Nathaniel Rateliff - Pounds & Pounds
And it’s out of breath And it’s spinning around, In love with the sound of it’s own voice, And it’s toughest skin has been stretched so thin, it’s invisible to us
And if I forget will your hand be soft and guide me through it? And above all the rest I cant seem to pound my fist in deep enough…
There is no end without you There is no end without you There is no sun to keep us warm in the winter Without you I am… I am… I am… without you

http://www.mysticmamma.com/total-solar-eclipse-new-moon-in-pisces-equinox-march-20th-2015/
“Don’t look away. Whatever you see at this time, in the symbolic darkness of an obscured Sun, don’t look away. No matter what, it cannot diminish the authentic self within. This Real Self has power, it carries weight. It challenges the very foundations of life as we know it. It refuses to conform to mindless notions of right and wrong, to dictates of value and worth that dishonor inner wealth. It sees through artifice, laughs in the face of shame and denies everything but the bold and beautiful truth. The world is not ready for the Real Self and yet still it emerges, in you and in me, in the collective psyche which twists and turns to accommodate a deeper knowing that nothing is as it seems. The Real Self emerges every time we stop and wait, sensing the integrity of the moment, the deep, pulsating beat of the unified heart, time-keeper of our collective awakening. It grows in strength and fortitude each time we honor its wisdom over and above the expectations and demands of the external world which denies all but that which can be counted, compared and traded. The Real Self knows that to think one’s own thoughts is the only path to freedom, whilst the world demands unthinking conformity and the False Self agrees. The power of this solar eclipse will remove rose-tinted glasses and veils that hide the truth. We cannot stop it nor can we choose to postpone our own awakening. This – right here, right now – is the end of denial, the end of artifice, the end of avoidance. This is life in all its terrible grace and terrifying beauty. For this we were born: a visceral, unavoidable, undeniable confrontation with the very heart of All That Is. We may greet this eclipse in mourning or ecstasy, in freedom or bondage, but wherever we find ourselves we are living the life shaped by choices made, commitments honored, promises broken and betrayals enacted since the collective spirit was shaken awake never again to sleep.” --SARAH VARCAS

"As one coworker suggested, the company is probably not aiming for a niche market of super-customers eating their meals exclusively; their goal is more likely to get everybody to try 22 Days once. Buyers who switch to homemade and don't renew their meal subscription aren't a problem so long as they've helped stir up excitement around the idea of vegan eating in the process. There's a line in the welcome pamphlet that seems really important, for admitting its small role: "We are excited to be a part of your journey to healthy living!!" I don't think 22 Days will be joining me on the rest of my journey, but I bet they'll be fine with that. Even before blasting out this story, I probably talked to a dozen people about their products, cracking the same dumb joke about how eating like Beyoncé was really firming up my ass. If I didn't already eat like this, I'm certain I'd feel emboldened to add vegan meals to my diet."
Yes, so on point. If Bey wants to use her celebrity to make plant-protein trendy I'm so down for it. It's really so simple, all people need is exposure and a little impetus. And the planet needs it.
Unlike this author, I'm not just a vegetarian for ethical reasons alone. While I believe that my vegetarianism is an act of opposition to the oppression of animals through the industrialization of the meat industry I initially chose to stop eating meat because I became aware of the spiritual implications of eating meat (i.e. taking on karma) when I read the Bhagavad Gita. True story. My life has a whole different tone when I don't put meat in my body. I'll always love the taste of meat and miss the foods that I grew up on in my heritage but this is something I do for peace in body mind and soul. Truth.

Bad Dreams
1. I'm taking a plane by myself to an unknown destination. I'm in the airport going through security, I get lost and find a room full of shoes and think I should take some of them. I find a women's magazine to take with me on the plane lose it and find another; it seems monumentally important that I have something to read on this flight. I run through the airport to find I'm in my gate without my ticket, I don't even know my seat number. My best guy friend rescues me from the airport. We walk outside the airport into the woods. I hop onto his back and kiss his neck and ask him if he remembers when he used to give me gifts. I can see the gifts in my mind, a necklace and some earrings. He says he does. I ask if we can go back to that. He doesn't say anything. He asks if I've been drinking. I realize I am drunk and back at the airport and I slide down some place where there are half empty bottles of wine everywhere and I am spilling them all. I am back out in the woods and I walk away from Dustin and he doesn't follow I me and I am collapsing and crying. Suddenly I am standing outside of a house, the neighbors are complaining about me. I've been binge drinking on the porch for weeks and it's unsightly, they're calling the police. I wash the vomit and spilled wine from the sidewalk with a hose.
2. I'm in a hazy room filled with men I don't know; the air is hostile. They talk about how a mod (as in a vape) modified to get you drunk killed a guy. They have a cure for that they made out of their own cum, it has some stupid name like cumsauce. Someone brings up whether it's gay to drink semen. Someone wants a female alternative, "Nah bro just give me a nipple" another guy brings up the pussy as a viable option. They start debating the merits of the womb. I want to speak up and say "It has the power to create life!" but I have no voice. I can't talk. I'm lying face down on a couch or a bed or a table. Then they get really intellectual talking about the penis and the vagina in terms of mythology I've never heard of laughing and making snide remarks. Suddenly they become aware of my presence and leer toward me. I try to hold my ground, show a brave face, I'm still lying down. I twist my head around and say "boo!" weakly. They are caught off guard. Then they all begin chanting in unison "are you done yet? Are you done yet? Are you done yet?..." I wake myself up.

Mike Brodie was 17 years old when he first started hopping freights in 2003. Since then, over the course of several years, the photographer traveled 50,000 miles across the US by any means available—walking, hitchhiking, and train-hopping. His iconic series A Period of Juvenile Prosperity documents the gritty, nomadic lifestyle of vagabonds, hobos, and Brodie’s fellow train-hoppers as they led lives as sordid as they were liberating.
