Sasuke kissed her back, sliding his arms around her waist. He gave a soft chuckle as she teased him, resting his forehead against hers.

"I don't think much else needs to be said, my love... save for..." He placed a hand gently under her chin, tilting her head up to look him in the eyes, gazing back into hers for a moment before he spoke again, his voice low, but very clear.

"...Welcome home."

The question of why they, adults in their 20s, were playing spin the bottle was lingering in his mind as they all sat down in a circle to do so. Were they really that bored while waiting on the rest of the group, pregaming until the bars started to actually get busy? Either way, he sat down on the floor like a Kindergartener. Criss cross applesauce, hands in the bowl. 

Sasuke didn’t pay attention to who’s turn it was, he was busy scrolling mindlessly on his phone looking through the group texts of those that had yet to show up and their lame excuses for why they were running behind. Suddenly his name was being called, someone pushed him on the arm to pay attention. “Oooo Sasuke! It landed on you!” 

Eyes lazily pulled away from the bright screen of his phone, looking once at the bottle with a small smirk forming on his face to say something a little sarcastic. “Lucky you.” He said, his eyes having made the connection to who it landed on. Termari.. There was not doubt that she was attractive, the blonde hair was a feature that he liked in a girl and her overall ‘take no shit’ vibe too. 

There’s no rush, no awkwardness, as the two of them stood up on their knees to lean across the circle the group had made for their little game tonight. He took the lead, grabbing her cheek gently in the palm of his hand to pull her the remaining inch or two so that their lips could meet. Their lips meet in a brief, but electric, kiss- the two of them putting a little more passion into it than one normally would in such a silly little game. Might as well give them a show while they were at it, right? 

As the two of them parted ways, their friends laughed and some whistled at the unlikely pair. Sasuke couldn’t help but to flash her a toothy smirk, throwing a wink in her direction as they sat back down in their respective spots. “Not bad Temari.” He teased her, grabbing the bottle to spin for the next round.

The battlefield was filled with chaos- dust clouded the air, the scent of scorched earth and metal mingling with the tension of unrelenting combat. Sasuke and Temari stood in the center of it, his breaths ragged from the ongoing fighting and his Sharingan flaring with a dangerous, unrestrained intensity. Temari stood back to back with him, her fan planted in the ground for balance.

 Her voice cut through the racket of distant screams and clashing of steel, Sauske could barely hear her but the sound managed to process. “Take a breath. Remember to ground yourself, “ She called, her tone firm but not unkind. She took a half step backwards so that her back pressed against his, offering a grounding touch.

“Ground myself?” He echoed her words bitterly, his tone a mix of frustration and exhaustion and a sarcastic laugh slipped through his lips. His eyes scanned the battlegrounds- taking in the sights of moving bodies as they charged at one another  and  the smoke lingered in the air.. “You think I can just stop? That I can pull back now?” Sasuke questioned, his lips curling into a bitter line. “I’m not like you, Temari.”

Temari did not seem to be phased by his words, his expression or the venom that leaked from him. She remained calm, her presence an  anchor to the Uchiha. His breathing hitched as he forced himself to release some of the build up tension in his shoulders, blinking away his Sharingan. “I’m not like you.” He repeated, this time with something sort of like uncertainty, more humanlike.

SOOO it’s the end of this dumbass year... Still have no bf, still at uni and still tired af from life *sobs*. My love for rping has never disappeared throughout this year and I’m so happy I’ve made Kakashi. This man has been hell of a joy to write especially with all you guys. I know I’ve remade this guy a few times ( there are dicks on this site... ) but there are a few of you who have been there for me and just made this such a fun experience.

@tevsai - honestly, idk when we even started talking and I don’t care. I’M JUST GLAD WE DID. You’re an a amazing person who brings joy to me whenever I come on. Talking with you OOC has been a blessing and rping with you has been even more so. You’ve been there for me, even worried when I disappeared and I can’t explain how much it means to me that you’ve just been there all this time. idk what I’ll do without you!

@ramenthings - You’ve made me laugh SO MUCH... You don’t even understand. I’ve had some of the best moments on here talking/rping with you and you’re such an amazing person.
