for context: the prompt here was to create a piece encapsulating our doubt [regarding our final series of paintings, and in response to the amy sillman essay, "shit happens"] in an artistic setting.
i chose to derive the imagery from dali's "persistence of memory" to evoke my own doubt regarding my work's longevity & impact - a literal fear of running out of time to create a coherent, articulate statement through art.
