Some info on me and this photo which was taken 8 years ago btw by @whothefuckisrichardperkins ...in the creative Hub #757 ... I was the type of girl who would drop all my courses, buy a one way ticket to LA, and find a place to stay with 19 dollars in my pocket. Thanks to some good advice by @bigjuice205 ... that one chance meeting with Interscope and Ester Dean basically changed my life lol... My family would say Satasha where did you go lol...I’ve never been afraid... I’ve failed so many times in life and no matter how huge the failure I’d just get back up and go for more... I just could never except the lost. I remember moving back to LA with 311 dollars once ... I paid 300 to some girls renting out a room share in Echo Park and was like well ... I’m here now (I had to call my dad and ask for money 🤣😭) Thank God for that... I remember going back again by car across country to attend a meeting with The CEO of Good Music that never happened. Having to call my family and tell them that it wasn’t going to happen broke my heart. I was lucky that I had my baby because I wanted to give up on life ... I thought I would never get there again and yet here I am. I’ve been at the door so many times Thanks to @byrd757 for putting me in the same room as Timbaland. For believing in me. I’m not just a singer I’m also like a woman lmao ... it’s so interesting to me with the new perspective thats taken on such popularity in regard to rape culture and sexual harassment ... makes me think why are we so undervalued as women when we create life. We give birth to it. I’ve had my own internal struggle with self value. When people say things like well at least now women are being acknowledge as victims of assault I’m just kinda like... oh ok I mean it should have been acknowledged but thanks 🤷🏽‍♀️👀... but anyways back to self love... the only way to do this is to learn to love yourself independently without the help of a man or a partner.
