If he had to describe her, it would be along the lines of cherry tomato. Not a good one though…more like someone had left it in a July sun for about an hour.

Hinata’s skin was…how he imagined human bodies would look without skin. He was secretly disgusted but he was her husband — he made a commitment to love her. He wondered how she would feel about a temporary divorce…you know, just until her skin healed.

“Can you rub this ointment on my back,” she asked.

Sasuke closed his eyes for a moment. He could do it. He could ghost on her for a few weeks. She’d be hurt but she would have to understand that he was not built for this lifestyle.

“Aa,” his body agreed against his mind’s plea. He was still so stupidly in love with her. How many years did he have to wait until they were allowed to hate each other because saying no to her would be so much easier.

He squeezed white medicated lotion into his palm and watched his wife peel off her swimsuit top. Truth be told…They were too pale for the beach. Luckily, by the Grace of the Heavens his skin tanned…Hinata wasn’t as fortunate.

He rubbed the lotion between his hands and placed them on her back. She cried in pain. He apologized.

“It hurts so bad,” she bit her lips.

He could say the same. It truly surprised him how much he loved this crispy tomato.
