*Claire and the boys were at a field, the sun was really hot that day. Claire wasn't enthusiastic of blowing grasshoppers with firecrackers, but she was fascinated by their crazy side.*

Claire: gross! I have pieces of that grasshopper on my shirt! 🤢

Butt-Head: miss Prissy! You are a pain in the ass! Beavis that was really cool! Huhuhuh!

Beavis: Shut up, bunghole! She's not a pain in the ass! But, yeah! That was really cool! *said excited shaking his arms* Don't worry Claire-bear! I'll clean that for you! Meheheh!

*Beavis took the remains of that locust chuckling as usual*

Claire: look! There's a lizard!

Butt-Head: let's blow up also that lizard! *said with his eyes wide open* Beavis, you are so good catching them! Huhuhuh!

Beavis: no way! I won't blow up that cute lizard! 😠

*Beavis looked at the tiny creature that was sensing that they weren't ordinary "predators"*

Claire: no, not again!

*Like a cat Beavis jumped on the poor lizard catching that*

Beavis: I gotcha! Look Claire! Isn’t that the most adorable thing you've ever seen!? Mehehehe! 😍

Claire: yeah, but don't put it so close! I feel squimish! 😖

Butt-Head: are you scared, miss Prissy? Huhuhuh! For a little lizard? 😈

Claire: shut up! You moron! I'm not scared! 😡

*the lizard was scared and since Beavis was distracted to watch their banter it jumped from his hands in order to run away and left its tail.*

Beavis: check this out! *Beavis put the tail that was still moving next to his face* Mehehehe! It tickles! 😁

Butt-Head: let me try! Dillweed! *he took the tail and put that next to his cheek* huhuhuh! That was cool!

Claire: what am I gonna do without you guys? Well... especially without Beavis!

Butt-Head: well, I can live nicely without you! Huhuhuh!

That's so incredible that people much younger than me are enjoying 90's cartoons that I've watched when I was a kid!

Or in case of Beavis and Butt-Head in my teen years (that aired at the end of the 90's).

Also that you prefer much the vintage cartoons to the modern one!

That's what I've always thought, it wasn't childhood nostalgia in my case, that cartoons had something really special!

I think there was more desire to experiment new techniques and new stories!

I don't demonize CGI, because when firstly came out it was an innovation and in the 2000s were made really amazing cartoons!

Shrek and Toy Story are still impressive nowadays!

⚠️TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ mention of suicide lightly. It's all fictional !!

Finally got back to the house.. busy chatting with some chick who kept telling me "that's clearly not Beavis!" Uh huh huh.. I hate Daria sometimes.. whatever.

Yeah.. yeah he is.. there might have been my ups and downs that upset him in the past.. that I might not get into detail.. but you could say when I'd be sitting on the couch, Beavis would look at me.. not the way he'd normally do. it's a look of horror yet sadness in a way.. then would ask me.. "why do you fear me.." and would go quiet, I dunno how to answer that one.. it scares me..

Then another day.. it's all a blur.. I was at my limit I remember.. but I pointed something at him when he tried to get closer.. loud bang goes off and all I can hear is a horrible screech and then I pass out.. woke up with the whole house quiet, nothing left but a drawing he left on my chest that day..

I don't wanna talk about it.. but I promise it's not my fault. I guess my actions hurt him. So yeah.. I guess Beavis does get emotional. Thanks for the question..—🎧

What I love the most about Beavis is that he's so genuine.

He doesn't need masks of any type, he's kinda like Spongebob in that sense.

He does everything came into his mind!

And he doesn't care what other people think, even if Butt-Head sometimes is a bit pressuring, he can be himself with him.

Butt-Head thinks that he's "odd", but I guess for him is like: "Oh, well! That's that dumbass of Beavis! What a surprise! Huhuhuh!"

Well, I guess Beavis is the one that accept Butt-Head no matter what.

That's why I see them as brothers more than lovers.

You never chose your brother or sister, you and also them are a gift!

I guess focusing on that aspect, this is a true friendship! 💙

I'm writing theese little roleplays as a teaser of what I'm currently writing.

An I would do it also with the regular chapters, or maybe little inedited scenes.

The story would be written properly, not as a roleplay.

In this side story Glennis will come back to school from the reformatory after 2 years.

She was changed a lot, but her love for Beavis never ended.

She saw Claire as a rival and she wanted to do everything to conquer Beavis's love.

What will might happen?

Glennis

*Claire was at the school cafetteria waiting for the boys*

Beavis: Hey, Claire-bear! Today we have nachos! Mhehehe!

Claire: Where have you been?

*they took the food and finally sit on a table*

Butt-Head: that chick that is in love with Beavis. When she like... huhuhuh! Made out with him... huhuhuh! Someone took a video. Huhuhuh! Apparently she had followers.

*Claire knew that Butt-Head said that just to mess with her*

Beavis: They were harassing her! I don't get what's wrong with them... I knew that she was bullied even back then.

*Claire felt a bit jelous that Beavis was thinking about her often since that damn kiss, but she couldn't help to feel compassionate to Glennis*

Butt-Head: because she is a weirdo! Huhuhuh!

Beavis: shut up Butt-Head! We are weirdos and no one bothered us!

Butt-Head: you are a weirdo and a wuss! I'm cool! Huhuhuh!

*Glennis looked at them while a group of girls laughed at her. She looked down feeling ashamed. Beavis bit his lip feeling bad for her.*

Butt-Head: hey, baby! Would you like to sit with us?

*Both Claire and Beavis were surprised. His partner in crime thought he wanted to make a move. He felt a bit embarassed after what happened between them. He glanced at Claire, but she was chill*

Glennis: hi, guys. Thanks for letting me sit with you...

*She took her look down on her plate feeling ashamed to look Beavis*

Beavis: well, like... hi, Glennis... mhehehe! How's it goin'?

I would like to talk again about "nice Butt-Head", because I must admit that's my favorite episode about Butt-Head.

And that pic is weirdly cute! It's rare seeing Butt-Head smiling.

This means that I'd like Butt-Head now?

Well, I surely like him a bit more, I still hate that he treats Beavis so poorly, but I can see some "good" in him.

(I'm sure Butt-Head's fans are screaming now! 😂 Anyway, I love you also people, I'm just being silly!)

About the episode, maybe as always could be weird what I say, because in Italy rarely, I think just with severe cases, psychiatrists prescribe drugs to kids.

They are more focused on a therapy, so that's why I insist that Butt-Head should do a better therapy.

Clearly that's my interpretation: Beavis saw his friend suddenly change.

He's not violent and rude, he's also a good student and not that silly, so Butt-Head could be smart?

We know that Beavis has potential even with his struggles, but his partner in crime?

I don't know, I think both of them are not that dumb, actually Butt-Head is quite cunning in his plans sometimes.

Also Beavis when he wants something is quite sly in order to obtain it.

Beavis is just naive, not stupid.

Anyway, even if we see a "nice Butt-Head" in fact... for Beavis it's an absolute nightmare!

He's also a kid that never had any adult explaining things.

He had to understand the world by his own, or with Butt-Head that has a distorted vision.

And neither of them understand anything as we know... 😅

In Beavis's eyes he was another person!

Like a weird doppelgänger.

Also Butt-Head was abusing with that drugs because they were like candies, he wasn't understanding what was happening to him.

Maybe he had to be properly followed by the psychiatrist that clearly is negligent!

So, our poor Beavis saw his friend completely changed addicted to that drugs and so he reacted with the only way he knows... with violence.

What does Butt-Head when Beavis is out of himself? He smacks him.

They don't know other ways to settle down, and that’s sad!

So, Beavis surely is brutal and unfair to Butt-Head that he couldn't defend himself, but that's what Butt-Head always does to him.

So that's why he allowed him to be beaten, because at that point Butt-Head was able to fight back.

In DTU Butt-Head said clearly when Beavis hit him with the book that the only way to resolve the conflict is to fight.

In that sense they are like animals.

I don't wanna say that is right, but that was always their way to resolve conflicts and even if nowadays Beavis is a panda cub he's violent too, if he had more perseverance he could be great practising martial arts.

Beavis clearly doesn't like being beaten, I think the ambiguity of the scene is in fact a normalization of the abuse and that he finally had Butt-Head back.

This doesn’t mean that Beavis is a masochist, he never knew a different Butt-Head, he rarely seen kindness so that's why is so cringed by Keith.

Well... also Butt-Head. I love so much Beavis as you know, but in the older series he wasn't that kind with anyone in fact... even with his friend.

After he met Serena he discovered that exists.

I want to point that not because is right that Beavis is an asshole, but he actually did a step forward.

So that's why is nicer, even if he has still to work hard

Many episodes on this new series seems focused on Butt-Head, I guess the Beavis' arc that wasn't completed in DTU is actually developed.

The Butt-Head's arc to me started with "take a bow", because we had a huge development of the character... if only that episode with the sunburn never happened... (I forgot always the title for how is disappointing!).

More than "nice Butt-Head", "Take a bow" to me is quite significant in his evolution.

I want to add that since I'm on Tumblr my perspective on Butt-Head changed.

I still think he's a pain in the ass sometimes! 😂 But I like him a bit more!

There's some people that I won't mention that make me hate him... but the purpose our fan's discussions is not convince others to like our favorite character, but to discover new shades of that character and as in my case you can apreciate this shades!

Or you still can't agree.

Luckily at least in fandoms we have freedom to think and do what we want.
