Today I rewatched the episode of Herb’s funeral and it dawned on me that Herb was never shown to have a long time romantic partner? Like he died presumably single, and as an audience the only person we know Herb ever “dated” was Charlotte. He was out and living a good life for many many years after being fired from Horsing Around, and yet he never found love?

I don’t know, I’m just speculating but I think Bojack was the great love of Herb’s life, even if Bojack only ever saw him as his best friend. I think Herb never recovered from Bojack’s betrayal in ways that we can only speculate on.

Yeah, that’s what I have always thought too tbh. Like. Herb just seems like the kinda guy who desires a romantic partner. What’s also always stood out to me is how few close friends he had at the end of his life. For such a kind loveable guy, you’d think he’d have more. Makes me think that after his traumatizing experience of losing almost all his friends, particularly Bojack, due to being outed, I feel like he had trouble letting people be close to him again. Aside from Tina the nurse and Henry winkler, his strongest connections (Charlotte and the Horsin around kids) are all people he became close with before being outed.

But I feel like his lack of a romantic partner was largely due to the wound of Bojack specifically. The fact he was able to get so riled up during the visit makes me feel like he never truly got over him

In conclusion Herb makes me sad and he deserved better

I'm back. ^////^;

Without going into too much detail, over the past month, I got forced onto a day-work schedule causing me to lose a ton of sleep, crashed my car on my way to day-work schedule because of lack of sleep (i'm fine, we were going like 2mph but my car got fucked up), ripped the entire kitchen apart trying to exterminate ants, our fridge broke, i gave myself a handful of back injuries as i usually do from training too much and not sleeping enough, and we had a death in the family, all while taking care of my now 5 month son (who i am very VERY proud of and he's growing so well and learning so fast ^w^).

Anyway I'm back. The comic is on a VERY SLOW but steady production while I try to get my shit back together. New update coming at the end of May if not sooner (trying to give myself a lot of wiggle room @_@)

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL OF DANG Y'ALL!

Alright LAST time-skip Niffty doodle. I promise. Only wanted to do this one for @hazbinextgeneration because she drew Larry and Niffty an adorable daughter years ago and she usually draws my characters for christmas each year, so I really wanted to repay the favor this year. And I just love drawing Niffty all cute and chonky.
