You both were detectives and you both knew the dangers of your job. You both also knew you two were capable enough to protect yourselves yet when the night had taken over the sky Heizou couldn't help but shake his leg in anxiety as he sat on the couch of your shared house trying not to imagine a lifeless you laying on a ground, trying not to imagine having to confirm it's your body that has been found. He was trying to belive in you and your abilities trying to belive you were fine and simply were still at work going through documents but as silence fell upon the Inazumian grounds he could not stay positive anymore. He stands up walking towards the door planning to come to your work place but stops on his tracks upon opening the door. There you were standing in front of the door your hand weakly holding on the doorknob, blood splattered on your clothes but not visible wounds on your body. His eyes widen quickly scanning you for any wounds before tugging you into his embrace wrapping his arms around you tightly his head resting on your shoulder slightly shaking. His embrace hurt but you couldn't help than to hug him back letting out a sigh “I'm sorry”

You start running and before you even realized you were already in front of his office opening the door without knocking. He was standing in the middle of the room nit having moved from his last discussion with someone you could hear a sniff and let out a sigh walking up to him. Neuvillete had noticed your presence and tried to hide his face but it was no avail as you grab him by his arm turning him around before wrapping your hands around him stroking his back in a comforting way. His eyes widen slightly before he rests his head in your shoulder tightly hugging you as he continues to cry feeling guilty from the last discussion in his office. “It's fine Neuvi everything is fine”

neuvillette, the most respected man in the nation of hydro, more than their archon focalors. he commands respect wherever he goes, his aura still polite, ever so approachable. however, the power of his position cowers people. they are often rendered scared to approach him, some of them literally profusely sweating around his nimble aura.

you, were his wife now, his significant other. someone he cherished more than life itself & someone who made you feel safe, heard, protected. it was said that he was the most sought out bachelor in fontaine before he left his heart for you one day. “break it or keep it. it isn’t mine anymore.” is what he said, when he proposed you. oh the words ring into your ear like the finest melodies till date.

the steambird/ the media was eager to cover everything about the wedding; but to their surprise— neuvillette took you outside fontaine. the city of freedom — monstadt is where you two tied the knot in the presence of a certain, melodious and a high alcohol simp bard.

truth be told, once you were married. there were people who forced false allegations on you. how you manipulated the chief justice into falling in love with you. how you are fake and you act in accordance to his liking to be loved by him. some people even tried to forge false cases against you. all of which— deeply entertained furina. thankfully, neuvillette was never someone to pay attention to any of these things. at one time, he himself fought for you in a false trial. you couldn’t be more thankful.

rains— the legend of hydro dragon weeping causing the rains was famous throughout the country of fontaine. one day, when neuvillette came home a little early, looking distressed, you noticed a harsh, unforgiving thunderstorm drenching the country. you walked towards the terrace, looking up and gently, soothingly whispering. “oh- hydro dragon. please don’t cry.” the rain… lessened. it was as if the intensity had been lessened.

it wasn’t more time until neuvillette confessed to you about him being a hydro dragon. ever since then, whenever there had been rains in fontaine, you make sure to find your beloved husband and hug him tightly, kiss his forehead and tell him everything will be alright. it breaks you apart seeing him like this after all.

sometimes when he comes back home, he always brings your favorite flowers, maybe your favorite desserts, along with a beaming smile only you have seen. people who are aquainted to you often ask if neuvillette being the chief justice and being the most powerful man in fontaine makes your married life difficult. truth is.. it could never. they just haven’t had any access to the good that your beloved dragon holds.

things do get riff-raffy when furina acts a little too childish around him. he pays no attention to her self-centered, self-absorbed behavior but it pinches you how she bothers him for every little thing. once, there was a celebratory banquet held for the same and your displeased face told neuvillette in that very instant — how you’d like the archon to ‘behave’ around your husband. he has been extra careful ever since. <3

your husband might look stern, but he is a soft man. you have witnessed this first hand with how respectfully and tenderly he treats you. on the bad days of your period, the chief justice is nothing but a doting husband for his wifey. you can always be snuggled up to him and cry, or just spend time.

he is a HUGE cuddle bug. would love to destress off work by wrapping his big arms around you and peppering your face with tender kisses. he smells amazing too! always making you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

You were impatiently waiting at the harbor praying to the already gone geo archon hoping that he could still hear your prayers. Usually Beidou would always send you letters to keep you up to date with her travels but this time, you recieved nothing from her. Not a letter, not a word, nothing. Your attention comes back to your suroundings upon the sound of loud crewmates, Beidou’s crew mates. They were all over the place, reuniting with their family and friends, chucking down bottles of water and wine and even crying relived that they survied. Your eyes only scanned the area for a moment before spotting the tall standing captain of the crux. Beidou doesn’t fail to notice you run towards her with a wide smile and teary eyes. Putting down a few boxes she barely manages to open her arms before you jump into her embrace. Arms wrap around you picking you up from the ground and spinning you aroud, the smell of the sea and the salty texture that feels annoying on your face make you even more happier. She was here, alive and well, and yet again she had brought the whole sea for you.

Zhongli

Night had fallen upon the wide lands of the geo archon. Most of the working people were on their way home and that was no diffrent for Zhongli. In his hands he was holding a bouquet of glaze lilies and a box of some fine made desserts, a gift for you. It was quite an expensive gift but that didn’t matter as it was you he was spending the mora for. His walk to your shared house was short almost unoticable as he had taken that road so often that it has become a reflex something he does without thinking. He opens the door slowly walking in trying to suprise you which is a success, he walks behinds you bringing the bouquet in front of you. It was a suprise to you, despite the amount of gifts he brings you almost daily and the amount of times he sneaks up despite his mature behavior it still stays a pleasant suprise, though you would apreciate it if he could use less mora on those gifts.You wrap your arms around him causing him to almost drop the gifts. The smell of his cologne fill in your senses, something you always look forward too. It is such a familiar smell to you, such a sweet one that makes you feel at home. Having setteled the gifts down Zhongli carefully wraps his arms around you, holding you as if you could break any moment as if you were the most valuable thing in the whole of Teyvat. “Thank you and welcome home Zhongli” “Everything for you my dear.”

The smell of alcohol was not lingering like it used too. Usually the tone deaf bard would reek of that bitter sweet smell that would come from the place you two first met but today he smelled like cecilia flowers and like something else, like something familiar , you couldn’t figure out what exactly though. His embrace tightened around you not enough to hurt you but enough to know he won’t let go soon, enough to know you were gone for too long. You lay your head on his shoulder/head taking in the smell. He smells familiar. “I missed you” he smells like home.
