Slightly annoyed, Sarada reached into her bag and took out a candy bar. She handed it to Sasuke with a humpf. “Don’t worry. The rest of what I have are protein bars, an apple, and some onigiri.” 

Her annoyance drifted away when he said that he’d still be home. A smile spread across her lips, “Good. It’d suck if I came back and you left for another mission.”

Until then, the bar would sit on top of the fridge. 

His dark eyes scanned over her face. She had a beautiful and warm smile, just like her mother. He lifted his hand to pat her on top of the head, as if to reassure her.

Sasuke was usually a light sleeper, but he’d about collapsed when he returned home from a long mission the night before – that was the only way he would have missed someone doing something this absurd.

His eyes narrowed. Hair clips, seemingly those of a child (they weren’t exactly the fashion statement he was going for.)

‘ ... What the hell? ‘ He was fortunate to find evidence quickly; a long strand of hair was still attached to one of the gaudy accessories. Rest assured, the culprit would be incurring his wrath in the near future.
