Yes I totally agree, it would be alot better if it wasn't him. So Suzume could realize that she still loves that poor guy and eventually she will face her feelings instead of running away from them

Well I don't know if that's him or not but I think the party was 2 days before Mazume's date, because their date is supposed to be on the "free" 3rd day and Mamura asked Suzume out during the 1st day at Okinawa while Shishio was sleeping at his house. Then during the same day Shishio got Tsubomi's call inviting him to the part saying "Will you come to Yukichi's bbq party today?" so I guess that means the party was also on the 1st day not 3rd (I suck at explaining things I'm sorry T-T)
