The worst illiterate is the political illiterate
“The worst illiterate is the political illiterate, he doesn’t hear, doesn’t speak, nor participates in the political events. He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics. The imbecile doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”

Guwahati Incident
Here is what happened in Guwahati..
1. In Guwahati, a reporter from a Congress leader owned TV channel & his Youth Cong buddy pick up a fracas with a young girl at a pub
2. They instigate crowds then call their TV channel.
3. A large number of locals gather and start brutalizing the girl
4. The TV crew arrived and continued filming, at one point removing the locks of the girl from in front of her face for better shots
5. A courageous local daily editor stops and helps the girl, also calls the cops.
6. Upon reaching home, this daily editor is shocked that live footage from the scene still showing the attacker at it and preventing police from taking away the girl.
7. News Live continued to exploit the footage (heavily edited) for several days, NO action is taken by police.
8. Video goes viral. A national outcry starts which leads to arrest of ONLY FOUR of the perps.
9. Assam Congress whisks away the girl, News Live continues to spread rumors about her being a divorcee etc.
10. With the girl safely away and a friendly NCW team, the whole incident is sanitized and served in hot tasty proportions palatable for people who have largely lost their conscience and can not digest the truth.

Shame on You Madam!

This woman is the worst thing ever to happen to the Office of the President of India
Everything she’s touched in the past five years has turned to ashes
From the day she set foot in Rashtrapati Bhavan, Patil seems to have embarked on a singular mission to milk the taxpayer to the extent her capacity, ingenuity, and family “advice” affords her. First, her extended family trooped into the Presidential house and had it “renovated” at the cost of a few crores. Then, within two years, she did a performance appraisal on herself and announced a 300% salary hike for herself as well as to the Vice President. This is apart from the Rs. 22.5 crores allocated by the government for the upkeep of the President. Needless, this 22.5 crores doesn’t cover the expenses of maintaining the President’s extended family. That comes from the taxpayer’s pocket, too. But there’s more.
At the time when the economy-wreckers of Patil’s party redefined poverty at Rs. 32 per day, Pratibha “James Bond” Patil got herself an armoured Mercedes that cost Rs. 6 Crores. About a year after that, her son Rao Saheb Shekhawat was summoned to the police station to explain the Rs. 1 crore cash that was found in his car on the eve of civic elections in Maharashtra. He “explained” that it was meant for the poor but we know it was the cash for votes business as usual. Patil followed this up with an even bigger feat: of spending Rs. 205 Crores on her various foreign trips, leaving all her predecessors light years behind.

You Don’t Live in the World You Were Born Into
I thought this was appropriate to start the new year.
We all have the tendency to believe that we are living in a very advanced technological period. We get all excited about the new tech we got at Xmas and what we read about that will soon be available to us. In reality, everything we are excited about today is going to be incredibly old and boring much faster than we ever expect.
No matter what year you were born, by the time you finish(ed) high school, its (was) a completely different world. Today’s high school seniors were born prior to the World Wide Web, wireless internet, smartphones, tablets, HDTVs and changes in world politics that were never imagined. Without question each of us can remember the things that were new and exciting to us when we were kids, that were unimaginable to our parents, but are now nothing more than old memories.
The rate of technological change is not slowing down. In fact, the argument could be made that it is speeding up. In our lifetimes, we will reach a point when we reflect back on the good old days of the internet, Facebook, Twitter and other tech that is ubiquitous today. We might even look back at digital the way we currently look at analog. Things change.
Of course, this isn’t a problem. It’s a huge opportunity. There is that 12 year old that is imagining what we can’t. Another that is combining elements into something new we should have seen, but did not. It reminds me of one of my favorite sayings. “If you are looking where everyone else is for the next big thing, you are looking in the wrong place”
The reality is, None of us are born in to the world we live in
by Mark Cuban
