“It’s not that scary!” He spoke out at the comment he heard, not even realizing there wasn’t anyone actually around him. Finally raising his head from his phone he continued to speak. “It’s actually quite— okay?” He blinked seeing nobody was there to listen to him.
Quickly, the fae scrambled off from his head and ducked into a nearby alley so he could change forms. Reappearing in his full human form, he scurried back over to the other as he fussed with his hair to make sure it was all in place properly. “But why is there so much killing?”

Turning his small floating body to look in the direction to where she pointed, his mouth formed a small ‘o,’ finally realizing how close he was to the house. “I’m sorry for intruding, I just wanted to get out and explore a bit while my little one slept.” As he strutted across her shoulders and jumped excitedly before crawling up to sit on her head, peering down to look at her with his tiny hands on her forehead, “thank you for helping her grow! Really? Is it mostly black magic? If it’s good magic then there shouldn’t be a problem I don’t think?”
“Trust me, if I get hungry I can always run home to get food. It’s pretty much right there.” She gestured to the house in the near distance.
The wolf looked at him curiously. Listening to the explanation. She’d never really thought about a fairy watching over a baby before. Sure there were tales from the outside world, but a pup never dealt with such a thing. She’d always thought they were pure myths. Though that didn’t seem like a polite thing to say. At the name her eye’s widened. “Oh I do! She’s the child of a close friend. Adorable little girl. I nurse her so she can grow big and strong.” There’s amusement as he did his own version of a fashion show on her shoulder. “I’ve never really had much dealings in the stuff. I mean magic is kind of a gamble with my kind. Mostly it just doesn’t work. Occasionally it backfires in the most extreme manner.”
