Struggle for Involvement
Neha has provided an excellent perspective on her fight for open-ness and getting credits for lots of fans who contributed. http://nehapatel64.tumblr.com/post/157745397610/krpkab-1-year-anniversary-my-side-on-the-issues
Since I have been talked about, I thought I will speak up and give my perspective. My story is of myself only, and it took place before Neha and the rest of the fandom became involved.
I first thought of this project in January as I wanted to thank Shaheer and Erica for their work. My inspiration was the effort that EDKV fans made to show their love for the show, as well as what Niti Taylor fans did for her.
I had preliminary discussions with my friends like CheeringShahrica and Aruhasta.  As Aruhasta lives in Mumbai, I sought her out first to see if she was willing to go to the set of KRPKAB.  She suggested a fan-meet whereas I was interested in sending them cake and stuff.

On Feburary 14th, I asked CheeringShahrica to write a quick, short proposal that I could share with some in the fandom to see if they are interested in a project like this. I took the proposal to many fans and I formed a  team consisting of _Devakshi, Hafsa, Rohini, Aashi and invited them to a DM group.  I then asked Arushata to join  the group.

Quick details were discussed, some tasks were assigned to various people like figuring out how paypal, paytm would work, image collages, photo frames etc.

A note was prepared to be sent out to the fandom informing them of this initiative and inviting them to donate. I was excluded from the people listed under contacts.  When questioned why, people started blaming me saying that I was making a fuss because I wanted the credit for myself, whereas I was asking to be included in the note so that I can continue being involved in a project that I had been thinking about for months and had initiated.
Eventually after some effort, the name of the account I run, SharicaSquad, was included in the note that was sent out to the fandom.
I brought in another fan, runfromA2A, into the DM group for a short while to help us all with task management.  As she started getting involved, asking questions, providing feedback etc, few in the team did not like it and started DM’ing me privately saying why is she asking these questions.
Pretty soon another DM group was created that excluded me, runfromA2A,  and all discussions were moved to that group, and I was kept in the dark.
When I questioned why no discussions were happening, people said they were busy.
Yet new updates were coming on twitter. Obviously work was being done, but I was excluded from all involvement.
People thought my fight was regarding getting credits. My fight was bigger and different. I wanted involvement in a project that I thought of and initiated.
Ofcourse, I feel happy when people know that the project was my brainchild and I got the effort rolling.
But, I wanted more. I wanted continued involvement in the project. If not involvement, at least visibility into all discussions going on so that I knew where things were headed.
Unfortunately my concerns were dismissed as spreading negativity.
I have posted some screenshots of my initial conversation with my friend Aruhasta to prove that I am not lying, as some say I am.
A lot of people have put in a lot of effort in this project, including the team running it. My story is not an effort to take away any credit from them. My story is to share my perspective on my struggle to stay involved in the project I started.
