What is JBoss?

Rather, Tomcat is more of a web server and web container. This does not mean it lacks functionality, mind you. An open-source implementation of the Java Servlet, JavaServer Pages, Java Expression Language, and Java WebSocket Technologies, it is intended as a platform for powering large-scale, mission-critical web applications. It is used by major enterprises across several industries and verticals, including development, finance, healthcare, government, ecommerce, retail, and marketing.

The Major Differences Between JBoss and Tomcat
Both JBoss and Tomcat are Java servlet application servers, but JBoss is a whole lot more. The substantial difference between the two is that JBoss provides a full Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) stack, including Enterprise JavaBeans and many other technologies that are useful for developers working on enterprise Java applications. Tomcat is much more limited. One way to think of it is that JBoss is a JEE stack that includes a servlet container and web server, whereas Tomcat, for the most part, is a servlet container and web server.
That said, it can also run enterprise applications, a fact which causes no small amount of confusion.
“Many application developers do not focus much on the infrastructure on which their code runs,” writes Manu PK of The Java Zone. “When it comes to web applications, the difference between web servers and application servers [is a common confusion]…Typically, we get confused when [we see that] Tomcat [has] the ability to run enterprise applications.”
When To Choose JBoss
JBoss is the best choice for applications where developers need full access to the functionality that the Java Enterprise Edition provides and are happy with the default implementations of that functionality that ship with it. If you don’t need the full range of JEE features, then choosing JBoss will add a lot of complexity to deployment and resource overhead that will go unused. For example, the JBoss installation files are around an order of magnitude larger than Tomcat’s.
When To Choose Tomcat
Tomcat is a Java servlet container and web server, and, because it doesn’t come with an implementation of the full JEE stack, it is significantly lighter weight out of the box. For developers who don’t need the full JEE stack that has two main advantages.
Significantly less complexity and resource use. Modularity. There are numerous providers of add-ons that work with Tomcat. Developers can choose the specific implementations they want to use to add extra functionality. For example, Tomcat can’t natively host Enterprise JavaBeans. However, if users need Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) functionality like the persistence and transaction processing that the EJB container model provides, but want to avoid the problems inherent in the main implementation, there are many lightweight alternatives, including the Spring Framework and OpenEJB
Developers of complex Java enterprise applications should choose JBoss (or GlassFish), while those who don’t need the full JEE stack are better off with Tomcat plus any extensions they need.

In this post, I am going to demonstrate you how you can install UiPath Training in your system.
Step 1: First we need to download Uipath Setup from the official website.
Open Official UiPath Website www.uipath.com In home page click on ÔÇ£Download StudioÔÇØ Button. Next, hover down to the page. There you will see ÔÇ£Download Studio TrialÔÇØ button, Click on it. Steps to Choosing the Right DevOps Tools
Most developers have moved beyond understanding the business value of DevOps Training and on to how best to implement it. The former was easy to define, while the latter has been more difficult.
Why? The number and types of problem domains differ greatly from one problem domain to the next. The types of processes and tools that developers and operations professionals can apply differ a great deal as well.
Best practices are starting to emerge, however, and most enterprise DevOps shops should be following them. These best practices go beyond common sense; they get at the essence of what DevOps means for your enterprise and how to get DevOps right the first time. For most organizations, this is new stuff.
DevOps best practices
If you’re considering DevOps, you have many moving parts to consider. Core to this structure are automated provisioning, automated testing, and automated build and deployment. At the same time, you need to maintain continuous feedback, with information continuously moving back and forth, as well as making sure that you log pretty much everything.

As to the best practices for choosing DevOps tools you can use to approach your DevOps implementation, these can be boiled down to seven steps.
Step 1: Understand the collaboration and shared tools strategy for the Dev, QA, and infrastructure automation teams
DevOps teams need to come up with a common tools strategy that lets them collaborate across development, testing, and deployment (see Figure 1). This does not mean that you should spend days arguing about tooling; it means you work on a common strategy that includes DevOps...

Coming up with a common tools strategy does not drive tool selection — at least not at this point. It means picking a common share strategy that all can agree upon and that is reflective of your business objectives for DevOps.
The tool selection process often drives miscommunication within teams. A common DevOps tools strategy must adhere to a common set of objectives while providing seamless collaboration and integration between tools. The objective is to automate everything: Developers should be able to send new and changed software to deployment and operations without humans getting in the way of the processes.
Step 2: Use tools to capture every request
No ad hoc work or changes should occur outside of the DevOps process, and DevOps tooling should capture every request for new or changed software. This is different from logging the progress of software as it moves through the processes. DevOps provides the ability to automate the acceptance of change requests that come in either from the business or from other parts of the DevOps teams.
Examples include changing software to accommodate a new tax model for the business, or changing the software to accommodate a request to improve performance of the database access module.
Step 3: Use agile Kanban project management for automation and DevOps requests that can be dealt with in the tooling
Kanban is a framework used to implement agile development that matches the amount of work in progress to the team's capacity. It gives teams more flexible planning options, faster output, clear focus, and transparency throughout the development cycle.
Kanban tools provide the ability to see what you do today, or all the items in context with each other. Also, it limits the amount of work in progress, which helps balance flow-based approaches so that you don’t attempt to do too much at once. Finally, Kanban tools can enhance flow. In Kanban, when one work item is complete, the next highest item from the backlog gets pushed to development.
Step 4: Use tools to log metrics on both manual and automated processes
Select tools that can help you understand the productivity of your DevOps processes, both automated and manual, and to determine if they are working in your favor. You need to do two things with these tools. First, define which metrics are relevant to the DevOps processes, such as speed to deployment versus testing errors found. Second, define automated processes to correct issues without human involvement. An example would be dealing with software scaling problems automatically on cloud-based platforms.
Step 5: Implement test automation and test data provisioning tooling
Test automation is more than just automated testing; it’s the ability to take code and data and run standard testing routines to ensure the quality of the code, the data, and the overall solution. With DevOps, testing must be continuous. The ability to toss code and data into the process means you need to place the code into a sandbox, assign test data to the application, and run hundreds — or thousands — of tests that, when completed, will automatically promote the code down the DevOps process, or return it back to the developers for rework.
Step 6: Perform acceptance tests for each deployment tooling
Part of the testing process should define the acceptance tests that will be a part of each deployment, including levels of acceptance for the infrastructure, applications, data, and even the test suite that you’ll use. For the tool set selected, those charged with DevOps testing processes should to spend time defining the acceptance tests, and ensuring that the tests meet with the acceptance criteria selected.
These tests may be changed at any time by development or operations. And as applications evolve over time, you'll need to bake new requirements into the software, which in turn should be tested against these new requirements. For example, you might need to test changes to compliance issues associated with protecting certain types of data, or performance issues to ensure that the enterprise meets service-level agreements.
Step 7: Ensure continuous feedback between the teams to spot gaps, issues, and inefficiencies
Finally, you'll need feedback loops to automate communication between tests that spot issues, and tests that process needs to be supported by your chosen tool. The right tool must identify the issue using either manual or automated mechanisms, and tag the issue with the artifact so the developers or operators understand what occurred, why it occurred, and where it occurred.
The tool should also help to define a chain of communications with all automated and human players in the loop. This includes an approach to correct the problem in collaboration with everyone on the team, a consensus as to what type of resolution you should apply, and a list of any additional code or technology required. Then comes the push to production, where the tool should help you define tracking to report whether the resolution made it through automated testing, automated deployment, and automated operations.

Testing Applications in Low-Level Mode - Overview
In normal recording mode, TestComplete captures only meaningful high-level test actions, such as button clicks or item selections. It does not capture pauses between events. It locates events by the affected control or by the relative coordinates in its client area. This is the preferred way of recording tests.
In certain cases, however, you may need to record detailed low-level mouse and keyboard actions: all mouse motions, mouse clicks, mouse wheel events, keyboard events as well as the delays between these events. This recording mode is called Low-Level Mode and the resulting tests - low-level procedures. These tests play back actions at the same speed as they were recorded. Such low-level procedures are necessary when you need a test that performs the exact sequence of keyboard and mouse actions specified by precise window or screen coordinates with all delays between actions. If you need to create a test that records all delays between user actions, but does not support detailed low-level mouse and keyboard actions, use the Real-Time Mode for testing.
A low-level procedure consists of a sequence of events, such as Mouse Move, Mouse Down, Key Down and others, each event having a number of parameters such as the screen coordinates, virtual key codes, event duration and so on. See Low-Level Procedure Events for more information.
Low-level procedures can be recorded in screen-relative or window-relative coordinates. A window-relative procedure simulates actions within a specific window and does not depend on the window position on screen. Screen-relative procedures can simulate actions over multiple windows at once, but are sensitive to window positions. See Window- and Screen-Relative Low-Level Procedures.
To create a low-level procedure, you can add it to the Low-Level Procedures collection in your project manually, or you can record the low-level procedure using the Record Low-Level Procedure (window coordinates) or Record Low-Level Procedure (screen coordinates) commands on the Recording toolbar. TestComplete provides Low-Level Procedures Collection project items for managing low-level procedures. A project can contain one or more of these collections, each collection holding one or more low-level procedures. How to configure splunk?
Splunk configuration files are the main brains behind splunk working. Splunk configuration files contains Splunk configuration information. Splunk configuration  files controls behavior of splunk. These files are available on splunk server with extension .conf  and  easily readable and editable if you have appropriate access. Whatever changes we make through GUI seats in .conf files.Most of the time GUI does not offer full functionalities in that case we can achieve them through editing parameters in related .conf files.There can be multiple .conf files with same name.  Configuration files are stored in a number of directories, including $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/default (Do not touch them as they contain default configurations).Configuration files in $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/system/local, and $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/ can be edited as per our need. we can create different folders in local folder as per apps or technologies.We must restart or debug refresh  splunk after editing .conf file to apply new changes to splunk.You don't need to remeber all of them but at least you should be  familiar about  which file conains what configuration settings.
Below is the list of all splunk configuration files and their short description.We will study frequently used configuration files  in detail in next chapters.
alert_actions.conf  >> This file contains different configuration settings related to splunk alerts.You can edit this file to configure alert actions for saved searches.For example we can set alert file format pdf|csv|mail,email settings through editing parameters in this file. app.conf  >> used to Configure your custom app.Configure properties like visibility,ownership etc for your custom application. audit.conf >> Configure auditing and event hashing. .Use this file to configure auditing and event hashing. authentication.conf >> authentication.conf is used to configure LDAP and Scripted authentication in addition to Splunk's native authentication authorize.conf >> Configure roles, including granular access controls.Use this file to configure roles and capabilities for your splunk users and admins commands.conf >> Connect search commands to any custom search script. crawl.conf >> Configure crawl to find new data sources. default.meta.conf >> A template file for use in creating app-specific default.meta files. deploymentclient.conf >> Specify behavior for clients of the deployment server. distsearch.conf >> Specify behavior for distributed search. eventdiscoverer.conf >> Set terms to ignore for typelearner (event discovery). event_renderers.conf >> Configure event-rendering properties. eventtypes.conf  >> Create event type definitions. fields.conf >> Create multivalue fields and add search capability for indexed fields. indexes.conf >> Manage and configure index settings. inputs.conf >> Set up data inputs. instance.cfg.conf >> Designate and manage settings for specific instances of Splunk. This can be handy, for example, when identifying forwarders for internal searches. limits.conf >> Set various limits (such as maximum result size or concurrent real-time searches) for search commands. literals.conf >> Customize the text, such as search error strings, displayed in Splunk Web. macros.conf >> Create and use search macros. multikv.conf >> Configure extraction rules for table-like events (ps, netstat, ls). outputs.conf >> Set up forwarding behavior. pdf_server.conf >> Configure the Splunk PDF Server. The PDF Server app was deprecated in Splunk Enterprise 6.0. The feature was removed in Splunk Enterprise 6.2. procmon-filters.conf >> Monitor Windows process data. props.conf >> Set indexing property configurations, including timezone offset, custom source type rules, and pattern collision priorities. Also, map transforms to event properties. pubsub.conf >> Define a custom client of the deployment server. restmap.conf >> Create custom REST endpoints. savedsearches.conf >> Define ordinary reports, scheduled reports, and alerts. searchbnf.conf >> Configure the search assistant. segmenters.conf >> Configure segmentation. server.conf >> Enable SSL for Splunk's back-end (communications between Splunkd and Splunk Web) and specify certification locations. serverclass.conf  >> Define deployment server classes for use with deployment server. serverclass.seed.xml.conf >> Configure how to seed a deployment client with apps at start-up time. source-classifier.conf >> Terms to ignore (such as sensitive data) when creating a source type. sourcetypes.conf >> Machine-generated file that stores source type learning rules. tags.conf >> Configure tags for fields. tenants.conf >> Configure deployments in multi-tenant environments (deprecated). times.conf >> Define custom time ranges for use in the Search app. transactiontypes.conf >> Add additional transaction types for transaction search. transforms.conf  >> Configure regex transformations to perform on data inputs. Use in tandem with props.conf. user-seed.conf >> Set a default user and password. viewstates.conf>> Use this file to set up IU views (such as charts) in Splunk. web.conf >> Configure Splunk Web, enable HTTPS. wmi.conf >> Set up Windows management instrumentation (WMI) inputs. workflow_actions.conf >> Configure workflow actions. In case of conflict over same parameter in .conf files at different locations then below is the default  priority which will over ride configuration: 1. System local directory -- highest priority 2. App local directories -- second highest 3. App default directories  --third highest 4. System default directory -- lowest priority
