I decided to being one of my ferret illustrations from earlier this year to life in wool! This is for a group show called "Common Threads", and with my piece the common thread (well, common fiber) is wool and I used two different techniques with it to make this guy.
His body is needle felted wool over clipped foam and his sweater is knitted wool/wool blend yarn. I have no idea which took me longer, the knitting or the felting, but I am so happy with this guy. It was sad to send him off to the gallery but I am hoping he finds a loving home!
