I've seen multiple times ppl asking "how does Nico see Aphrodite?" And tbh it annoys me

Because you have to remember that beauty/love ≠ attraction.

A gay man can see a woman as beautiful, just like a straight man can see a man and thinks hes handsome.

And in my opinion he doesn't see Bianca or a fem version of Percy or Will,

I think he sees his mother.

I don't have my books with me but I'm sure she is said to be beautiful and to look like an actress.

Plus, remember that Nico hasn't seen his mom since he was maybe 8 or 10. His memories of her are probably even more beautiful than the reality. You often idolise what you have lost.

However Aphrodite's appearance is always changing. Maybe that despite she mostly looks like an Italian actress from the 1930's, sometimes her eyes glow green like the ocean, and freckles appears on her nose...
