Sarah followed Daniel to the car, a smile never leaving her face the entire time. If it never left her face again, she wouldn't mind a bit. "Why thank you, Mr. Miller." She slid into the passenger seat and waited for Daniel to get in the driver side. "So, what do newly weds do next?" Sarah asked, taking Daniel's hand between the seats. "Usually, the movies end with them driving off into the sunset happily."

“Gladly.” He replied, taking one of her hands into his. He waited as Mark and Heather went up the path first, and then they followed behind. He held onto her the entire time, not only because she was fragile, but because he wanted to. They finally reached the top of the hill, and he went to the passenger side of their car. “After you, Mrs. Miller.” He gestured.

"Finally." Sarah smiled, enthralled that she was finally one with Daniel. It had really been worth the wait, every single second, every thing that had happened between them, all worth it now. "Lead the way." Sarah replied, handing the keys to Daniel.
Ever After || Sariel
Daniel smiled into the kiss, wrapping his arms around her tight, and even lifting her off the ground a bit. “Mr. and Mrs. Miller.” He repeated back to her once they’d separated, and put her back down onto the ground. “Forever and always.” He promised her, pecking her lips once more. He wanted to stay there with her, but it was beginning to get dark. “Shall we go home, love?” He asked, brushing some hair from her face.

Sarah smiled, another tear slipping down her cheek. She couldn't start crying, she actually wanted to see Daniel clearly instead of blurred. "Daniel..." She blushed, wiping the other tear away. As she kissed her she wrapped her arms around his neck, holding on for as long as she possibly could. Of course, she didn't want to let go, but she knew she had to. Sadly, they couldn't stay in that moment forever, there were other moments to be lived. "Mr. and Mrs. Miller." Sarah said officially.
Ever After || Sariel
Daniel smiled and removed one of his hands from hers, just to wipe away the single tear she’d shed. “You’re beautiful, sweetheart. Even when you cry.” Daniel leaned in and pressed his lips against Sarah’s, sealing the promise that they’d made to each other just then. To always love her, and treat her like the amazing woman she was. To always be the man she’d helped him to grow into. It was all his life, now, and she was his forever.

Sarah forgot for a moment that they were standing in silence. She had lost herself again in his eyes. "I love you too, Daniel." As she reached into his pocket she remembered hers was in her sweater pocket. Not looking away from his eyes she blindly reached back for her sweater in Mark's hands and got the ring she'd chosen for him. It was simple, but fit him perfectly and inside was written 'Always.' Sarah watched in awe as he slid the ring on her finger. Now she truly was in danger of crying. Of course, she couldn't stop the tear that slipped down her cheek. Once Daniel finished, she slid the ring on his finger and recited what she remembered hearing in the thousands of romance movies she'd seen with weddings in them. "I, Sarah Adams, take you Daniel Miller, to be my husband. I promise to always love you. For better or for worse. Always."
Ever After || Sariel
Daniel smiled and held her hands in his, rubbing her knuckles with his thumbs, triyng to console her as she spoke. Though simple, her words were beautiful, just as she was. He didn’t know if there was anything else to add, so he just stood there for a moment, letting the light breeze rustle up around them. “I love you, Sarah.” Daniel released her hands as he dug around in his pockets, pulling out the simple band he’d chosen for her. “I don’t know how this usually goes, but…” He half-smiled, and as he slid the ring onto her finger, he said the words that came to mind. “I, Daniel Miller, take you Sarah Adams, to be my wife. I promise to take care of you, love you, and be yours, only yours, forever and ever.”

Sarah was still somewhat shellshocked, it didn't seem like this was real, but that she were in a dream. As clichely put, it was a dream come true. Listening to his words, Sarah felt like everything else had vanished, the people, the place, it was just them. "We changed each other." She added. "I didn't think someone could love me, could even look twice at me, but you did. If a year ago someone told me I'd fall in love with you, I'd tell them they were crazy. But, now I can't imagine life without you. It took me maybe... A moment to fall for you. Even when I didn't believe in love and I never wanted to fall in love, because of how my parents turned out, but... Even now, even with... The baby. I love you. I love you so much and I want to spend every second of the rest of my life with you." Sarah's vision blurred a bit, of course she was getting emotional and it wasn't just from the hormones. She was always such a sap for moments like these.
Ever After || Sariel
Daniel returned her kiss, smiling a bit. Though there was no minister or anything, this was their wedding. And though it was unconventional, it was perfect for them. “Sarah…” He started, once their lips had parted from each other. “I never thought I’d fall in love with you. I mean, I was the preppy guy, and you were that bookworm girl. We shouldn’t have fallen in love. All the signs pointed different directions. But the night I hung out with you, the night that I kissed you right here, in this spot…I never wanted to look back. You’ve changed me, Sarah Adams, and I don’t know what I’d do without you. I promise to always take care of you, always treat you like the treasure you are.”

Sarah smiled at Daniel, her cheeks blushing slightly. It was like a scene from a romance movie, the way Daniel looked, the way she felt, the way everything was playing out so perfectly. As Mark offered her his arm, Sarah took it happily. It seemed this would be her makeshift 'giving away' moment since her father was absent. At long last she was in front of Daniel, joined hand in hand. "I love you." She whispered, stretching up to kiss him.
Ever After || Sariel
Daniel looked to Mark, confused. But then Daniel pointed up the hill a bit. God, she was beautiful. She was always beautiful, but something about the way that the light was hitting her, and how angelic she looked in that dress…it was almost too much. He nudged Mark, who, without being verbally told, took that as a cue to go help Sarah before she fell down or something. But soon enough, she was right in front of him, his hands in hers, and he looked lovingly into her eyes. “I love you.” He mouthed to her, kissing her on the forehead.

Sarah took her time driving, in a way, savoring her last moments as an Adams. She'd miss it, but then again she'd be missing a lot of things soon. It was worth it though, she'd give anything up for Daniel. As the city began to diminish and the trees grew up around her she knew she was close. She could see Daniel's car and parked a little bit away from it, hoping to surprise him with her entrance. Just down the hill she could make out Mark's wild hair. She smiled, noticing Daniel beside him. "Here we go." She whispered to herself, starting down the hill. Quietly, she crept up behind the two, hoping not to startle them. Although, the click of her heels against the stones in the ground gave her away to Mark, who tapped Daniel on the shoulder.
Ever After || Sariel
Once Daniel was sure that he had himself looking as presentable and clean as possible, he went to make sure Mark looked the same. Thankfully, he’d managed to take care of himself, and with that, the two were ready to go. They got into Daniel’s car and began to head for Lakeshore, staying quiet most of the way. There wasn’t really much to be said. Once they arrived, Daniel shoved the car keys into his pockets, and started with Mark down the hill, to the lake that he and Sarah first met at.

Sarah emerged from the shower feeling normal again, her sting stinging a bit from the hot water, but she felt like herself. Not the fake doll she had painted on a moment ago. Settling with light mascara and lip color she felt like she'd merely highlighted herself rather than weighed herself down. "Okay." She said to herself in the mirror. "This is it. This is the last time you can call yourself Sarah Adams." A small smile broke across her face. It really was it. She was about to marry Daniel in the place they met, shared their first kiss, and basically fallen in love. She turned to the closet and found her dress for the day. It was a lace printed dress, it came to her knees and flowed outwards like flower petals. Perfect. It wasn't too flashy or obnoxious like most wedding gowns were, but it was just that right amount. Zipping it up was a little struggle since it was a fitting dress anyways, but thankfully she managed to get it closed. She was always lucky with her hair, it fell in loose curls on it's own. To compliment it she added a headband decorated with small flowers. "Well, here goes." Sarah said to herself.
Ever After || Sariel
Daniel wen’t over to Mark’s to get ready. He went straight for Mark’s shower, scrubbing every inch of himself to get clean. He had to look his best for Sarah. One out, he styled his hair, combing it down to try and appear neat. He put on the clothes be brought, a pair of black jeans and a pale blue button up shirt, which he wore untucked. He wanted to remain casual, but still look good enough for her.

"I know. I can't wait to see your face. I really hope you like it." Sarah sighed, stepping back as he pulled away. "Okay." She said, kissing him back and smiling as he kissed her stomach. "We'll be there." Sarah replied, watching Daniel leave. Once the door was closed and Daniel had driven off, Sarah went to the bathroom to begin getting ready. It wouldn't take her long to do so, because she rarely wore makeup, but maybe today she should? In an attempt to look like one of the models in a bridal magazine she had tucked away, she went for the only mascara she had, which happened to be volumizing. Of course, it ended up giving her racoon eyes, but maybe that was what was in? Next, she found lipstick, the gummiest, most nastiest thing on earth to her, but it was what the model wore. By the time she was done, she barely recognized herself. No, Daniel loved her for what was underneath all that muck. Turning on the shower, Sarah stepped inside and began scrubbing it all off.

“I wanna be surprised when I see you in your dress, love.” He replied, resting his hands over hers. “All dolled up and shining brighter than the sun.” He pulled away from her after a long moment, and stuffed all his things into a bag. “I’ll see you in a couple hours, babydoll. Take care of the nugget for me.” He pecked her lips softly once, and then kissed her stomach. “I’ll see the two of you a bit later.”

Sarah smiled, that warm tingley feeling rushing over her. It was this feeling she always had when Daniel was near, giving her butterflies and goosebumps, making her heart flutter. "Okay." She nodded, looking at the clock. It was a little after 10 now which gave her plenty of time to get ready and look nice for the event to remember. As Daniel went to the closet Sarah crept up behind him, snaking her arms around his waist from behind. "I don't want you to go, but I know it's bad luck to see eachother beforehand." She sighed, resting her cheek on his back.

“Of course. But I’ll push them all aside for you.” Daniel winked, before picking his head up and pecking her lips softly. “I’ll grab my stuff and meet up with Mark, and I’ll see you at Lakeshore in a couple hours, okay?” Daniel crawled out of bed and went over to the closet, grabbing the clothes he knew that he’d need for the day.

"I am. More than ready, really." She smiled, sighing happily. "What about you? Is the infamous Daniel Miller ready to settle down?" Sarah asked, secretly kind of curious. Of course he wouldn't back out now, but she'd be lying if she said she hadn't been having a brief nightmares of him running off on her. "I'm sure your string of secret lovers will be just distraught to hear that after today you'll be a married man." She teased, gently brushing his mess of hair back.
Ever After || Sariel
Daniel spent his night dreaming of and holding his fiancee. He knew that it was the last time he could ever call her that, and sure, he was scared, but in a good way. He felt himself waking up to a soft, warm press of her soft lips to his cheek, and smiled immediately. “Hi, beautiful.” He replied groggily, opening his eyes to look at her. “All ready to marry me today?”

Still in disbelief that today's really the day.

Ever After || Sariel
Sarah stirred that morning with an unbelievable sense of butterflies in her stomach. Despite tradition, she didn't want to spend the night without Daniel even though they were getting married that day. For once, she didn't care about the superstitions of marriage, like how it was bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. She wanted to spend every moment of the day with him and every moment after. Sarah turned over to see Daniel still sound asleep. It would be merely hours until she was Sarah Miller, finally shedding her soon-to-be maiden name Adams. Quietly sneaking closer to him, she pecked his cheek. "Hey you." She whispered, playfully poking his cheek. "You're getting married today. Gotta get up." Sarah said, kissing his cheek again.
