The Death Cure by James Dashner
Rating ; 2,5/5
Read in ; English, paperback
Comment ; I was very disappointed with this third and last book of the trilogy (mind you, Dashner has since released two prequels). If the first few chapters are just as addicting than the two previous books, the rest of the book is dragged on. The character development seemed lousy and the end left us on our hunger after such a great build up in two previous books. Still worth the read if only for the quality of the rest of the series, but I did not bother with the prequels.

The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
Rating ; 4/5
Read in ; English, paperback
Comment ; A very good sequel to The Maze Runner. I really enjoyed this and it was a promising continuation for the Maze Runner series. Went through it in a few days during travel a few years back, just as addicting as its predecessor.

The Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
Rating ; 5/5
Read in ; English on my kindle
Comment ; For a fifth time in this series, Maas shows her ingenuity and talent. I rushed through it. I read somewhere that it would be the final book of the series and I seriously hope not because it ends on a huge plot twist and I could not bear to have this kind of end to this fascinating series!

Looking for Alaska by John Green
Rating ; 5/5
Read in ; English and French, both in Paperback
Comment ; Probably favorite book of all time! Read it twice in English and once in French (DO NOT recommend the french translation from France). From the characters, to the themes, to the humour, to the narration, everything about this book is great! It's coherent from beginning to end and captivating. It's gonna crush you emotionally like a great John Green book does but you're gonna enjoy it for the most part, at least I did. A great book to read multiple times because the rereading gives a different perspective and insight into the book and its meaning. Wonderful reflections that come out of this reading. It was actually the very first book that left me utterly awestruck. I recommend a 200 %!!!

Paper Towns by John Green
Rating ; 5/5
Read in ; English in Paperback
Comment ; John Green's book always leave behind a great philosophical reflection and Paper Towns is no different. In this book, Green shows how damaging it can be to idealise someone by thinking of her as more than a person. To accomplish that, he writes in an extremely funny and heart-felt narration as Q, the main character and makes an incredible job in the character developpement of both Q and Margo. Very easy to read and enjoyable. The end came as a bit of a disappointment to me in the first place, but when I reread the entire book I realise how coherent it was to the lesson that came out of it and how it could not have ended differently.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Rating ; 4,5/5
Read in ; English in Hard cover
Comment ; It took me a while to get into this book for some reason even though I had absolutely loved the first two books. Veronica Roth really keeps it going with the great character developpement and makes a great loop with this final book. The narrative is now devided between Four and Tris which I loved. The end is devastating but well thought of and coherent with the whole serie. You will hate because it's gonna destroy you but love it for the brilliance with which Roth has plotted the whole Divergent serie.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth
Rating ; 4/5
Read in ; Quebec French in Paperback
Comment ; All around very good sequel to Divergent. It keeps the good narrative of its precedor as well as the suspense. The character developpement is extremely interesting although I did think that Tris was very annoying at first. Although she annoyed me her charater developpement was coherent and constructive to the story line. The same comments go to Four's character developpement. The French translation still has the same grammar mistakes as the first one.

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Rating ; 4,5/5
Read in ; Quebec French in Paperback
Comment ; A really great book! I was hooked from the first chapters! This book keeps you on the of your seat and the character development of Tris. Beatrice is great. The narrative is also very good. A very interesting beginning to a great series. I would not recommend the French translation though since it has many grammar errors which bothered the whole time. Other than that, it felt like gave off the vibe off the book in a very effective way.
