Culinary Caddy Add-On – Appliance Slot Update!

Here’s a small but super handy add-on I made for the Kitchen Clutter Kit:

I’ve updated the Culinary Caddy to support small appliances—yes, that includes the coffee maker, grinder, and other countertop gadgets! You can now place them directly on the caddy, and they’ll work as expected in-game.

About this item:

I’ve added appliance slots to the Culinary Caddy object. That means you can now place coffee makers, grinders, toasters, and more right on the caddy surface.

Use it in cozy kitchens, bistros, or anywhere space is tight but functionality matters.

The object remains unchanged visually — you keep the clean design of the original caddy, but it’s now way more versatile.

Add-ons for The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop Kit!

I just released a small add-on set to expand the Restoration Workshop Kit — perfect for giving your Sims' garage, workshop, or maker space even more life and realism!

About this CC Mini Kit:

6 clutter objects that have been separated from the original furniture.

I’ve added appliance slots to both the Workshop Shelf – Tall and Workshop Shelf – Short (Place and repair appliances right on the shelves or use them in industrial-style kitchens).

Now both the Craft-Master Toolkit and The Tool Titan have some functionality: Your Sims can purchase upgrade parts directly from these objects, right in their own garage or crafting space. No more running to a computer just to buy a plumbing part!

My Purrfect Cat Café (CC Pack for The Sims 4)

Are you ready to create the ultimate cat café for your Sims?

This project was an absolute joy to create! I’ve always loved the idea of cat cafés, so when The Sims 4 Business and Hobbies EP made it possible to run functional ones, I knew I had to bring this vision to life. I wanted something fun and irresistibly cute, filled with details that make a cat café feel special.

I had so much fun designing new shapes and playful elements that don’t exist in the game—like cat trees shaped like flowers, complete with a tiny bee for cats to play with! There’s also a cute chair with a ribbon bow on the back, which adds an extra touch of charm to any café setup. One of my favorite objects in the pack is the functional pastry display—bake your cakes and place them right in for Sims to buy, making the café feel even more alive!

To really capture the spirit of a place dedicated to cat lovers, I packed in as many feline-themed details as possible—neon signs, decals, menus, and flyers, all designed to make the space feel authentic. And because no café is complete without great coffee, I also created a brand-new espresso machine and grinder! They're modest in size, making them perfect for small café spaces while still delivering that cozy coffeehouse vibe.

Casanova Expanded - Unofficial Kit addon with 14 edits and 4 New items

The latest kits are a cool concept; basing the theme on an iconic character. However, splitting the budget between CAS and BB items leaves BB lacking (CAS stands on it's own for the most part). So you know what that means? New items. Some other people had the same idea so hopefully mine feels unique enough to stand on it's own.

I guess someone doesn't want Amy to investigate the mysterious missing items... Yup 'blast from the past' started with a blast from the sky when Amy first met Emit.

Nonetheless she's been succesfull up till now, even with the side mission I gave her:

So Amy now has 2 kids/science babies: one with the Grim Reaper and one with Emit Relevart. Both are girls by the way (Evita and Kali). She'll be busy and not just with the event missions/tasks...

So the new roadmap picture from Yesterday has a lot of interesting hints to future content, but one of them picked my interest... Back in December jackofallgames theorized on X that one of the future new worlds in the game may be Amsterdam/the Netherlands inspired. 👀Seeing this drawing of which is clearly a canal house is the most direct hint at Amsterdam that i could think of. And since it's combined with the text 'open for business' it's clear to me that it's connected to the upcoming Businesses & Hobbies EP.

Because of ahem 'reasons' I'm not putting a direct link to a post on X here, but there's a youtube video by fantayzia that covers this hint/theory from last December as well. See below.

We'll have to wait and see what the new EP trailer shows later today (it releases in the evening here), but I fairly confident that we'll see more canal houses and tulips (and tulip fields perhaps) in the trailer...

I'll keep my expectations low on how they'll fill in his theme (expecting lots of stereotypes, but only family friendly ones of course...)

Well, what have I been up to in the past months? Actually I haven't played that much during the summer... I did do the login event and got all the rewards before we got them for free a couple of months later (because the event was bugged). And speaking of bugged events, yes I'm playing the Reaper's Rewards event. After a rocky start I progressed a little bit with Devin (a midlife crisis seemed like a good starting point to seek a bit of adventure assisting Grim). However since last week's patch I switched to a new save without mods.

So here's Amy Hammond, fishing for Angelfish in Crawdad Quarter in Willow Creek.

Meanwhile she's finished the quests from week 4. Now only week 5 and 6 (and 2 weeks to go). I think I'll have enough time to manage that, though it involves grinding Amy's skills (cooking, gourmet cooking, etc).

As for the Abbotts: I'll switch back to them after finishing the Reapers Rewards event. Since I've played them a couple of times, lot of things have happened, including lots of family members aging up. So I need to catch up with my family tree first before I can play again. At this point I might as well start writing new posts first. If I have enough posts to fill up a queue that'll be running for a long enough time, I'll start posting here again. 🙂🤞

Hello, I'm still here! 👋 Haven't played that much yet (busy with lots of other things), but I've experienced the chaos of 4 small children, a sleepover and lots of quirks and milestones. 🫣I also collected all the login event rewards, though I had to wait till June 13th (?) to start collecting.

In the meanwhile here are some excerpts from my current Abbott family tree (from the My Family Tree app), focussed on our current main Sim: Devin Abbott. I also have a pic of the full family tree, starting from Kendall, but that one is 47496 x 1925 pixels. 🫣The whole tree has 500 individual Sims in it at the moment. 😲It's also becoming a bit of a mess in the app at this point, so it seems I'm stretching the limits of what this app can handle. We'll see.

On another note: I did see the trailer of the Lovestruk EP. An interesting EP, I must say! We'll have to see how it works out when it's released (with regards to bugs etc), but I feel like this one will become the #1 pack I'd want to have (of all the packs, kits etc I haven't bought yet). I think I'll wait until Devin and Mara's kids are old enough to join the dating pool however. That'll be a while since the firstborn (Amada) is still a toddler ingame. I'd expect that the pack will probably have had its first discount by the time I'm ready to buy it. We'll see how long it takes... 😉And maybe the pack is interesting enough to buy earlier. 🙂

And with that, I've run out of screenshots again. 😳That means I'll have to take a break until I can play long enough to have a sufficient stock of screenshots again.

I can give you a tiny peek behind the scenes however: I did get some add-ons to the game: first I bought Highschool Years when it was on sale in December (the last couple of screenshots I already had that pack, but without teens in the household there's not much to see and experience yet). We had another sale a couple of weeks ago and at that time I bought Growing Together. I haven't been able to play with the Abbotts however, so I haven't experienced the extra challenges that the kids (especially the infants) will be with the new gameplay. So, wish me luck for my next (long) play session with the Abbotts. 🫣🤞

After all the guests had left the house, Mara brought Devin to bed and went to sleep alongside him. It had been an exhausting day for her as well! And the kids? The nannies looked after all 4 of them and made sure they were clean and well-fed before bedtime.

In the afternoon, Amada’s family had arrived and Devin’s sister Demi as well! That his sister had come over as well was a pleasant surprise for Devin. His other sibling all called to tell Devin that they wouldn’t come. His brothers were occupied with the arrangements that were necessary to keep living in the house that they grew up in, and Devin’s other sister Thera had a work shift that she couldn’t cancel. Well that just left Demi to catch up with! Devin and his sister talked about their mother of course but also about what had happened in their lives. Devin showed Demi her new nieces and nephews and Demi had some big updates for Devin as well. She and Thera had moved out and shared a house together, and not just with the two of them: both sisters had a boyfriend and they had moved in with the sisters. Demi invited Devin to come over to see their new house and meet her and her sisters’ boyfriends: Liam Beckett and Stefano Bigoli. Of course Devin accepted the invite, and he would like to see the new house and both boyfriends soon. However he also had to go visit his brothers and see how they were doing and if they needed his help. With all the work of the day and the talking, it had been quite an exhausting day for Devin and as the family visit ended, Devin had passed out. So it was Mara who said goodbye to her family and her sister-in-law, and wished them all a safe journey home, hoping to see them sometime soon!

While Devin was busy cooking, Mara went outside the house for another Family Fest activity: giving gifts to the garden gnomes. Since Harvestfest they had become part of the family and Mara thanked them for guarding the house and garden.

While they ate their slices of Adaro’s birthday cake, Mara and Devin updated each other about what had happened last night. Mara just had the antics of their kids to share and of especially how newborn Akira was doing. Devin however had to bring the sad news to Mara that his mother, Phoenix, had passed away last night... That was a shock to Mara and put a real damper on her plans for today. She had organized a family get-together for both families to get to know each other and to see their grandkids and nieces and nephews.  She had even created a holiday for it, with a grand dinner and some other activities. Should she cancel everything? Her parents and brother ware already on their way from Mt Komorebi! ‘Well let them come’, said Devin. ‘Your parents are still around and they should meet their grandkids.’ Devin didn’t expect his family to turn up, but he would go see them later anyway. And so they decided to wait and see who would turn up later today. With a heavy hart, Mara started the activities of what should have been a day of joy and celebration of their families. She had a surprise gift for Devin and gave it to him. As Devin unpacked the gift he saw that it was a new set of kitchen knives! Ah how nice! It was a nice balanced high quality set and he couldn’t wait to try them! Mara suggested to use them to prepare the big family dinner for today. That was of course a good idea, cooking would put his mind of the sad family situation for the Abbotts. And thus Devin started cooking for the big dinner, while Mara put the kids to bed for their midday naps.

/AN: such a pity that Phoenix passed away just before the ‘Family Fest’ that Mara and Devin organized. :’(

The next morning, we find Devin busy in the kitchen. It was Adaro’s birthday today, so Devin had to bake a cake to celebrate! After a little wait for the cake to cool off (and to clean the kitchen and get dressed), Devin fetched his oldest son to help him blow out the candles.

And here’s Adaro as a toddler! He’s got the charmer trait upon aging up. As for his appearance he seems to take mostly after his mother, but it’s difficult to tell at this young age.

When it was time to close the restaurant, reality hit Devin hard. Burdened by exhaustion and grief, Devin dragged himself back home. He had worn himself out completely, and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow, totally unaware of the plans his wife had made for tomorrow.

The restaurant has a small profit tonight, but the rating had increased to 4,5 stars! Maybe it’s time to increase the food prices?

Devin fully focused on his guests to not be overwhelmed by the loss of his mother. He spent his evening by welcoming newly arrived guests, recommending meals, answering questions about ingredients and preparations. The hours flew by and the efforts of Devin and his staff were well received. The guests were happy about the personal attention and the service they experienced.

While Devin was drinking his coffee, he got very bad news: his mother had passed away! He needed some time to recover from the shock and stayed in the back room while he let his staff run the restaurant. Of course Devin wasn’t in the mood to work now, but the restaurant had just opened for the day and he didn’t want to send his staff away now just after they had come to work. Devin was fully immersed in his grief and didn’t know that the first guest had arrived. Despite all the sadness that was at least a good sign after yesterday’s failure. When he heard Julian getting busy in the kitchen, preparing the first meals of the evening, Devin finally had the courage to recollect himself and to go mingle with his staff and guests.
