i’m sorry im so tired and i work again today so i’m going to bed ( i had planned to get to all of devon’s replies but i forgot that i posted a long ass starter so all the replies are p long and yeah but i’ll get to the rest of them tomorrow when i get home from work for sure bc i have thursday off thank god )

GWEN & DEVON

gwen was in desperate need of a coffee and a break after her sessions at the gym earlier in the day. three private sessions and one just by herself and she was completely spent. as soon as she’d placed her order at her favorite coffee shop, her eyes scanned the packed seating area and a sigh fell from her lips. when she heard a voice, presumably talking to her, as no one else was looking for a table, she jumped slightly. “oh, no, don’t feel like you have to leave because of me! i can really just take it to go, honestly.”

“no, it’s okay!” devon chirped, her face lit with a bright smile like it always was. “i’ve been here for hours, besides it’s totally unfair of me to take a place when i finished my coffee awhile ago.” she laughed softly before putting her laptop in the case, “i should probably hit the gym before it closes anyway, i overslept my normal time earlier.”

ALEXIA & DEVON

lexi and her sister couldn’t have been more opposite to each other, they didn’t really share that many commonalities at all. devon was successful, grounded, she knew what she was doing. meanwhile lexi was working at a strip club, serving drinks every night to try to come up with enough for rent. which, not she didn’t even have a place to stay. hopefully going to hit up ashton and try to stay there until she could figure something out. her stresses could easily be seen all over her face as she ran a hand through her messy short hair, spotting her very sister. she had only come in for coffee, wasn’t planning on sitting down. “nah, it’s..cool, d. don’t worry, i ain’t staying long or anything, just getting that good old cold brew, yanno.” she brushed off her shirt before quietly admitting, “miss you, i know you’re busy with school and everything, but yeah..we should hang out soon.”

devon tried to not have many regrets in life, which given that most of her time was spent serving others it didn’t provide a lot of room to have them in the first place. however, her biggest regret in life was not mending the relationship between her and her sister sooner. she loved her sister to death, whether her sister would believe that or not, and ever since they were little devon had always admired her. that held true to today. after everything that had gone down with lex and their father devon wished she could have stood up for lex at the time. everything in her screamed to have done that, but she had been too scared. when she had left for college finally she had reached out to lex, keeping in minimal contact even though devon longed for more. living in the same town again for a couple months, they should have spent time. but devon was timid, and too insecure to ask if lex wanted to hang out. chewing on her bottom lip as her sister spoke, slowing down her movements in picking up the papers, “i miss you too.” clearing her throat she set the stack of papers down before taking a deep breath in. the fear in her made her not want to ask but she couldn’t not ask. “school is uh, it’s out for the summer. maybe you could come over tonight? i could make you dinner and we can talk?”

Smile at strangers. Do good things. Give your friends some advice. Enjoy your life. Love your life. You’ll never know how you could inspire people with these simple acts of kindness. Remember: little things do matter.
