He couldn't help but stare at the puppet as he flew away, raising an eyebrow. Rachel and her gender-ambiguous familiars had always severely confused the younger vampire. It was never entirely obvious what exactly they... were. He hummed, before looking over to her.
"You taught me etiquette, Alucard, but you also taught me to fight for my own interest and determination. I am hardly going to sit here and let you patronize me without indeed self defense. I believe I am well within my rights as your equal to protect myself from your onslaught of belittlements."
Maybe she'd taught him a bit too well.
“Oh ? Is that so ? I do think so, however. It would appear you have forgotten your place in the short time-span that I have been away. Have you forgotten who saved you that day ? Maybe I should have left you to die, like the ungrateful puppy that you are.”
~Picking up her cup of tea, she sips before making a face.~
“Gii. This tea has become rather cold. Please see to it that its warm or you shall be punished quite severely.”
Gii :” Y-Yes Princess.”
~The frightened pink bat quickly took the tray away from his Mistress and darted away to get it warmed before he became the object of her displeasure. Again.~

"I have no obligation to 'report' to you, Rachel, what do you take me for, your Subordinate? I ensure you, I am not." He snorted, tilted his chin up a fraction and went to pull up a chair, in which he sat nimbly and neatly, one leg crossed over the other carefully and his palms rested upon his knees.
Prissy little shit.
“Oh ? And here I thought my absence would cause the poor puppy to lose its head. No matter. Yes, I am a busy person, Major. As much as I would like to sit around sipping tea and eating Valkenhayn’s scones, I do have work to do, like ensuring Terumi’s demise. In another matter, however, I would like a full report as to your activities since I have been gone.”

rachelalucard asked you:
"And you think, I always squander my precious time ? How naive of you. I thought I taught you better. It would seem some lessons have fallen through that rotting brain of yours. I have been busy, which is what kept me away for so long. However, I have returned, so fear not."
"I wasn't fearing, Alucard." The man mostly ignored her patronizing tone; he had grown accustomed to it. She continuously brought up their 'lessons', which he was quite sure he had finished attending once he had started working for the Librarium. He found it rather disdainful that she still acted like he was a child.
Nonetheless, he hummed.
"Busy?"

"Well, well. Looks like a little lost puppy has returned. What have you been doing in my absence ?"
"Miss. Alucard." He definitely resented the use of the name 'puppy', but he had spent enough time around the woman to know that to try and fight her on it, he would only lose the brutal verbal battle that would ensue. She always won verbal battles."I've been working. I have a job, you know. I, unlike yourself, don't have time for scones and tea every waking hour of the day." Or night.

Jin couldn't help but laugh, raising a gloved hand to caress his chin thoughtfully and stare over at the other. Vampires didn't particularly need to blink; it was a comfort; so in this instance he felt it far more fun to make the other writhe under an impenetrable stare. He hummed. "You could consider me a 'blood-sucking vermin', yes. But I haven't seen Miss. Alucard for years. Whereas you, from the information you've provided me with, seem to be at Hazama's lap most hours of the day. Am I right, Other Me?"
This was followed by a particularly cold sneer as he tilted his head. Perhaps he could play with this one more. It was like trapping a rat, and tossing it. So easy to wind him up. And he was so... arrogant.
No, that was hypocritical. He knew full well that he was arrogant, too, but he kept such self-absorbed thoughts to his head to pursue the illusion of eloquence which was, in truth, nothing but a performance.
"Perhaps if you let me drain you a little, I'd be able to analyse how different we are genetically..." Of course he was kidding. He would never dream of drinking the blood of a doppelganger (though, in retrospect, he had no reason to fear his stomach rejecting it); merely because it seemed more like self-harm than dinner. How counter constructive.

@darkest-loophole

“Oh you’re right. Dammit Major, who let you out?”
"Do you mean to insinuate that I am nothing more than an animal, Captain? In all honesty, I had no idea a man of the Intelligence Department would go to such lengths of hypocrisy."
Smirkity smirk.

"I'm warning you, Captain. It seems you suffer from a severe case of not knowing when to cease your... tomfoolery."
It seemed that no matter how much Rachel had corrected his etiquette, she had not excelled herself in taming his temper. It was unlikely that anyone would ever be able to do that. He growled slightly, his hand still on the sword though not unsheathing Her.
"Do you not have anything better to be doing? I thought the 'Intelligence Department' was renowned for its... well. Intelligence. Rather than its confrontationality." An elegant brow rose as the crimson eyes remained, unblinking, on his peer. He straightened up after a while. Seize the high ground, Jin. Do not allow him to undermine your rationality.
He smiled like a fox.
"Did you have business with me?" Alas, the life of the NOL's tip-top vampire Major was a busy one!

“Woah woah, calm down there Major Cullen. The last thing I want are nasty bitemarks on my neck, especially from mister Brother Boner. Perhaps you should listen to your sword—Ah, what was it’s name again, Bella? Take a chill pill and cool off, y’know. You’re getting all excited like some sort of yappy mutt about to piss itself. Guess it runs in the family though—A strong case of the little bitch gene.”

The red eyes fixed on him with a loathing. The rift of time-space did nothing to improve this particular Jin's opinion of the Captain; if anything, it was even more resentful. The difference being that, compared to a great deal of his doppelgangers, he knew how to control his temper. Or, at least, look as though he was controlling it. Fire burned in his stomach but his eyes were bitter and calm.
"You'd do well to silence yourself, Captain, lest my fangs find you."
He growled lowly, letting his hand slip to Yukianesa, who began muttering to him instantly and incessantly. The Major ignored her; she was good company, but her control over him had waned over the years.

“Oh dear major, I’m so flattered that you’d love to inspect my body that closely. However, I don’t bend that way so, I’ll have to pass on that. I couldn’t possibly stand the thought of anyone touching my delicate body.” He shot back at the major, a wide sneer across his face. “Honestly though, what do you want with me? Don’t you have a brother to creepily obsess and go mental over, or whatever it is you young kids do these days?”

"Your words cut me deep."
Deadpan was an understatement. The vampire's eyes were fixed on the green, by contrast, of the copy. Initially, his face was merely cold and feelingless, but the smile that spread across it a moment or two later was wry, even melancholic. "On the contrary, I believe neither you nor I to be the 'original', so to speak." He tilted his head. "And it certainly isn't you."
Rachel had taught him manners. He had not been raised like her, like the doppelgänger had been by Hazama - no, he had been raised by the Kisaragis, like every other Jin besides the one stood so impudently before him. But she had sat him down upon numerous occasions after her initial transfer of her virus to him, and taught him basic etiquette and, in turn, eloquence, over far too many pots of tea. Too much tea.
Jin's loathing for tea burned with the intensity of a thousand suns.
But no matter how polite Rachel had insisted he be (even if that politeness came in the form of her usual snide remarks), he retained the fiery personality that was simple akin to every Jin in existence. And the jab at the other was simply out of bitterness. Because he felt like it. Because he was, by nature, every bit the douchebag the 'true' Jin Kisaragi was.
"Do you understand so little about the world that you would believe anything that old snake tells you? Oh, how pitiful." A slightly melodramatic and entirely patronizing sigh. "You bring shame to the name of Jin, you swine." He flashed a grin which, for the first time in their conversation, fully revealed the fangs adorning the sides of his mouth. Deliberately.

"Why would I have anything to say to you?" His voice was bitterly cold and entirely disrespectful. As though he was talking to a rebellious child.

“Hm? Oh.” Relius glanced at Jin’s pale skin, wondering how the lack of color got pale like the color of stone. “Is there anything you need to tell me?”

"Are you hearing things, old man? I said not a word to you."
A slight 'hmph' of disapproval.

sanjuine started following you
“Yes?” Relius doesn’t like the looks of this individual. It’s a bit eerie to find something that is a variant version of Jin.

"No harm done, Tsubaki." He commented quietly, but his eyes had turned distrusting. But calm. He quietly folded his arms over his chest, tilting up his chin a little to survey her with those... eyes... before deciding it was time for him to withdraw, and get on with his mission. He didn't feel like dealing with the NOL higher-ups scolding him for inadequacy.
"I must take my leave. This has been... enlightening." Perhaps he would run into her version of himself. My, how intriguing that would be. He took a step back, raising his eyebrow at her for a few seconds more, before sweeping around and beginning to retreat back into the shadows where he found himself far more at home.
"Until we meet again, Other Tsubaki."

"You must not touch me!"
That came out of no where. The moment Tsubaki's hand approached his face, the vampire had backed right off, upper lip curled in a feral snarl that was not unfamiliar to anyone who had spent enough time around any Jin. There was no real reason behind his outburst. He hated the feeling of hot, human fingers on his skin which was cold from the lack of blood circulation.
A pet hate. That, and he felt as though no one should have the privilege of touching him so sweetly except his brother.
His brow furrowed, but after a few seconds, he seemed to relax slowly. His hand had gone to Yukianesa and he hadn't even realised it. "I... apologise for that, Lieutenant." There was no true remorse in his voice. "That was unnecessary of me." But he continued to look bitter, the red eyes were unblinking, predatory as ever.

"More control?"
Interested, Jin tilted his head. So whatever reflection of himself that lived in this girl's world... was out of control of Yukianesa? He, himself, had been, for a long time. It had eaten away at his mind almost as much as the initial transaction from deceased to undead had, but now, he had Her tethered. Mostly. There were times he let Her free to do as she pleased with his mind, body, his sword hand.
But most of the time, he liked to be in his own mind. And as... 'sane' as vampires came. The mad streak that lived within him was akin to every Jin in the world. That was something he could not escape. Especially when Ragna the Bloodedge was around.
"I see." He watched her closely. Her skin was so beautifully clear, even in the dark. Flawless. That was something he admired in humans. His own skin had been so childishly spotless once. Tsubaki, in his eyes, still had the skin of an infant. Soft. Untouched. Subconsciously, his tongue ran over one of his fangs, but he was quick to compose himself.
"You need not worry about me. Why should you? You barely know me, Lieutenant."
