was thinking about your hc that its tradition in zaun for the carrier to not cut their hair for the duration of the pregnancy and it got me thinking.... hc that it's also tradition for the baby's first ever haircut to also be from the parent. and then i started thinking about vi getting soooo emotional about cutting her baby's hair for the first time because she cant help thinking about her own mom and how shes so happy that now she gets her turn to cut her own baby's hair and it makes her feel so much closer to felicia. i just wanted to get your thoughts on this because youre the president of caitvi parents nation (to me)

Thinking about her little baby’s hair growing soft and long for a year, with those little baby curls that go away after you cut them for the first time 😭 and she’s so sad to see them go, but so happy to feel close to her own mother like you said, and so happy to get to share this with her daughter but also with Caitlyn (who is also growing her hair out despite not carrying!)

I can just see them gathering with family and Caitlyn holding the baby and distracting her by making her giggle while Vi clips the little lilac locks away, both of them trying not to lose it when they make eye contact because they did this for each other exactly a year ago—thinking about where they were a year ago, holding their newborn they worked so hard for. UGH!!!!

I have a scene planned at the end where Vi gives Caitlyn a gift after the baby’s First Progress party, and now I’m imagining Caitlyn giving a gift back to Vi for baby’s first birthday—a little signet thumb ring that opens, baby’s initial on the top, lock of hair on the inside.

UGH BIGQUEER IM EMOTIONAL and I almost said baby’s name like 10 times lol, I need to proofread.
