say I’m from here, though, if that’s what you mean.  Just learning to adapt, I guess.”  Letting his hands fall back to his sides, he propped them on his hips.  ”I take it you’re new ‘round here?”

"Good to meet you then, Noel." He gave a curt nod, his arms dropping to his side once more. "Don't suppose you're from this tiny town we've all come accustomed to-- where might you be from, then?"
When Serah told him there were many new faces around this town, Noel hadn’t expected to be meeting people on a daily basis. And yet, that was exactly what happened. Not that he minded; meeting new people excited him. “Noel Kreiss,” he answered, leaning forward slightly to take the other’s outstretched hand.

"Ah," he shifted somewhat awkwardly, all his weight falling to his left foot, "A shame, that. Injury never is a fun matter. Potions leaving you down and out? I know a guy who's potions eliminate that. Perhaps I could point you in the right direction." Tomaj never was one to put down a potential sale.
“Heh…”  The other’s slight confusion was understandable, if not somewhat amusing.  A small, almost apologetic smile touched Ace’s lips and he gave Tomaj a single nod.  ”I was out on a mission and came back with an injury.  The nurses wouldn’t let me out of the infirmary,” he replied, almost sheepish.  ”…I’m alright now, though perhaps still a bit out of it from the last potion they gave me.”

His smile grew, somewhat pleased at her wondering eyes on his attire. He always appreciated good tastes. He nodded, "Of course. I'm never one to deny a question of such a beautiful lady."
She had been caught staring yet again. Something about the fabric his garbs were made out of caught her eye. The bright colors and exotic hue of his skin made her realize he wasn’t from these parts and must have hailed from somewhere sunny. Putting her hand in his she smiled. “Ah~ Hello i am Rem Tokimiya. Pleasure to meet you Tomaj. May i ask a question though?”

caligo-imperatrix stared following you
It was the second woman he'd seen with green hair, but it was still relatively surprising to him. None-the-less, he approached her with an effortless smile, that usually happened when he found someone attractive. "You're new also? My, so many new faces I've yet to see," he offered her his hand, "Name's Tomaj."

"I do not reside here, no. Only visiting, you could say. I, myself, am from Ivalice." He naturally leaned to the side, all his weight donning on his right foot. He placed a careful hand on his right hip before smiling, "And yourself? You're not from here, that much is obvious."
Tumblr media
The greeting was unexpected, though simple and formal enough; the smile that graced the other’s features spurred on a polite one of her own, a nod preceding her return of the offer. “Celes Chere, it’s a pleasure. Are you from here or elsewhere?”
