Disney Releases Live-Action "Kim Possible" Trailer
The first trailer for Disney’s upcoming live-action Kim Possible remake is finally here! Disney released the official sneak peek via YouTube on December 7, and here’s the sitch: it’s incredible, whether you grew up with Kim Possible and her crew of friends, or are brand new to the franchise.
The Kim reboot stars Sadie Stanley, who sports Kim’s signature long red hair. She’s just a regular high school girl who happens to also be a superhero, and together with her friends on Team Possible — including her BFF Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone) and her naked mole rat Rufus (who is sadly absent from the trailer) — she figures out the ins and outs of teenagerhood while protecting Earth from evil villains Drakken and Shego. Casual!
“So, a few years ago, I accidentally received a distress call. I was done with my homework, so I answered it. Now, well, I save the world. Who am I? I’m Kim Possible,” she says in the opening scenes of the trailer, which are cut with tons of high-octane action and crime-fighting. (At one point, Kim literally crashes into one of her classes.) Hey, that’s what happens when you’re a superhero who also has to make it to algebra.
Fans have been clamoring for a live-action Kim Possible remake for a while; the original Disney cartoon ran from 2002 to 2007. Some were hoping Bella Thorne would eventually be cast as Kim, which the actress was “so down” for. Once the official reboot was announced in February of 2018, many hoped Riverdale star Madelaine Petsch — another iconic redhead — would step into Kim’s crime-fighting shoes. However, Sadie Stanley was ultimately cast as Kim, and Madelaine even sent her an encouraging DM about her new role. Judging from the trailer, Sadie is more than ready to take on such a beloved role.
The new Kim Possible is set to debut on Disney Channel on February 15, 2019, so we don’t have long to wait to see Kim and her friends in action. We just have one question: Who’s going to remake the theme song, and will they change “call me, beep me” to “snap me, text me” for 2019?

Converse Renew Denim Chuck 70 Collection
August 07, 2019 - Releasing for the summer’s premier global basketball tournament in China, Jordan Brand is launching a footwear pack that includes four silhouettes: the new Jordan Jumpman Diamond, the Air Jordan XXXIII SE, the Air Jordan IV and the Air Jordan XII.
Jordan Jumpman Diamond
The Jordan Jumpman Diamond, the brand’s latest performance shoe and a collaborative effort between Tinker Hatfield and the Jordan Brand design team, carries a white, red and gold color palette and features an upper revealing the flag markings of the participating nations. Embodied on the inside of the tongue is the phrase “For the Love of the Game” in English.
"In designing the shoe, we were talking with Tinker about how you offer something with a certain attitude that still carries purposefulness," says David Cin, Senior Design Director for Jordan Brand Performance Footwear. "Tinker was looking for density in the frame where you need it most during gameplay."
The Jordan Jumpman Diamond releases August 8 in Greater China.
Air Jordan XXXIII SE
The collection’s Air Jordan XXXIII SE pairs white and gold colors with flag markings on the upper. Chinese characters spell “Love The Game” on the inside of the tongue.
"The FastFit technology of the Air Jordan XXXIII took us to a new place in how we could contain, and at the same time, how we could simplify," says Cin.
The Air Jordan XXXIII SE releases August 22 in Greater China.
Air Jordan IV
The silhouette is covered in a dominate hue of crimson and contrasting details in navy blue. The original mesh-filled cutouts of the Air Jordan IV are replaced with graphics inspired by the national flags from the participants of the tournament.
"The 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan IV is happening this year, and we wanted to celebrate that moment in the collection," says Cin.
The Air Jordan IV releases September 1 in Greater China.
Air Jordan XII
The Air Jordan XII is treated with the collection’s color scheme, while the national flag element is embossed on the lateral side panel of the shoe. The five Chinese characters meaning “Love The Game” read below the heel strap.
"The silhouette stands out in the pack as it was the first Jordan Brand game shoe to release in Greater China," says Cin. "The gold ties to the idea of playing for medals and trophies — achieving the same things that MJ achieved."
The Air Jordan XII releases August 24 in Greater China.

"To All the Boys I've Loved Before" Director Says a Sequel Is in the Works
It's been several months since To All the Boys I've Loved Before hit Netflix and turned a lot of us into thirsty Peter Kavinsky stans and Lara Jean disciples. Understandably, fans are already ready for a sequel to the now-beloved first film — and it looks like one might be around the corner.
On November 27, TATBILB's director, Susan Johnson, seemed to endorse reports that the sequel is happening in a post on Instagram. She shared a photo of a Collider article reporting the news, with the caption, "Well, the cat’s out of the bag! Thanks for the support, everyone!!! It’s all you!"
Earlier that day, The Hollywood Reporter shared that Paramount and Netflix were in discussions about a sequel, which some outlets took as an official confirmation of the news.
Teen Vogue had reached out to Netflix to confirm the news following THR's report on Tuesday, and, at that time, Netflix said that the sequel news was not yet official and still in discussions. Whether or not the movie is officially a go yet, it seems extremely likely it will be a thing in the future, given the intense fandom that sprung up around the film and its stars (and the fact that it's adapted from a three-book series by Jenny Han).
If the sequel is officially happening, it probably means Lana Condor and Noah Centineo will return to our screens as power couple Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky.
Until Netflix gives the official word, we'll be over here imagining the antics Anna Cathcart's Kitty Covey can get into in a sequel.

Camila Mendes and Maggie Rogers: A Complete Friendship Timeline From NYU to "Riverdale" and "Heard It in a Past Life"
Camila Mendes and Maggie Rogers are undoubtedly #FriendshipGoals. From meeting in college to finding simultaneous worldwide success, Teen Vogue’s May and June cover stars, respectively, have a long history together.
We may not see them together often —you know, with Cami’s busy filming schedule for the CW’s hit show Riverdale in Vancouver and Maggie taking over the music industry with a world tour — but these two are birds of a feather. To celebrate their long-standing friendship, we took a look at the duo’s best moments on their friendship timeline.
Circa 2012: The pair meet at NYU
Cami and Maggie's paths first crossed when they both enrolled in New York University. Like Lady Gaga, Childish Gambino, and costar Cole Sprouse, Cami attended the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts for acting, while Maggie studied music at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.
“Cam and I actually met our freshman year of college,” Maggie told Clash earlier this year about the pair’s first encounter. “We've been best friends since, and it's crazy 'cuz our lives have changed very drastically together. Our friendship is really tight. It's cool that we've experienced this ride together.”
2016: Graduation and launch to success
In 2016, while still a senior at NYU, Maggie caught the attention of none other than Pharrell Williams with the demo for her song “Alaska.”
At the same time, before their graduation in May, the world was getting ready for a lil’ series called Riverdale and the onscreen version of the silver-tongued Veronica Lodge, which would become Cami’s first major acting gig.
"When I booked Riverdale, it was right when that Pharrell video went viral,” Camila told Refinery 29 in 2018. "She [Maggie] was meeting with all these labels. Both of our lives transformed really quickly. It was right around the time when I was graduating, and it was nice to have this person to experience that with in college.”
August 2016: Getting ready for Riverdale
Gearing up to Riverdale’s official premiere, Cami landed in Nylon, the first of many magazine features, and Maggie enthusiastically celebrated the occasion on Twitter. “THAS MAH GRRRL,” she proudly tweeted referring to the Cami feature, to which Cami responded with an adorable “NAH U MA GURL” alongside a mischievous devil emoji. If that ain’t goals...
February 2017: Cami supports Maggie’s video for “On+Off”
When Maggie unveiled the video for “On+Off,” Camila couldn’t help but share on Twitter how proud of her she was. “The homie strikes again, amazing video,” she wrote, retweeting Maggie’s post.
April 2017: Maggie becomes a self-confessed Veronica Lodge stan
With Riverdale now in full swing, Maggie joined the legions of fans binge-watching the CW series and made sure to let all her followers know where her loyalties lie.
“Saturday, late night, delivery on the way, dipping back into @CW_Riverdale, and dang @CamilaMendes, do yo thang. couldn't be more proud ahyew,” Maggie tweeted.
Cami was busy filming in Vancouver and unable to binge-watch with Maggie, but distance ain’t got nothing on these two. “Luv you sm,” Camila tweeted in response. “It's like we're hanging out through a television screen.” Because, even if separated physically, besties who binge together, stay together.
August 2018: “Give A Little” Music Video
After ample teasing on social media, Cami and Maggie starred together in the summer-friendly music video for “Give A Little” in August 2018. And, tbh, almost a year later, we’re still thinking about those moves.
October 2018: SNL announces Maggie as its musical guest
On October 14, 2018, Saturday Night Live took to Twitter to announce its upcoming host and musical guest combo, Jonah Hill and Maggie Rogers, and Cami was quick to show her excitement for her BFF’s latest feat:

Look To The Stars For The Perfect Engagement Ring For Your Zodiac Sign
With so many cuts, sizes, diamonds, gemstones, settings, bands & jewelers available these days it can be hard to know where to start when engagement ring shopping. If you’re lost in the dizzying array of sparkling jewels – why not look to the stars?
If you’re like us, you probably can’t resist a little astrology matching when it comes to shopping & fashion, so we were delighted when The Diamond Reserve & Ada Diamonds teamed up for a little astrology reading to find you the best engagement rings for your zodiac sign.
So we have to ask you, what’s your sign?
From Kaeleigh Testwuide of The Diamond Reserve:
Earth Signs – Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus
Those with the Earth sign are known for keeping it real. They’re usually very grounded and stable people. They are practical but can be materialistic. When searching for an engagement ring for Earth Zodiac signs, you should think timeless, and focus most of your budget into the center diamond to get them the biggest and best diamond that fits your budget. Stick with the classic and regal shapes; round, emerald cut, and the oval, and keep a close eye on the quality of the diamond to ensure your significant other only sees sparkle and beauty!
Nothing is more timeless and classic as the round brilliant diamond set in a six prong solitaire setting! This setting allows you to put nearly your entire budget into the center diamond, allowing you to capitalize on size and quality of the center diamond. This engagement ring will never go out of style, the perfect fit for the grounded Earth signs.
This oval diamond set with tapered baguettes is a regal and timeless engagement ring look. The oval cut diamond faces up nice and big per its carat weight, giving a big look! Tapered baguettes accent the center diamond subtly, but never taking the show away from the center oval diamond.
Fire Signs – Aries, Sagittarius, Leo
Those with the fire sign are known for being very passionate yet temperamental individuals. They have good intentions – Being loved and giving love is one of the fire signs’ highest regards in life. When engagement ring shopping for the Fire Zodiac signs, remember that this is the only element that shines, so think extra sparkle. The sparkliest of all the diamond shapes are the round-cut diamond – brilliant! Other extra sparkly shapes include the cushion and radiant cut.
Talk about extra sparkle! A round brilliant diamond set in a 2D cushion halo with a split band will give off fire from every single angle! This setting style will hold tight every little detail of your love story, giving your fire sign every bit of confidence to say “YES!” when you pop THE question.
Show your love by proposing with the ever so sparkly cushion cut diamond! The cushion cut diamond is known for having so much luster, perfect for your fire sign! Be sure to consider if your significant other would like their cushion cut to be square or more rectangular shape. This unique yet timeless cushion will show your fire sign your willingness to take risks, yet trust in your life’s journey with them!
From Kelly Villarreal of Ada Diamonds:
Water Signs – Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Intuitive and emotional, water signs can be as powerful as the ocean itself. When looking for the perfect ring for a water sign, think bold & romantic. This ring will not just mean a traditional gesture, but a permanent mark of your love and will forever give them a sense of security.
The anything-but-subtle, water signs will definitely love something bold and different! A custom design like this opal halo ring, made with lab-grown diamonds, is sure to delight.
For the artistic and romantic pieces, we love the graceful sophistication of an Oval Four Prong Pavé setting, featuring an oval center lab diamond, and a pavé band that shines as brightly as they do.
Air Signs – Libra, Aquarius, Gemini
If we could describe those under the air sign in one word it would be “The Non-Conformist” Air signs make up their own style and beat to the rhythm of their own drum. They’re great communicators and have a knack for storytelling, so in picking the perfect engagement ring for them we want you to think non-conventional & dynamic.
For the true altruist air sign, an ethically sourced lab-grown diamond is a perfect choice. We’d recommend a stunning solitaire, like a Classic Four Prong Solitaire.
A ring that combines several different styles and lots of visual-appeal is the way to go for the multifaceted personality of an air sign. We love a Three-Sided Pavé setting featuring a fancy yellow lab-grown diamond, in a two-tone white and yellow gold setting, with a three-sided diamond band.
Need more engagement ring inspiration? Match this astrological advice with 14 stunning engagement rings you can buy on Etsy, or find a stellar deal with these 20 sparkling engagement rings under $1,000 (yes, it’s true!)

Jaclyn Hill Preps Her Skin With a $500 Moisturizer and $200 Primer
Jaclyn Hill subscribes to the same philosophy as so many other makeup artists: Makeup looks so much better on skin that's treated well. In a recent interview with People, she explains that, for her, that means exfoliating up to four times a week, using hydrating masks, and prepping skin for makeup with a great moisturizer and primer. If you pick the moisturizer and primer she does, however, you may end up making a pretty significant dent in your bank account.
"I am very dry and I use a lot of pharmaceutical-grade skin care that I get from my aesthetician," she told People. "But I will say I am obsessed with the La Mer Soft Cream. I have been using it for close to two years. It’s my favorite moisturizer ever."
La Mer's The Moisturizing Soft Cream is a version of the brand's iconic Crème De La Mer aimed at dry and combination skin, and it's no less expensive than the original formula. Promising "beautifully glowing radiance" and skin that "looks naturally vibrant, restored to its healthiest center," a 3.4-ounce jar of The Moisturizing Soft Cream will run you $490. Luckily, there's a half-ounce version available for $85 — a price that's still nothing to sneeze at, but significantly less expensive than Hill's favorite primer, Sisley Paris Double Tenseur Moisturizing Gel.
"It has the perfect amount of tackiness so your makeup grabs onto it like glue," she says of the $192 formula. "Everyone I’ve recommended it to, no matter what their skin type is, they all say it is amazing." And for Hill to recommend any primer — let alone one so expensive — is a pretty big deal considering she used to consider it a gimmick. "I thought moisturizer was more than enough, but now I am definitely 100-percent pro-primer," she told People.
Sisley Paris
If you're comfortable purchasing pricey moisturizer and primer, awesome — more power to you. But there are, of course, plenty of amazing moisturizers and trusty primers that are far less expensive. And not everything Hill recommends for your beauty routine will make a major dent in your wallet — her new makeup brush collection, for example, is arguably quite affordable. The 24 brushes are available as a set called The Master Collection for $165, which sounds like a lot, but when you consider that means each brush comes to about $7 — not even counting the case — then it's really quite the bargain.

Moody Industrial Wedding Inspiration
There’s nothing we love more than watching a bare space be transformed to reach its fullest potential, and this styled shoot done at lush Australian venue is no exception. This creative collaboration took place at a private property with the most glorious industrial shed and an even better view! From the tablescape lit by soaring marsala tapers and hanging Edison bulbs, to the dessert display with a trio of fruit-adorned cakes, it doesn’t get much better than this. (Though they even outdo themselves with that blackberry ice-cream cart!) This moody industrial wedding inspiration is fit for a statement-making couple, and we hope you enjoy this utterly divine soiree.
Here, Figtree Pictures does it yet again! Their expertise in capturing the most romantic and memorable moments goes unmatched.
Designed by Little Gray Station, this styled editorial is dramatic in all the right ways- its color, scenery, and vibe all have us feeling the passion in this shoot.
Alstonville Florist created the most drop-dead-gorgeous floral installations for this exhibition. We could lay under their canopy of florals, reading love stories all day long.
Watercolor stationery from Cleverhand added a playful, whimsical flair to this otherwise moody and dramatic shoot.
From the designer, Little Gray Station: The Camellia Weddings shoot would have to be one of our favorites so far. Every element of the shoot, from the florals right down to the place cards, all worked in so perfectly with this beautiful venue. The setting we created at the venue is vibrant and bold, with a rich, moody colour palette contrasted with soft textures, unstructured florals, and watercolour calligraphy. Bright tones of marsala and indigo are carried throughout all elements of the shoot, adding a burst of colour amongst the organic elements of timber and greenery.
The new purpose-built shed has an almost industrial feeling with concrete floors and steel beams, so we showcased this with black wire furniture, hairpin leg tables, gold cutlery, charcoal plateware, raw timber bench seating and drop down Edison bulb lighting. The tablescape is loose and organic with a trailing off-centre floral arrangement and scattered tapered candles in tones of marsala. All of the details come together to create a striking and dramatic shoot that we are super proud of, with our amazing team of suppliers on board.
The long sleeve lace gown from Karen Willis Holmes is classic with a modern spin. The front slit gives it an updated look and unexpected feature.
With such lush and vibrant greenery as a backdrop, we wanted to use bold and rich colours that would complement the surroundings. We were also inspired by the current climate as we head into the cooler months, which is reflected in our colour palette of marsala, indigo and berry tones, and in the details like the faux sheepskin rug and warm lighting – it came to be a very luxe winter inspired shoot. All of our incredible suppliers absolutely nailed the brief and it was so rewarding to see it all come together on the day – we think the images speak for themselves!

Not Every Miscarriage Results in Grief, and That’s OK
Seven years ago, I had a miscarriage. Somewhere between eight and 10 weeks into the pregnancy, I started spotting. I knew that light bleeding wasn't always a bad sign during early pregnancy, but I did know that it could signal a miscarriage. I felt nervous. I think I cried a little.
I was out of state for my nephew’s baptism, but when I returned a couple days later, the ultrasound at my doctor’s office confirmed there was no heartbeat. I don’t remember my emotional reaction. I got in a cab and went to work. A half hour after finding out my unborn baby had died, I was editing magazine copy. A few days later, I went for my D&C. I told colleagues I was having “a medical procedure.”
I didn’t feel numb. I just didn’t feel much of anything. The worst part was answering questions from family members asking if I was OK…because I was OK, and this fact in itself made me feel guilty.
I felt weird for not crying more. I felt evil for not being more upset, particularly knowing that other women struggle to get pregnant in the first place. How dare I not be more affected by what had happened to me, if only to honor these other women’s experiences?
I hadn’t really thought much about the whole thing in years, until I got an email from the intimates company Knix, about the launch of their #FacesofFertility campaign to mark Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, today, October 15. As the memory of my miscarriage resurfaced, so did the guilt. When I read or hear about other women’s miscarriage experiences, it’s predominantly stories of emotional wreckage. You rarely hear about this other side of the reaction coin—the indifference I’d felt.
Am I the only one who’s felt this way? Am I an anomaly? Am I actually evil? No. Women’s feelings toward miscarriage are extremely varied, psychologist Rayna Markin, Ph.D., associate professor in counseling at Villanova University, tells SELF. Sometimes the grief is immediate and profound. Other times, it doesn’t surface for weeks, months, or years. Many times, it comes in and out, like a wave.
Although general openness about miscarriage has increased over the past few years, Markin, who specializes in counseling related to infertility and pregnancy loss, believes there remains a certain taboo in talking about it. Because of this, “we really don’t know [how others deal with it] because we have nothing to compare it to,” Markin says. “You wonder, ‘Is this a normal reaction? Is this not something people have?’ In that way it can be really isolating.”
She also explains that a woman’s reaction after a miscarriage can be related to how attached she felt to the baby. “Often times, women can, not purposely, but can distance themselves from the baby when they anticipate a loss, as a way of protecting themselves,” she says. “We see that a lot when women are pregnant after miscarriage, that during [the new] pregnancy, it can be hard for the woman to bond with the baby because she’s worried about losing that baby.”
But why would I not feel attached? I wanted that baby, and I hadn’t had a previous miscarriage. Perhaps it was because I already had one child? My son was 3 years old at the time. I do think I would have been much more distressed had this been my first pregnancy; I’m sure I’d have blamed my body for “malfunctioning” and feared I was incapable of carrying a child to term.
Could this be the reason for my blah-ness, I ask Markin? Do women who have kids typically feel less distraught about a miscarriage? “In my clinical experience, I wouldn’t say one is worse than the other,” she answers. “But when you don’t have children already, many women worry, ‘will I ever be able to have a child’?”
I did go on to get pregnant again, a year after the miscarriage. I had another boy, who is now 5.
In dredging up these feelings about my miscarriage, a new thought, a new version of guilt, emerged: If I had birthed that baby, the one I miscarried, I likely wouldn’t have my youngest son—my precocious, sweet-toothed, dancing little soul.
I can’t imagine what my life would be like without him. I remember telling my husband shortly after his birth that I felt he had really completed our family. Now, even thinking about the baby I miscarried feels like a betrayal to my son.
“There can be this fear that, as a parent, you’re replacing one baby with another,” Markin says. “I think it’s more helpful to think of subsequent children after loss as siblings to that baby that was lost rather than as a replacement. That allows you, as a parent, to love one child while also grieving another.”
But, at the time, I wasn’t grieving the other child, I think to myself, still unclear as to why I felt like I did seven years ago.
The reason starts to unfold as I’m on the phone with David Diamond, Ph.D., associate professor in the clinical Psy.D. program at Alliant International University and co-founder of the Center for Reproductive Psychology in San Diego. He asks if responding with restrained emotions—as I did after the miscarriage—is a “characteristic style” for me. Hardly. I am the queen of strong emotions. This reaction was, in fact, completely uncharacteristic.
He begins to explain the concept of a “lifelong reproductive story,” one that we all have. “You start to think consciously or unconsciously early in life about whether you’ll have kids or not, what your life will be like, and sometimes that’s not at the forefront of your mind, but the seeds get sewn early on,” he says. Each part of your reproductive story gives context to the other parts.
So I tell him about another part of my story, the birth of my first son. As soon as he was born—after 62 hours of labor followed by an induction—10 doctors rushed in. I never got to hold him. He was whisked away, and later, my husband told me our baby’s body was gray, and he thought that he was dead. Our baby stayed in the NICU for two weeks, covered with EEG electrodes to monitor the seizures he was having. “Why are you crying? He’s very, very handsome,” the technician said to me as I stood over his NICU bassinet, tears rolling down my cheeks.
Despite an uncomplicated pregnancy, my baby had had an in utero stroke, which they could pinpoint only to the four days before birth or during birth. He had bilateral brain damage, they said. He might have cerebral palsy, they said. He might never walk, they said. They didn’t really know what would happen—we’d just have to wait and see.
I didn’t even know babies could have strokes, but mine did. (According to the Children’s Hemiplegia and Stroke Association, 1 in 2,800 babies have what’s called a “perinatal stroke.”) I left the hospital with an empty car seat.
I swung into a serious postpartum depression. For the first four days, I lay on the couch, nauseous, unable to get up and go visit him in the NICU. People sent food, flowers, kind notes, and Dr. Pepper (which I drank by the vat-load then). For the next three years, we visited a neurologist every few months, who assessed our son’s development. “He’s lifting his head when he’s supposed to,” I’d say. “Does that mean everything is going to be ok?” “Now he’s walking—that proves something, right?” The answer was always the same: It’s a good sign, but we wouldn’t really know until the next visit. When we stopped seeing the neurologist, he told us, “I’d be surprised if there are no effects as a result of his birth experience.”
That baby is now 9 years old. He has pure blue eyes, a sprinkling of freckles, and the sweetest demeanor—literally never a bad word for anyone. You would never know what he went through by looking at him or talking to him. He’s an orange belt in karate who can also whoop your ass at Mario Kart and recite every evolution that Pokemons go through, with a sophisticated sense of humor and a fierce defense of his little brother. He does have some learning delays, so he attends a special ed class for reading and math, works with a tutor, and receives OT services at school. Occasionally he’ll get a physical tick, where he repeatedly moves his arm or his head in one direction, but they typically disappear within a month.
Doctors who see him for routine medical appointments, when told of his birth history, call him a miracle. I do believe he is a miracle. And I feared, in those first couple years after his birth, that if I got pregnant again, the same thing would happen…only this time we wouldn’t get another miracle.
I never connected what happened to my first son with my miscarriage response, but Diamond, co-author of Unsung Lullabies: Understanding and Coping With Infertility, sees the link immediately. “Nobody thinks they’re going to have a child with an in utero stroke,” he explains. “You perhaps approach the next pregnancy with that experience, that bad things can happen.”
Even though our son is thriving now, “still, it’s not the way you thought your child-bearing life was going to turn out. So there’s the loss of that sense of how you think it’s supposed to be. Having been through something like that, you might understandably want to have your emotions somewhat in check as you go through this next thing,” Diamond continues. “If you went through a lot when that was going on—it must have been horrible at the time—there’s accumulated trauma.” (My eyes well up.) “That’s one part of your reproductive story. When we look at your whole story, that first part is what we call a reproductive trauma.”
So the guilt I felt…and still feel—first, for not reacting passionately to the miscarriage, then in thinking about what the miscarriage meant in relation to my youngest son—is actually not that surprising of a reaction.
“Things mean different things to different people. And the meaning of things changes after a while,” Diamond says. “Later you have these other feelings, ‘well, if I had had that child, I wouldn’t have this child.’ It’s helpful to let people know that guilt and shame and other reactions are not abnormal in any way.”
There I have it…clarity. It feels strange.
And it’s sent me into an emotional tailspin. My husband and I talk about whether it’s OK to share this story about our first son so publicly—will other kids use it one day to taunt him? But we come to the conclusion that it’s nothing to be ashamed about, and that what it actually shows is his incredible ability to keep trying even when things are tougher for him; that the elasticity of the human brain is real; that doctors don’t always know how things will turn out; and that, for other parents who might be dealing with something similar, there is always hope. As a former boss wrote to me right after my first son’s birth, the most important thing for your child is that he’s happy, which both of our sons are.
If you've had a miscarriage or fertility issues—whether you want to speak about it or not—you should know that you are not alone. Knix's campaign aims to help end the stigma. From now through the end of October, the company will donate $1 to Resolve.org in the US and FertilityMatters.ca in Canada for every Instagram post tagged #FacesofFertility. The company has also partnered with Inkbox on two temporary tattoos, for sale on knix.com, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the above charities. One—created by illustrator Mary Purdie, who herself has experienced five miscarriages—shows a plant growing from a cloud with a raindrop, which Purdie says depicts both her grief and sadness but also her strength and personal growth.

Intimate Wedding by Loch Awe with the Bride in a £25 Thrift Store Dress!
For Rachel and Jamie, there was only one way they wanted to say their I do’s… outside, by a Loch, surrounded by the beautiful Scottish countryside. They were married on April 13th 2018 (happy anniversary guys!!) on the shores of Loch Awe, opposite Kilchurn Castle in in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
“We didn’t really have a theme other than wanting it to be simple and do as much of it as we could ourselves”, said Rachel. We wanted the beautiful Scottish backdrop to be the star. Scotland is what inspired us. We visited two years previously, almost to the day, and knew we wanted to get hitched outside (regardless of the unpredictable weather). The land is beautiful and felt very magical once we were there.”
The ceremony was short and intimate with just 30 people there. “We wrote our own vows and had one reading by two of our closest friends (from The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman) I think everything was heightened by the mountains and the castle ruins. Saying our vows (holding back the tears) was my favourite part of the day. Also the hilarious and touching speeches and having a mini photo shoot in the castle grounds.”
In total they spent just £4000. The bride’s beautiful 1970s vintage dress came from a thrift store in Chichester and cost her just £25!! In fact she found it years ago, when they’d only been together for a few months, but loved it so much she bought it then and there! It was perfect for her and didn’t need any alterations. She wore it with Dr Marten boots, a vintage velvet cape (both from eBay) and a faux floral headdress made by Headonistic Headdresses. The bridesmaids were in various vintage blue dresses and Jamie’s suit was €30 from a charity shop in Berlin, which he paired with a waistcoat by Emperor’s Old Clothes.
In terms of decor at their reception venue, Portsonachan Hotel, the couple painted stones to use as place cards, they collected lots of pieces of vintage blue glassware from charity shops and they had dried blue Hydrangea which Rachel sprayed gold. The table runners were made from vintage fabric by Rachel’s mum.
“The best thing about planning our wedding was visualising all the elements coming together and making all our family and friends journey up to Scotland – without them knowing the beautiful location we’d chosen! Getting married in Scotland felt like we had already started our honeymoon. Our advice for other couples would be pick a good location and the rest will follow.”

The New Chapter
How many times have you all seen photos of me sat about in my flat, posing on different piece of furniture? Well this is going to the last time, because tomorrow is the move day. I remember the first ever time I shot in here, when there was hardly and furniture, just one chair, a sofa and a rug. I have lived here for just over 13 months, and it's been the most amazing 13 months of my life. When I moved into this place I thought there would be no way I would be leaving in a years time, mostly because the stress of moving had been so intense it was something I wanted to avoid for at least another two years. But after about 9 months here I started to feel really differently, mostly about how much I wanted an office which would have such a big change on my life. I realise I am talking first world problems here, but working and living in one space has left me finding it harder and harder to ever have some sort of balance or switch off, and those of you who watch my vlogs will know that my bedroom is mostly a wardrobe. So the hunt began for a two bed place, where I can hopefully split up my work and life a little more, have more focus on them both, and generally feel I am in a happier space.
Now like I said, the past year has been the best of my life, and there are so many amazing memories I have from this incredible apartment. I have loved living here, all the features, the furniture I have filled it with - anyone who knows me knows just how much I love it. One thing I think I failed to do was make it feel like a sanctuary. I think it is partly due to travelling so much, I have spent so much time here not fully settling back down because I know I am off again so soon. That combined with finding my way with working for myself and living on my own, which has been a constant cycle of self-motivation that has sometimes overwhelmed me. I have learnt so much from it. In my new place I will always fully unpack, even if I am going somewhere again in two days time. I will make sure my work stays in the office, and doesn't creep into my living room so I can fully relax and actually enjoy an evening on the sofa.
I have experienced more in the last year than I ever imagined in this flat. Nights in with friends getting blind drunk while sat on the sofa, or just days sat watching endless films. I have worked here with amazing creatives and friends, shot so much content and used my home as a reflection of my style in a way I never thought I would be able to. I have spent hours sat on my chairs staring out the window with a cup of tea watching the world go by. I have had many early mornings working and late nights at my desk. I have had days where I have felt so empowered by how much I do on my own, loved my own space and hated anything that compromise it. I have had days where I have felt lonely and lost and tried my best to focus on my work because I don't know where else to put my head. I have walked into here loving the silence after a busy day, I have walked in here resenting the fact that there is no one here to share my day with. I can't tell you the rollercoaster of emotions, only that I have felt more in the past year than I ever have before, and so much of it has taken place in this little flat.
More than anything, it's been a representation of how much I want to pinch myself. When I spent those early teenage years wishing I was older, I don't think I ever imagined my life would look like this, and for that I am so so grateful. I know every time I walk past this flat I will be filled with nostalgia for the year I have lived here, and the year I lived bang slap in the middle of Notting Hill will be something I will love to tell my children about (thankfully I have lots of photos to share with them too).
Once again I feel like I am moving onto a new chapter, which is both daunting and amazing. After a year of huge, huge changes and growth, I really want to create a new space where I feel more settled. I want to create even more amazing memories, work even harder from a new home, and hopefully have a year ahead that tops this one. Living alone is the biggest learning curve I have ever known, it totally highlights your independence but also the points in which you are hugely dependant on others (because I think we all have that). I will miss this place more than I can tell you all, and I keep feeling super teary at the thought of leaving here for good!! but I am so excited for the new chapter, and so thankful to have you all with me for it. I hope it will be even more amazing!

Intimate Destination Wedding Among the Rolling Hills of the Italian Countryside
When you’re in love, you want to show it off. Which is why, when Kristine + Zach fell in love with Italy (and each other, of course), they knew they had to share it with family and friends! A destination wedding began to take shape and beautiful Siena awaited. Here’s what Kristine told us about their inspiration:
After Zach proposed last year in Italy, we knew we wanted to return to the gorgeous Tuscany countryside. Our wedding day was inspired by the beautiful rolling landscape and gorgeous architecture of the villas nestled in between the vines. We knew we wanted both the views and the natural elements of Italy to be the main aesthetic element of the day and our wedding details to accent that.
They kept the wedding intimate and called on Brannan Events & Design to pull off all the design details. Meanwhile, The Poffs came along to document the day—let’s have a look!
The Bride
Kristine wore the gorgeous Alexandra Grecco ‘Lewis’ dress from Lovely Bride and looked every bit the stunner!
Tumbleweed Floral Truck‘s sunny bouquet was the perfect accessory!
First Look + Private Vows
Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding
The most memorable moment had to be after our first look when we shared our personal vows with each other. We opted for sharing our vows privately to keep it intimate between the two of us; it was so special. Thanks to The Poffs' amazing video, our family and friends are able to hear our vows after the wedding day!
K + Z were married at Villa il Noceto, a traditional Tuscan farmhouse in Siena. How beautiful is this place?!
The Ceremony
Our Musical Choices
Processional: Canon in D
Recessional: The Tarnatella
First Dance: Terrafin Sea by Ed Sheeran
The Newlyweds
Aside from how cute these two are, we can’t get over that beautiful foliage!
The Rustic Reception
That sweet banner is by JBG Designs.
What a dreamy setup!!
Thinking of having a destination wedding? Here are some great tips from Kristine:
Wedding days can be stressful and choosing to have a destination wedding adds to the list. There are a lot of factors that come into to play that you wouldn’t think of. It’s important to keep in mind that you won’t be able to control everything that happens. When traveling, think of maybe buying a light dress for comfortable travel and easy day trips. Also, consider having family and friends bring over some of the decor (one of the toughest parts of getting married out of the country!). Last, it is so worth it! If you think a destination wedding is right for you, do it! It will forever be the best and most memorable week of our life!
Just add all the pasta + bread and it’s basically a perfect scenario.
Our Advice To Those Planning Now
If you’re planning a destination wedding, keep in mind what is important and plan from there. For us, our top priority was making sure our guests who flew halfway across the world had a good time. We set up activities during the week for once in a lifetime experiences with our favorite people including excursions and day trips to nearby cities. While the wedding day was about us, we wanted the week to be about them and celebrating that they traveled so far to be with us.
The Poffs captured this lovely video to the tune of K + Z’s sweet vows to each other! Take a look for more from the stunning day. All our congrats to the happy couple!

The Supreme Court Will Allow Youth to Proceed With Climate Change Lawsuit Against the U.S. Government
After a group of young Americans filed a lawsuit that would force the U.S. Government to take action against climate change, the Trump Administration filed a request for the Supreme Court to halt the lawsuit before it reached trial. But according to the Washington Post, the Supreme Court moved in favor of the activists on Friday night, refusing to block the legal process.
Advertisement - Continue Reading Below
Per the WaPo's report, the lawsuit was filed in 2015 by 21 "young people" who argue that their Constitutional right to a clean environment has been violated by the current administration's failure to address climate change.
The suit—which sits before a judge in Oregon—was temporarily delayed while the Supreme Court evaluated the U.S. Government's request. It will now proceed, with the next logical step being the Trump Administration's appeal of the decision (which would send the suit to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit).
Protesters attend a rally outside the U.S. Supreme Court held by the group Our Children’s Trust.

Per the court's three-page-order, the U.S. Government argued that the "suit is based on an assortment of unprecedented legal theories, such as a substantive due process right to certain climate conditions, and an equal protection right to live in the same climate as enjoyed by prior generations."
“We have overcome everything the government has thrown at us. It is not luck."
“We’ve been confident throughout this case that we would get to trial, and I believe we will get to trial,” Julia Olson, the attorney for the youth activists told the Washington Post on the night of the Supreme Court's decision. “We have overcome everything the government has thrown at us. It is not luck. It is the strength of the case and the strength of the evidence and the strength of the legal arguments we are making.” Olson is also the executive director of Our Children's Trust, a youth empowerment group that has been actively protesting outside of the U.S. Supreme Court this past week.
According to Olson, the youth activists plan to file a request to Oregon's district court for a a highly anticipated hearing soon.

The Prettiest (and Easiest) Makeup for Summer
Tumblr media
Makeup for Summer
Here’s a counterintuitive makeup-artist secret: You can use a lot less makeup if you wear brighter colors. Summer—when glowy, healthy skin is more on display—is when this trick is most effective. “Adding sheer, intense color to your eyes, cheeks, or lips is an easy way to brighten your face without wearing much makeup,” says LA makeup artist Jillian Dempsey (famous for her vibrating face bar, another foolproof face-waker-upper). “Bright colors can be really sheer and still enhance your natural glow, so you get that no-makeup makeup look with even less product.”
The easiest way to pull off any color—whether it’s hot pink, deep blackberry, bright poppy, or fiery copper—is to apply it as a whisper, as opposed to a full-on statement with lots of texture. As clean, nontoxic tech has advanced, the new pigments for lips, lids, and cheeks are more beautiful than ever; pick a shade that suits your skin and start experimenting. Applied with restraint, every one of these shades is sexy (for day or night), easy, and gorgeous on absolutely every skin tone.

The idea is a softly invigorated flush, as if you’ve just jogged on the beach and the energy is surging through you. Finishing Touches: Mascara and
a Hydrating Makeup-Setting Mist
Fluttery, shiny, inky lashes are sexy, transformative, and the easiest way to look instantly more rested. (The one from Juice Beauty glides on like a dream and stays put.) Another trick we love for an instant refresh: Spritz on a hydrating face mist to set makeup and to revive it later in the day. The jasmine-infused one from May Lindstrom smells incredible and leaves skin gleamy and nourished.

"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" Clue Hints Sabrina Might Be Related to Madison Montgomery from "AHS"
There's plenty to love about Netflix's Riverdale spinoff, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. But for our money, the best part is probably just how many sly references CAOS makes to famous horror movies like Poltergeist and Rosemary's Baby, the Archie Comics universe, and maybe — just maybe — another favorite horror TV show, American Horror Story.
BuzzFeed recently picked up on a very clever Tumblr post from user windu, who posted side-by-side GIFs of Hilda and AHS's Madison Montgomery. The comparison juxtaposes Hilda's line from episode 1 ("He could've been a movie star if he'd chosen, like cousin Montgomery") where she is telling Sabrina about how handsome her father was, with Madison, who is pictured from her Coven days saying, "Madison Montgomery, movie star."
As BuzzFeed rightly pointed out, the "Montgomery" name check could also be a reference to actor Elizabeth Montgomery, who starred in the hit '60s sitcom Bewitched, thus staying on theme with CAOS's references to classic horror and supernatural shows and movies. It's also the first time CAOS would, in theory, be making a reference to a contemporary TV show — something CAOS rarely does, if ever.
That said, it's certainly tantalizing to think about whether or not CAOS and AHS actually connect. The pieces all seem to fit: both shows feature shady witches, very moody aesthetics, and enough magic to keep viewers hooked. It's not like Madison's possible connection to CAOS is entirely unfounded, you know? We have a feeling a Madison/Sabrina crossover would certainly result in some magical drama.
Until any of the CAOS cast and crew have yet to confirm or deny this intriguing clue, we'll just be over here, thinking about all the possible crossover goodness that could happen if this CAOS and AHS connection ever becomes canon.
